Correction: Dropping to avoid overlapping is 110m and for double drops I drop again at 65m from the last claim. Sorry for the confusion I was confusing the two.

Reduction in hunting loot is because part of the returns is the decay that has happened in the area or against that mob planet wide. Sad for the small spawn size of mobs planet wide

I wonder where you found that 65m between drops? If you check miner information, it's ~55m radius (not diameter), so if you really don't want to overlap, it's 110m between drops.
I may have misspoken I go 65 on double drops because I am purposely trying to overlap to see if the miner has missed anything. However usually mining the radius or the diameter can be acceptable regardless. But I just remembered that on the double drop I try and overlap sorry I’ve been doing the same thing for so long I even fully forget why lol sorry about that. But you are correct 110m between drops is correct. My bad. Uploading an update on this.

If you wanna find out the stuff needed go to where the event quest giver is and get the quests. Also everyone is at new treasure Island you can find alot of the resources elsewhere
Got the quest. I am aware everyone's at NTI but there's most likely a reason for it. If NTI keeps paying like it did in this video there won't be much of a reason to go else where except to get dark lyst possibly. Almost every resource for the event is found at NTI.
But I do not doubt that as the event progresses NTI won’t yield as well from the competition
