Well it is in my channel list in Chicago, but I would always briefly scan over it and had nothing I really cared for to sit and watch for half hour to and hour. All I know is it says TWIST up in the upper right hand corner.
It is like several other channels that really are boring or duplicates.

I've been crossing my fingers for a cartoon/animation-focused subchannel ever since Qubo shut down in early 2021. The only regularly scheduled animation on OTA TV is aimed either towards elementary school children on PBS or 18+ adult audiences on Fox. There's an entire untapped market of 10-17 year olds with no option for animated content without cable or streaming.

Antenna TV is awesome, but the animation representation is lackluster. If you want cartoons, your only options are FOX's Sunday Night lineup with adult animated shows, MeTV Weekend Mornings where they have classic cartoons, and PBS Kids with preschool cartoons. Looking at my lineup now, the Boston sub channel 66-5, that Twist was on, has disappeared. But 66-1, 2, 3 & 4 are all still there. I honestly don’t know how long it’s been gone, because, as I said, I never watched it.
As long as they don’t mess with my MeTV or Catchy Comedy, I’m happy. I am a little worried about Catchy Comedy, because there have been a lot of complaints about the rebranding from Decades. But the programming hasn’t changed that drastically, and I still enjoy it.

I'm not even sure why this channel even existed at all as all it did was waste bandwidth on programming that BARELY cut the mustard at the network level (And the original stuff they had likely wouldn't make the cut at The CW (Let alone CBS))
So am I going to cry over this channel going away??

I'm seeing a few changes in my market (South Bend Indiana.) Our local My Network TV channel is now broadcasting Chicago's The U which WCIU's subchannel owned by Weigal. Circle is shutting down and being replaced with The365. Dabl is changing format from a lifestyle channel to African American content in a couple of days. In all 3 cases they are channels that are either rebranding or just replaced altogether. The one channel that's already changed is My Network TV to the U. I wonder how many other channels we'll see change format or altogether after the beginning of the new year.

There are several OTA stations that could shut down IMO. Not as many as the HUGE wasteland of channels on cable. We’ve also have OTA stations running just test patterns and some went bankrupt or sold out to the big companies where they now remain dark. The real issue is that we don’t have as much affordable, quality programming as we have available channels. Many have a low viewer interest. Just remember, when advertisers spend money on advertising, it’s added to the cost of their products. We probably don’t need them advertising on stations with low public interest.

    • @Stache987

Tup,!! Stopping advertising isn't helping anyone but CEOs. Personally I visit a store comparing prices to another I could be visiting that day, that $10 gas to get to the closest store means something to me. I don't buy overpriced items, my cars are all over 15 years old and the ones I couldn't buy because I was too young to work, are made better and still roadworthy

If its an English language station subservient to a Spanish station I can see why its viewership might be a problem. I'll have to give it a look and wish it farewell.
