It would be cool to see a video with your top 5 favorite and 5 least favorite Tom Ford fragrances. Or a buying guide style video of which Tom Ford fragrance is best suited for different occasions and seasons
Bois Marocain is an all time favorite for me. Tried Bois Pacifique today and took home a 3.4 bottle (thnx Nordstrom). On first impression it has similarities to BM and it has better lasting power (4+ hours and still very present). The dry down is excellent; woody as noted, mild spice and smoke, and a dry cardamom opens up. Definitely a warm cedar scent, like an empty cigar box. I get the Pac NW/ Big Sur mountain forest vibe; that impression is spot on. It’ll rotate for me with Oud Minerale, which I love for the nostalgia of Pac NW rocky ocean shores. I’m also not blown away by it but extremely satisfied. Balanced. Daily wearer for me. For more of a mind blowing scent, Black Lacquer did it for me. So different and nostalgic of record stores, guitar shops, and penning a letter with fountain pen ink. Exquisite.
Thank you for the review. Also, thank you for continuing to review and do an admirable job throughtout the year. You were the first, and only even now, to do a review with the actual product. Your opinion and voice not only matter but help people as they search for new items. While this type of scent does not necessarily resonate with me at this stage in my life, I still grab most TF's as I am a TF collector. Keep up the excellent work. Happy Christmas! Cheers! 🎉🎉🎉😊
Omg, I just picked this one up. I also have Costa Azzura Parfum, and this is a happy medium between very bright and very dark. It’s right in the middle that will be best for any weather. This I’d definitely elegant and upscale. Like a Foreman of a wood logging crew. He’s around forest areas, but he’s not the one breaking a sweat because he’s the boss. I really like this a lot.
That is not the "real" color of the juice. They used tones of colorants to make it look like this. Just look at the INCI of your Packaging. Violet 2 (ci 60730), Red 4 (ci 14700), Yellow 5 (ci 19140) were used to make it look like this. Otherwise it would have been a pale looking juice. Don't get fooled by "how pretty the juice is looking". It is all artificial.
You're absolutely correct about the house of Tom Ford fragrance line. (I also have many in my collection of fragrances). Is it the line my favorite? Absolutely, and has been since the beginning in 2006 when a world famous designer brought 'Black Orchid EDP' to market. That said, not all of his creations to me are perfect. (Yes, with his sale to Estee Lauder, changes to the marketing and fragrance line-up were eminent). Case in point, I absolutely love Bois Pacifique. Yet the new Black Lacquer is so far off my radar, that honestly, I did not like it. Recently subscribed to your channel Eau D' Erica.
The word is pacifique not Pacific. It means peaceful in French obviously, the word pacific comes from the same route, but that's why it's not an oceanic fragrance. It's not based on the English version of the word, but rather the French version of the word.
The new Signature line from Tom Ford is a burlesque of what it used to be. Since Tom sold the company to Estee Lauder the brand has been struggling. Tom Ford has been notorious for discontinuation, especially among the Private Blend line. Prices keep rising, and there's less offered to the consumer. Id have to smell this, but havent been excited in some time.
Financially they have been doing great. F'ing fabolous is a best seller and so is Lost Cherry. On the more artistic side i like Black Lacquer and Ebenne Fume Plus i like that they have been adding fragrances to the signature line.
I feel like pointed scent strips are meant to be held by the pointed end. Wouldn't you want to smell from more surface area?😆 I realize I could be wrong
pointed scent strips are made for testing the perfume directly from a large mixing glass as perfumers use. The reason: The pointed end has less resistance when you swirl the strip in the glas before you take the strip out and smell it.
I've heard you want to apply fragrance onto and smell the smaller end, so as not to overpower your nose when smelling up close. less surface area means the scent is less abrasive and in your face (making you go possibly anosmic).
I don't hate Tom Ford, they're fragrance don't really impress as much, but that one is something I would try. I would like to see an updated video on it.
Erica, I'm a little nervous when it comes to Tom Ford. I find them to be pricey and a little to feminine leaning for my nose. Would love to see you do a video on the more masculine Tom Ford scents
It's not a good scent..smells like turmeric and a little woody. Miles apart from something like beau de jour in the similar bottle (and I'm a tom ford fan)

You are contradicting your own statements. Pls be clear

I feel like its Ebene Fume for daily wear vs special occasions. I’m spending time with a sample to decide.
Appreciate the impressions Erica. 🧡

I do believe it’s pronounced Pah-Sif-eek 😊
Amazing review, thanks !
Sounds like a good fall/winter fragrance

This sounds more interesting than what the name gave off 🤔 i definitely wanna get my nose on this
I want to swim a River of Perfumes with you, erica...❤❤❤❤
They have to move Neroli Portofino to Signature Line ... and Black orchid to Prive Line !!!
The name is Italian for Pacific Wood, so mostly woody I guess?
Italian? I'm pretty sure it's french.
From an Italian, definitely not Italian. Definitely French 😁
To Ford just a name. Konglomerat Este Lauder smells good ! Patetic

I don’t think ANYONE really knows the proper way and we are all winging it 🤣
@@eauderica Like San Diego. No one is really sure what it means. Knowledge lost to the ages. 🤷🏻♂️

Everyone saying this is good fragrance & everyone is recommending this

From the thumbnail, it looks like you didn’t like it
That is the smirk of hmmm i feel the challenge in this man look. But lets see what she says in the video 😁
Hot take of the day
Maybe I was little bit right xd
@Abdellah.AB1 yes you wher :D
😂😂😂
The way that u talk baby ,it's seems u don't like it that much. ❤❤❤❤
Tom Ford has IMHO 6 Bangers and the rest are overpriced or have low projection/longevity.
The hell are you talking about 😂
It’s trash.
Now it’s clear for me … She clearly has no taste, watching her is such a waste of time
U got no Taste
She does the best notes analysis in the community. Close your mouth
She only can read the notes and everything is unique and special and awesome and bla bla bla
I am sure she would find listening to you rather inspiring
