As long as FDX's DOT number is on the side of the truck and the only trailers you're pulling is FDX trailers it controls everything and there's no point in trying to deny it. It's a company that goes on it's merry old way doing whatever they damn well please. And it's common knowledge that it's by no means a top paying carrier as evidenced by the importance of the nickel and dime savings you emphasize.

Fedex sucks talk about detention time and some contractors won't pay detention and if they do will be less than minimum wage
