1 John 1:7-9. 1 John 5:13. Romans 8:31-39. These three passages of scripture are some of the most encouraging I've found. I understand that all I need to do is not give up. Not walk away from God. Once I've been baptized into Christ, as long as I continue walking in the light, His Blood continues to cleanse me. It's not up to me to "maintain" my salvation. God will cover the rest. Once a person truly and fully comprehends this massive point of truth, obedience is a given and not a chore at all....thanks guys!
Takes a lot of humility to stay in the light when we sin. My first instinct is guilt & shame & timidness, approaching the light like a dog with his tail between his legs. I’m not sure this is biblical, but I’m afraid if I do not approach him in this way I will become callous & hardened by my sin. What do you think is the correct way to approach him when confessing sins? With boldness & confidence or sorrow & shame?
@@BingoNamo-gb8pz A good amount of both? Repentance contains some level of shame. If I'm not ashamed of my falling short, then can I truly be repentant? The confidence can come because God has shown his goodness and mercy in so many ways. Romans 5:6-8 comes to mind as well as the demonstration in Genesis 15:17
@@jeremymcatee6293 I just want to make sure this is not a “false humility.” In Hebrews 10:35-39 it says: “35Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: 37“For yet a little while, And He[l] who is coming will come and will not [m]tarry. 38Now the[n] just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” 39But we are not of those who draw back to [o]perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.” Does this mean we confess our sins with confidence or not at all? Or is this talking about the day we die & stand before God?
Can a real Christian EVER BE ,UN. BORN AGAIN ? THINK about it ,Or Put on probation By Jesus Christ or EVER Be ,,UN ,,redeemed By Jesus Christ who REDEEMED YOU IN THE1ST PLACE OSAS IS 1TRILLION PERCENT BIBICLE
Read John 17:3 , eternal life is NOT all about getting to heaven instead it's actually and primarily about ginosko--- greek word for intimate fellowship in this context., and in fact entering heaven is just A BONUS of it . Fellowship w/God is based on COVENANT that's why the bible is called Old and New COVENANT , u cant make a covenant based on the will of one party only it requires TWO PARTIES (God and man) . Jesus himself said marriage covenant could be broken if one party committed adultery which also applies to spiritual covenant . In real life a married couple might have quarrels arguments and feuds with both sides making mistakes however if one committed adultery trampling on the covenant then divorce would b permissible . Just almost the same with spiritual covenant we all have weaknesses and may fall to sin but if sow continually in the flesh to dissociate ourselves from fellowshipping w/ God then certainly we would reap what we sow that is DISSOCIATION or BROKEN FELLOWSHIP with God and according to John 17:3 it means NO FELLOWSHIP = NO ETERNAL LIFE. NO proper fairminded arminian believe in EASILY loosing salvation , that's just a plain unjust bias accusation from calvinist . Most of us arminians believe U WILL REAP WHAT U SOW Here's a TIP : Sow SINCERE LOVE toward God, please dont live holy because AFRAID OF HELL that's actually a form of INSINCERITY , instead we should live holy because He has poured out His Blood to us that's the basis of my ARMINIAN faith.
@@geertjekneefel5252 Jesus NEVER said the marriage Covenant can be Broken if one of the couple commits adultery. That is a blatant Lie. I suggest reading the Bible. Romans 7:1-3, 1 Corinthians 7:39 and Mark 10:2-12 all state that ONLY DEATH breaks the marriage Covenant. Nothing else. Please unlearn the lies and study this subject in depth. Pastor Joseph Webb of Christian Principles Restored here on UA-cam teaches best and most completely on this subject. Look into it.
HE is eternal life, so you need Him to have it. You don't have it apart from Christ, and you can be severed from Christ. He is the wellspring of living water that wells up to eternal life. Without Him, you had the source of eternal life but no longer.
Yes if Saved can be unsaved then the word saved loses its definition. Lot was always disobedient but still saved Blessed is he who is without sin......Why does it say God imputeth righteoisness without works? Faith covers sins. Here we have a contrast between Faith and obedience/works Rom 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Rom 4:6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Rom 4:7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
Good show always seeking the truth. In the gospel of salvation Romans 7:1-4, Paul writes a parable in Jewish Hermeneutics to symbolise the oath of a believer in baptism. It is the veracity of the promise of the unbeliever in baptism not to sin, that decides OSAS as a believer, the oath is to access the tree of life by past sins being forgiven. I have a Ytube video series 'Myths in so-called Christianity', and cover these matters in #18 pt 2 and #23.
Christ, St Paul, and St John teach that we can lose our salvation by not persevering to the end. We must believe and love to the end. If we sin seriously (eg: murder) and do not repent we will lose our salvation. 2. Paul also taught that our faith must be accompanied by good works. We must believe, and we must love, in our response to the free gift of Grace. He condemns the Works of the Old Jewish Law in Romans, but both he and Christ say good works of the New Law are essential and that we will be judged by them. All this is not the Protestant heresy of Once Saved Always Saved, and it is not the Protestant heresy of Faith Alone: 1. We will lose our salvation if we do not persevere: “He who PERSEVERES unto the end will be saved.” (Matthew 10:22) St John writes, Let what you heard from the beginning ABIDE in you. If what you heard from the beginning ABIDE in you, then you will ABIDE in the Son and in the Father. And this is what he has promised us, eternal life (emphasis added).(1 John 2:24) 1. Cor. 10:12- “Therefore, let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed LEST HE FALL” In 1 Corinthians 1:18, St. Paul writes, “For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are BEING saved-” notice that’s a present participle there, “being saved,” which indicates it’s a present state of salvation, an ongoing process. 1 Corinthians 4:3-4, where St. Paul himself says, “But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by any human court; I do not even judge myself.” St. Paul is saying, “I’m not aware of any sort of sins that would take me away from God and destroy God’s life in my soul,” but he says, “I don’t even judge myself.” 1 Corinthians 9:26-27, St. Paul says "Well, I do not run aimlessly, I do not box as one beating the air; but I pommel my body and subdue it, lest after preaching to others I myself should be DISQUALIFIED.“ 2. Good works of the New Law “‘Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord,” shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven’” (Matt. 7:21). “For he will render every man according to his works . . .” (Rom. 2:6-8). “For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified” (Rom. 2:13).
@@theodoreritola7641 I did not say Christ "unredeems". I said believers make their own choices and must persevere to the end. Show me in scripture where it teaches God saves us against our will. Chapter and verse.
Once Saved, Always Saved? Salvation is more than forgiveness of sin. Salvation so changes a person that he can never be the same again. The spirit of a saved person is now a New Creature and will never be the same again. 2 Cor. 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, ALL things are become new.” Saved are Dead to Sin and can no longer live in it. (The saved can commit sin, but can no longer live in sin, there is a difference). Rom 6:2 “God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, LIVE any longer therein?” He is saying it is not possible. Just like a person that is dead, he no longer lives here. The saved spirit now hates sin. Rom 7:15 “For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; BUT WHAT I HATE, that do I.” Though he now hates sin it is still present with him in his body (old man). Rom 7:20 “Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.” Eze 36:26-27 “A NEW HEART also will I give you, and A NEW SPIRIT will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put MY SPIRIT within you, AND CAUSE YOU TO WALK IN MY STATUTES, AND YE SHALL KEEP MY JUDGMENTS, AND DO THEM.” The saved will never be dominated by sin again. Rom 6:14 “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” Now when he sins God will chasten him, but not damn him. Heb 12:7 “If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?” This could not be done under the law, but only under grace. Being under the law always only brings death. 1 Cor 11:32 “But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should NOT BE CONDEMNED WITH THE WORLD.” God will even chasten a saved person unto death if necessary. 1 Cor. 11:30 “For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.” (Sleep for the saved is death of the body, but not the spirit or soul.) It is the spirit of the saved that is born again. It will never sin again. Titus 3:5 “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;” See born again in John 3:3. 1 Jn 3:9 “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and HE CANNOT SIN, BECAUSE HE IS BORN OF GOD.” 1 Jn 5:18 “We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.” It is the spirit that will never sin again. The saved now belongs to Christ 1 Cor 6:19 “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and YE ARE NOT YOUR OWN?” The saved person belongs to Christ now and he will never lose him. John 18:9 “That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none.” (Judas was not saved and then became lost, he was never saved in the first place). Christ is in the process of conforming the soul of the saved into the image of Christ. The spirit is saved by the new birth, the soul is being conformed to the image of Christ (in this present life), someday the saved will be given a new body, the old body cannot be saved. The source of all sin for the saved is his old body (old man, Eph. 4:22), but not from his spirit, when the old body is gone the saved will be completely delivered from sin. The saved always follow Christ. John 10:3-4 “To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and THE SHEEP FOLLOW HIM: FOR THEY KNOW HIS VOICE. 5 AND A STRANGER WILL THEY NOT FOLLOW, BUT WILL FLEE FROM HIM: FOR THEY KNOW NOT THE VOICE OF STRANGERS.” John 10:27 “MY SHEEP HEAR MY VOICE, and I know them, AND THEY FOLLOW ME:” If a person fails to continue following Christ it proves he was never saved. 1 Jn 2:19 “They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.” 1 Jn 3:10 “In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.” Jesus explains in Mt. 13 (parable of the sower) why some begin but fail to continue. (They weren’t saved and then became lost again). Salvation changes a person and removes him from under the law and places him under grace so God can now correct rather than condemn. The spirit of the saved now hates sin and will never submit to it again. Sin is still in his old unsaved body and he will have to deal with it until it dies. Scripture has much more than this to show “Once Saved, Always Saved”. If staying saved is dependent upon you, you won’t make it. You have placed yourself back under the law. You will have to be perfectly without sin for the rest of your life. The law requires it. Saved persons follow Christ because they have a new heart and a new spirit. Not in order to remain saved, but because they now have a heart and spirit to follow Christ. This is the effect of genuine salvation. Do you really understand salvation?
Aaron, when you were discussing Galatians, I thought you might mention Paul's accusation in Galatians 2:11 "But when Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because HE STOOD CONDEMNED." At this point Peter had done many righteous things (works) for the cause of Christ and the gospel, if he would have walked away from this situation without repentance and never preached another sermon or taught another person, would he have been saved?
Nobody in the early church from the outset of Christianity believes in once saved always saved. It didn't catch on until Calvinism ~1500 years later. That should tell you everything you need to know, but then all the verses are pretty thoroughly expounded in their context against OSAS and all the prooftexts FOR OSAS are singular nitpicked verses out of context. The only reason it survived in anyone's mind is a short attention span.
Great point. Also on related issues, no one in the early church believed in (or practiced) divorce and remarriage, or "faith alone" for salvation (that repentance and Baptism aren't necessary) ; Two other heretical, false doctrines widely accepted today by most "so called Christians".
@@JacobFrederick23 Amen. Even most COC congregations get it wrong sadly. There are a few who get it right, understanding that Matthew 19:9 is explained by Matthew 1:18-25 and refers to the Jewish betrothal period BEFORE MARRIAGE. Thus putting the passage in Harmony with Mark 10:2-12, Luke 16:18, Romans 7:1-3, and 1 Corinthians 7:10-11; and 7:39. As opposed to being an " outlier exception verse" which most false teachers teach. Another thing is the use of the many modern false translations of the Bible that change the word Fornication in Matthew 19:9(which is defined in the Greek as sexual behavior by SINGLE UNMARRIED PEOPLE) to many incorrect words such as sexual immorality, marital unfaithfulness, sexual deviance, etc. The ASV, KJV, and earlier translations are the ones who are correct on that.
So you're referring to people who adamantly walk away from God. I really love this podcast. I've always heard the term once saved always saved and struggled with it! I think the people that have said it to me have been referring to people who just struggled hard but still loved God and tried hard. I think we have a hard time separating addicts who are doing their best and people who walk away from Jesus. It's not the same.
There are people who try and fail and people who give up trying or just stop taking things seriously. To try and fail is human and that's not a lack of faith in and of itself.
All throughout scripture from Gen to Rev, it's always been about obedience by faith. Jn 3 16 For Elohim so loved the world that He gave His only brought-forth Son, so that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but possess everlasting life. Jn 3 36 He who believes in the Son possesses everlasting life, but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of Elohim remains on him. No lip service, that's what separates the wheat and tares, sheep and goats. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall by no means enter into the reign of the heavens. The only way to get into the kingdom is by obedience through faith. Heb 5 8 Though being a Son, He learned obedience by what He suffered. 9 And having been perfected, He became the Causer of everlasting deliverance to all those obeying Him. Jas 2 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so also the belief is dead without the works. Rom 2 13 For not the hearers of the Torah are righteous in the sight of Elohim, but the doers of the Torah shall be declared right. Jas 2 12 So speak and so do as those who are to be judged by a Torah of freedom Jas 1 25 But he that looked into the perfect Torah, that of freedom, and continues in it, not becoming a hearer that forgets, but a doer of work, this one shall be blessed in his doing of the Torah. 34 Yeshua answered them, Truly, Truly, I say to you, everyone doing sin is a servant of sin. Shalom
What do you say about the passage where Paul speaks to the heart being sprinkled by the blood of Jesus, when you become a child of God? That or hearts are made righteous?
The sprinkling of blood was always understood as being cleansed for Holy purposes, a consecration for the covenant so that whatever was sprinkled could be used for God's purposes. Every Jew knowing that background still knows that the Holy things can be made unHoly or unclean. Just because something was sprinkled once doesn't mean it stays clean forever. We have the ability to walk away from faith and so the covenant and atonement of Christ no longer remains since there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins (Hebrews 10). We must continue to come before Christ and receive the renewal that He offers by His one sacrifice for all time and not stray away from Him as its source.
Once you're truly saved, doesn't the Bible teach you're a new creature and the "old things" are passed away? How can you then revert back to the old creature and your old things? Was the Bible wrong? Were the old things truly passed away or just put on the back burner?
If you are drowning and given a lifeboat you will be saved: if you refuse or jump out of the lifeboat you were given you will be back to drowning. That simple. The race must be run to the end. Everyone stumbles and falls but a righteous man gets back up and finishes the race; the wicked fall by calamity and stay down in their ruin..
Which CoC were you going to? Sounds nothing like mine. Grace is huge in CoC. So is the 2 way street relationship between us and Christ as a faithful spouse. If you understand marriage to be 2 people just cheating on each other whenever they like and everything is still fine - well, that's more akin to the once saved always saved position rather than the 2 way street relationship Christ talks about!
Good stuff! I just can’t understand why all the churches are going away from the KJV 🤷🏻♂️. You mention the first 1500 years OSAS was not taught but you use modern day perversions of the Bible. 🤷🏻♂️🤦♂️
The Church of Christ is preaching a false gospel. God is SOVEREIGN, He is the one who saves us Romans 8:28-33. You just called God a liar... John 10:1-18...Jesus is asserting His deity, He is addressing the Pharisees and telling them that they are leading His sheep astray. He is the Good Shepherd and His sheep hear His voice...He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who is not the OWNER of the sheep, Jesus Christ owns His sheep and He lays down His life for His sheep, He does not just let us go. Ephesians 2:8-9...For by Grace you are saved through FAITH (Greek PISTIS) which means belief, trust, confidence...and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works (Greek Ergon) which means work, task, a deed, action...so that not anyone may boast. This is a horrifyingly false gospel, either from ignorance or, like the Pharisees, you are blind to the truth. John 6:44...in Greek...No one is ABLE (DYNTATAI) which means to be able to, to have power, to come to Me, if not the Father, the One having sent Me, DRAWS (HELKYSE) which means drag, draw, pull...him, and I will raise him up in the last day. John 1:12-13...As many as however received Him, HE gave to them authority children of God to be, for those believing in the name of HIM, who not of blood, nor of the WILL (THELEMOTOS) which means an act of will, wishes, desires...of flesh, nor of the WILL OF MAN, but of GOD were born. YOU HAVE NO FREE WILL SAY IN SALVATION. Proverbs 16:8...Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a FALL ( HEBREW- KIS-SA-LO-WN) which means a stumbling.
what happened to the angels that sinned ( 2 Peter 2:4 ) was the devil in heaven ( Rev. 12:9 ) the apostle Judas who was baptized by the Holy Spirit, did he fall ( greek pipto) from grace? and yes he was saved prior to his selling his soul for 30 pieces of silver, if an obedient follower of Christ CHOOSES to walk away and turn back to the world, he will lose his salvation. Paul wrote in 1 Cor. as stated in the lesson 3000( pipto) fell not stumble and skin their knee, but the verb to fall away. If a saint can do whatever the devil attracts him to, why then do we go to worship? Oh just say the sinners prayer and "confess" Jesus and you are good... the devils believe in God AND TREMBLE, hmmm are the devils saved? We can not be "plucked" out of God's hand. Your Eph. quote taken out of context, read verse 10....we were created for goods works that God prepared before hand THAT WE SHOULD WALK IN THEM.
Stop twisting/ adding word's to God's word!!!! Acts 17:30 dose not say to repent of sinns.... Acts 30:17 say to repent... But you added the word sin in to make it sound like it.... In fact the scripture is telling people to repent not of sinns but to repent and believe who Jesus Christ is.... Just another Church of Christ taking a scripture and twisting the meaning of it. The Church of Christ is a work's based Salvation gospel... I knew when I went and talked to a minister at a Church of Christ church, that the Holy Spirit inside me was just telling me to get out... There water baptizing to be Saved is another work based Salvation gospel... Wake up before it's to late and Believe in Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone today for Salvation. 🙏🙏❤❤🙏
the demons believe , in fact in Matt 5, Legion ran toward Jesus and fail down and worship him, so you believe he was saved? We are saved by faith, an obedient faith, not a dead faith James 2 and we are saved by faith when we are baptized into Christ, Gal 3:26-27. Col 2:12 says we are buried with him in baptism and raised up through FAITH IN THE WORKING OF GOD". Jesus said " he that believes and is baptized shall be saved" and in Luke 24:47 Jesus says that remission of sins to be preached in his name would begin in Jerusalem" and this happens in Acts 2 where Peter preaches the first gospel sermon. In v37 they asked "what must we do" and Peter says, " Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins...". So, here it plainly shows repentance and baptism are for the forgiveness of sins. Lastly, in Romans 6;6-7 talking about baptism, it says "our old man of sin has been crucified with Jesus.....you who have died with Christ are freed from sin". I believe you are the one doing the twisting...
Sola scriptura is heresy too. It's like you have no historical knowledge of the early Church. Are you familiar with the ecumenical councils that already addressed this?
Works based salvation condemned in Romans is the idea that we can (as some of the Jews were saying at the time) obey God's rules close enough that he owes us salvation. Having come out of Calvinism, I like to use an example out of Luke 17. Jesus tells a parable that ends in vs 10. "So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.’ ” It is not that our obedience doesn't matter. It is that we can't obey well enough to exceed the cost of our purchase. We are unprofitable if we do everything we are commanded because our labor for God will never outweigh the price that he paid to have us as servants. Even though we can't earn God a profit, that does not free us from the obligation of service as a servant. There is a clear difference between I'm so good that God owes me salvation (works-based salvation) and I was purchased at so high a price I can do nothing less than be as strictly obedient to God's commands as I am able to (work-demonstrated faith).
The church of Christ should over haul it's doctrines on water batptism and denominationalism, the church of Christ willl be judged for decieving christians and being an imposter claiming to the invisible universal church
which denomination do I have to be a member of to be saved? none, yet I have to be a member of the Lords church to be saved.....so that tells me denominations are not the Lords church. Simply accept what the bible says about baptism, read Acts 2:38, Romans 6, Col 2:11-12, Gal 3:26-27, 1Peter 3:21....nothing to overhaul
The water baptism beliefs are the same as what the church unanimously held for 1500 years from the very outset. Are all Christians for the first 1500 years going to be judged too? Only the more recent ones are correct and not being judged?
@@trebmaster we may differ on water baptism, that's not so fatai, but to claim that the church of Christ is the church and that everyone else is not in the church because of a a name and a few biblical practices is a lie that God will judge the church of Christ for. @@eliphasphiri4090 how many churches did Jesus build? why build one if you can believe what you want? The church is the bride of Christ, so what name should it wear? Baptist? Methodist? When I repented and was baptized, God added me to the saved/church, his church. I then found other believers who did the same and worship with them. You are trying to equate the Lord's Church to denominations, Paul deals with that in 1Cor 1
Members of the Lords Church, understand only being Baptized once for remission of sins and also falling away after obeying the Gospel.
@@jeremymcatee6293 I just want to make sure this is not a “false humility.” In Hebrews 10:35-39 it says:
“35Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:
37“For yet a little while,
And He[l] who is coming will come and will not [m]tarry.
38Now the[n] just shall live by faith;
But if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him.”
39But we are not of those who draw back to [o]perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.”
Does this mean we confess our sins with confidence or not at all? Or is this talking about the day we die & stand before God?
My 2 coworkers have been arguing and debating this topic for a month now (one’s a Baptist and other is Pentecostal) definitely gotta show them these

If salvation can be lost, why is it so often referred to as eternal life in the scriptures? If one has life that is eternal, it is without end.
Most of us arminians believe U WILL REAP WHAT U SOW
Here's a TIP : Sow SINCERE LOVE toward God, please dont live holy because AFRAID OF HELL that's actually a form of INSINCERITY , instead we should live holy because He has poured out His Blood to us that's the basis of my ARMINIAN faith.
They are too prideful. They think they're keeping themselves saved by trying to be obedient to the law🤦🏽♂️

Great teaching, brothers. Also, happy that someone else uses TLDR in daily life, lol.
If saved always saved, you must be born again, not again and again and again.
John 3:3
Romans 4:23-24
JESUS NEVER REDEEMED THEN UN REDEEMES

DOES Jesus Christ,,,, un ..redeem his own AFTER HE REDEEMS THEM ?
Once Saved, Always Saved?
Salvation is more than forgiveness of sin. Salvation so changes a person that he can never be the same again.
The spirit of a saved person is now a New Creature and will never be the same again.
2 Cor. 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, ALL things are become new.”
Saved are Dead to Sin and can no longer live in it.
Rom 7:20 “Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.”
Eze 36:26-27 “A NEW HEART also will I give you, and A NEW SPIRIT will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put MY SPIRIT within you, AND CAUSE YOU TO WALK IN MY STATUTES, AND YE SHALL KEEP MY JUDGMENTS, AND DO THEM.”
The saved will never be dominated by sin again.
Rom 6:14 “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”
Now when he sins God will chasten him, but not damn him. 1 Cor. 11:30 “For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.” (Sleep for the saved is death of the body, but not the spirit or soul.)
It is the spirit of the saved that is born again. It will never sin again.
Titus 3:5 “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;” See born again in John 3:3.
1 Jn 3:9 “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and HE CANNOT SIN, BECAUSE HE IS BORN OF GOD.”
1 Jn 5:18 “We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.” It is the spirit that will never sin again.
The saved now belongs to Christ
1 Cor 6:19 “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and YE ARE NOT YOUR OWN?”
The saved person belongs to Christ now and he will never lose him.
5 AND A STRANGER WILL THEY NOT FOLLOW, BUT WILL FLEE FROM HIM: FOR THEY KNOW NOT THE VOICE OF STRANGERS.”
John 10:27 “MY SHEEP HEAR MY VOICE, and I know them, AND THEY FOLLOW ME:”
If a person fails to continue following Christ it proves he was never saved. 1 Jn 2:19 “They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.”
1 Jn 3:10 “In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.”
Jesus explains in Mt.
Well if this belief is theologically sound ... than Judas is doing fine. Wake up Church!
Judus is lost he NEVER believed period .
Absolutely correct. Here we are over a thousand years later and still talking about the same heretical topics. Baffling
Great point. Also on related issues, no one in the early church believed in (or practiced) divorce and remarriage, or "faith alone" for salvation (that repentance and Baptism aren't necessary) ; Two other heretical, false doctrines widely accepted today by most "so called Christians".
@philarevolutionarywarriorp8295 Completely right. The divorce and remarriage topic is one that is so ignored or just taught incorrectly.
@@philarevolutionarywarriorp8295 You're right. So many get it wrong, including basically all of the churches that sponsor/fellowship GBN.
A person has to have a lot of help NOT to understand that. Just believe and do what Jesus says. I’m going with Jesus, NOT John Calvin. Go with Jesus.
Great discussion.
Jn 3
16 For Elohim so loved the world that He gave His only brought-forth Son, so that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but possess everlasting life.
Jn 3
36 He who believes in the Son possesses everlasting life, but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of Elohim remains on him.
No lip service, that's what separates the wheat and tares, sheep and goats.
For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall by no means enter into the reign of the heavens.
The only way to get into the kingdom is by obedience through faith.
Heb 5
8 Though being a Son, He learned obedience by what He suffered.
9 And having been perfected, He became the Causer of everlasting deliverance to all those obeying Him.
Jas 2
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so also the belief is dead without the works.
Rom 2
13 For not the hearers of the Torah are righteous in the sight of Elohim, but the doers of the Torah shall be declared right.
Jas 2
12 So speak and so do as those who are to be judged by a Torah of freedom
Jas 1
25 But he that looked into the perfect Torah, that of freedom, and continues in it, not becoming a hearer that forgets, but a doer of work, this one shall be blessed in his doing of the Torah.
34 Yeshua answered them, Truly, Truly, I say to you, everyone doing sin is a servant of sin.
Shalom
Good lesson.

John 1:12-13...As many as however received Him, HE gave to them authority children of God to be, for those believing in the name of HIM, who not of blood, nor of the WILL (THELEMOTOS) which means an act of will, wishes, desires...of flesh, nor of the WILL OF MAN, but of GOD were born.

what happened to the angels that sinned ( 2 Peter 2:4 ) was the devil in heaven ( Rev. We can not be "plucked" out of God's hand. the demons believe , in fact in Matt 5, Legion ran toward Jesus and fail down and worship him, so you believe he was saved?
Acts 2:38 says to repent and be baptized. Obidence is required Hebrews 5:9
The church of Christ should over haul it's doctrines on water batptism and denominationalism, the church of Christ willl be judged for decieving christians and being an imposter claiming to the invisible universal church
Mark 16:15-16
which denomination do I have to be a member of to be saved? none, yet I have to be a member of the Lords church to be saved.....so that tells me denominations are not the Lords church.
The church of Christ should repent therefore from the being an imposter masquerading as the invisible universal church and comdemning every christian to hell
Denominational religious sects do not however and those lost souls refuse to read the Bible for themselves!
They are keeping the traditions of man and NOT keeping the Commandments of Jesus.
Keep preaching Gods Truth brothers!
Even Peter worked out his salvation with fear and trembling. Why? And shouldnt you?
