As promised, the BEST control is back! Just wanted to say, the channel has been growing crazy fast and I appreciate all the support guys. I have quite a few deck ideas in the works, some spicy and some competitive, so stay tuned for that. If I have enough time, I'll also be making meta update videos showcasing the current state of the meta and the best decks. If you aren't subscribed please do ... it really helps ! Thanks again, and enjoy the content!
For sure you play well, meet you last month in the ladder❤ this month im still at p4...no matter what i do...even in my shelter Explorer nowadys leyline Is everywhere...Hope they gonna ista ban that shit and restore sanity...till that day, as azorius lover gonna give this a shot😊 atm, what do you think Is capable of raping rdw? Subbed cauze u deserve Ur support dude. Hope to fight u again in mythic soon...
This deck has the highest win rate for me again't red aggro while at the same time being good against other decks. There was a lot of mono red before mythic and pretty much farmed them. Against Mono Red and all the red decks actually, the key is the timing of your removal.
I was mildly sceptical on the basic nature of the deck, but it works wonders in this meta. Still on the fence about replacing a Demo field or two with a Mirrex or Fountain Port to give me something to do and add tokens for the Farsight, but has been doing very well generally. Cheers!
Jace wins all games. After you beat off all the creatures Jace wins. After you’ve countered all the big spells and get lost the planes walkers Jace wins. I have no buyers remorse over making Jace.
I love your videos! Imagine my disappointment when I saw that you only have around 5 videos from the post-Duels era. I hope you will continue making more! Subscribed.
I used your deck to climb to rank #217 mythic! I hadn't played for a while, so I climbed from bronze to gold w/ monored+sellsword, then I switched to your deck and i just got out of diamond

Where are the other videos????? Keep feeding the beast.
Thanks for the deck, I use it and it's very functional. In the first video, it's a perfect example of being a stupid monored player who doesn't know how to play and climbs up to #22 using netdecking. Keep going, man!
Any suggested tweaks for lower ranks. I’m getting killed out here. Running out of cards or taking too much damage too early. Thanks bro, love the deck.
most of the time its picking your shots. just gotta learn other deck's big hitters to remove or counter, sometimes you need to let things through. and also half the cards leave you open so you need to know when you get let them do what they want for a turn. all this is generally early game, once you have enough mana it gets easier to control the board state.
What's good! Great video and I'll def be trying this list. I've been running Jeskai control and I love it's proactive control style - do you think Jeskai can hang at this level or nah?
Do you think this is possible to work for a BO3? Any ideias dor SB? Kinda love this deck and wanted to bring it to the upcoming standard season! And where getting 2 high noon in there wouldn't be good.
I could be wrong but I'm not sure SO much early interaction is needed in the main deck for BO3 - it depends on the meta which is still not solidified this early. Could cut down on the lockdowns as well for the new card split up. For the sideboard a couple of negates, deduce, tidebinder, the rest of the lockdowns/split up, flankers, 3rd sunfall, the new exorcize ... a lot of options.
Will try it for sure, I'm really struggling to find a new deck in this meta that I enjoy. How critical do you think the restless anchorages are for attacking/blocking? What about replacing them with 4 of the surveil lands (that are also Islands/Plains) to get the value for playing the land, and then replacing tranquil cove with 4 of the new floodfarm verge? I feel like 8-12 tapped lands are such a punish.
Give it a shot and let me know how it goes! The life gain lands are not really important, I think they helped in some rare occasions but nothing to write home about - honestly when I made the first version of the deck I think it was just about not spending wildcards. The anchorages however, have been very useful. Can't really say for sure, would need to test.
Draw your counters and you should be good. There will be games of course where they have a turn 3/4 valgavoth and you don't have any of your 8 counter spells or sunfalls but that's just luck. You may also reduce 1 or 2 lockdowns for split ups and/or the 3rd sunfall if you want but that will weaken the matchup against red aggro. If you aren't facing as much red aggro I would recommend doing so.
Too situational. Quite often it can be a dead card, and that goes against my general philosophy of building control decks. Not on my watch is similar but at least it hits all sized creatures. I prefer the maw, even though it can be card disadvantage its more versatile and playing it at the right time can give you a lot of tempo. I can bounce leyline, sheltered by ghosts, forge, prevent sellsword shenanigans ... the possibilities are so many.
It might be a unfun way to play magic but it's a legitimate way of playing it. At least you must know what to do. On the other hand.. a monkey could reach mythic rank using mono red
@@c1406 No, bro. Control is just extremely embarrassing and disgusting. Control players don't take anything from mono red players. Your argument doesn't make sense, because mono red is also a legitimate way to play magic. How often do I meet control players in standard and of course have no chance, because these people just destroy everything that comes. Every victory only by surrendering the opponent. This is not magic. Planeswalkers are already a shame for the game but control is even more disgusting. You have no chance. Mono red, on the other hand, I can defeat.
There is actually an archetype that beats control handily - that is decks that focus on value, recursion, and tempo and then control has to adjust accordingly and it becomes a cat and mouse game. The thing is those decks are not viable currently because they just get overrun by red aggro and so they have to run a ridiculous amount of early interaction which are dead cards against control. While control has a special place in my heart, I actually don't dislike mono-red and enjoy playing it from time to time. The current versions are just bad for the meta. Also, you shouldn't limit yourself to being an "x" or "y" player. All the different archetypes are fun to play as long as the meta is healthy.

Doooood, targeting the ghost was slick!
Thanks for the update, subscribed since you're my new fav UW mage. I based my UW deck after yours in blb and it got me to mythic easily
Good gameplay, just subscribed,i would like to see you play blue-black, thanks

Lets goo I thought azorius control was kinda dead but yay
Subscribed. Like Malone, remember us when you reach fame 😊
I'm running something VERY similar and it's great.
Been testing brews but, they don't work. Gonna go back to this.
Thank you for the content! Love the high level gameplay

If you thought they were going to rope you after winning twice, imagine after that dirty play you pulled on them the third time!

Depends on the list. There are definitely some cool Jeskai builds out there.

Just crafted it, I like it, thanks. :)

What i needed! Crafting as i write...by the way how does this perform against reanimator decks?

@@DuelsRage thanks a lot
cheers
That was a fun watch. Sub’d
Thank you for this. Im so sick of this meta. I just need wildcards now lol
lol 6:50 you said that's how you beat mono red. I wish, brother.
the apology to ash is so real lol
this deck is somthing that want me to rage quit
:D
What’s the reasoning behind no Elspeth’s smites? Seems like a very solid card into aggro right now

Late comment but, with boros auras, elspeth smite lost its value since it can be dodge even without the protection cantrip
Why no bo3?
hi dude for mi personal opinion this decks isa good but you are missing some cards wil be better deck. :)
well i dont know. I pilot mono blue and crush this deck 9/10 times I face it in ladder
Love it lmao
no new cards😮
crab?
Wtf is this deck win condition? Are they not realizing that this os just stall?
Control is so Awkward. I’m sorry, but this isn’t magic.
What?
Everyone knows that interaction = fake magic.
