The USP was introduced in 1993 not 1990. I misspoke in the video. Stage fright? Anyway, thanks for watching.

Glocks in .40s&w eventually blow up, it's just a matter of time. They're not nearly as durable as the USP, don't have the recoil compensation and are not as accurate. Spend the money, get the USP and never look back.

I like the 40sw. Maybe because of the age I was when it was being developed and released or maybe because my first real handgun was in that caliber. It's better now than it's ever been and the USP is still king of the 40 pistols. Thanks for being here and sharing your opinion.

@573reviews I got my USPv1 new, I forget which year (will have to check the date code, '94'ish), and have found its equal. If you want to improve its performance, you can snip about 1 1/4 coils from the hammer spring. Start with 1 coil, reassemble, test and decide how much you want to soften your trigger. Too much can lead to failures to pop primers, but just a turn and some change will lighten and smooth the trigger sihnificantly, allowing for improved accuracy.
Added the threaded barrel and meprolite tactical night sights, and with 135gr +p+ or 165gr subsonic, she's my hell and back piece. She will long outlast me, and that is why I bought her. Most naysayers cannot grasp the fact that you get MORE than what you pay for with that piece.

@N0B0DY_SP3C14L i plan on using mine for alternative deer season in December. I'll be using a 200gr projectile at 1050fps. My shots will be no further than 50yds. I am absolutely going to have my gunsmith snip that spring (thanks for the information). The double action trigger pull is my only complaint and easily overlooked for all the positive attributes of this pistol. It's good to see I'm not the only person that has been a fan of 40sw when it wasn't cool, then really cool, and now not cool again. 😎
