As I said in the deck tech: you can definitely do that, but you need to reword the mana base, as the current mana cannot support a WW card. Probably cut 2 Factories and play one extra Plains and a Treva's Ruins or something like that.
@@fpawluszmtg Ah yes I have seen it. MOS league said May 12th on TC Decks but you had posted it three weeks ago so I thought it was a different league. Cool. Congrats! Keep up the good work.
Wow, you face 3 of the 5 burn decks in the event. On 11:30, why you don't tap vein?? Missplay or there's something i don't see? Why do you side Call of the Herd against GAT? i always side against aggro or control but never thought is good against GAT. I realize of not sacrifying the seal in the moment i played replenish. Great video as always.
Thanks Pablo! I heard Lanny say multiple times that Call is great against GAT because it blanks the Meddling Mage plan and forces them to use counters/removal or die to random beats. The way the answer it is through Dryad, which they need to have and grow quickly, which can be hard to do through a Sphere/Plow. I have liked the card quite a bit in the matchup, and this version of the deck is much, much better than RG in the matchup.
I don't think it's mandatory, since it only really does anything when your opponent has assembled the combo, and even still you'll be facing 20-ish power which will kill you anyway (as it happened here). It's a "value over replacement" kind of card, and I think out of this specific list the 60th card is worth more than Totem. But I have happily played it in UW Midrange decks with Exalted Angel and it has been pretty good!
Hello, I play oathclysm. I never thought about sideboarding out the library against burn, I think is still good for searching answers even though you are not paying any mana. I m also thinking about mono words of warship in side to combo with library. But you won all 3 games so now I am doubting my idea. What is your opinion and thoughts about that? Thanks
It all depends on which cards you're cutting and bringing in. In the OathClysm list you also want to cut Cataclysms, which are even worse than Library, and if you don't have enough good cards to bring in then it's perfectly fine to keep some number of Libraries. Library takes time to be worth the initial investment you make on it, and if instead of it I'm bringing in efficient answers and cards then I'd much rather be on that second situation. Regarding Words it only works unless you either A) already have a Library in play or B) you already have locked up the board so your opponent cannot outpace the "gain 5 life a turn" thing. On top of that they also need to not have Vortex. That's a lot of "ifs" for my taste...
@@fpawluszmtg I'm suspicious about match 3 opponent at the very least given they flipped 33 cards in g2 without a single Overload when you want to bring in 4. It's possible, though.
@@fpawluszmtg as you mentioned the weakness against goblins or really any go wide strategy. If you splash blue instead of white then you can play mana breach which slows down your opponents and lets you bounce the Chasm to open attacks on your end before playing the Chasm again in the second main. Just an idea I have been tinkering with to create time against aggressive or burn decks.
@@ericmoses9066 If the idea was to splash a color then the better way is to simply splash red for Pyroclasm, which is what I did in my very first version of this deck (which is arguably better than this, btw). Chasm is not good against those decks because your opponent can simply wait until you can't pay enough life and kill you in a single attack on that turn, and Goblins even plays Wasteland. I knew that this deck was taking a hit against Goblins and Elves, it was a conscious decision, I just valued higher being better in the mirror and against Dreadnought and decks like that.
@@ericmoses9066 The problem is that the issue is once the opponents have gone wide enough they can play both offense and defense pretty well, meaning that denying them a combat step or two means they can still kill you later on. I think if I wanted to beat go wide decks I'd simply play the RG version instead.
I don't like Web in Replenish because it helps the Oath matchup, but because it helps the Control matchup, which can be pretty problematic for Replenish.

Thank you very much for the video. I really like the idea of peta lands with white. I would carry no less than 2 Cataclysm as a sideboard. (MrWolf2)

Great video/ Rough tie breakers man. Tripped me out a bit having 3 sligh matches in a row.
I think I may have played against literally every single Sligh player in the event in back to back matches, hahaha

Always time to nap after the video is over! 😆

Why not take C. Totem against Burn, deck uses Mogg and Lavaman.
Cause those cards still deal damage, Totem is not impactful enough. I'd rather have other cards in my deck instead.
@@fpawluszmtg makes sense. But with totem in play the opponent cant easily blank Oath
@@RegisJim I'd probably be siding out Oath against them anyway, since it's very tough to have it do anything if your opp doesn't cooperate.

I understand the White splash, but I like the red with 2 Earthquake main and 2 pyroclasm 1/2 powder kegs side.
More flexible in my opinion.
