    More videos like this please. I was working full time when I purchased my Bernina so I didn’t get to go to the free lessons. I’m using it the best I know how but I’m sure there are lots of other tips and tricks to learn. I really liked your tip about placing your whole foot on the foot control. I believe many of us are still sewing the way we did on our pedal machines when we were very young.

    One thinks one knows EVERYTHING about a foot control, because, frankly, what can be more to it, other than stepping on it and push.
    Thank you so much, I really had no idea that there is a lot more to it. No more wiggling, once the cord is properly attached. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

      I had no idea about left foot or winding the cord for class. You can’t imagine how I have tried to make it fit the way it came “out of the box”!

    Great video! Clear voice and explanation also for all no-english-native-speakers. Those are the tips and information you do not get when you by the Bernina. By the way, I love my new Bernina !

    All this time I've been using my right foot to work the foot control. Now that I understand why using the left foot is preferred I'll work at changing this habit (a habit used for many many years). Yes you can teach an old dog new tricks!
    Thank you

    Wow, I had a Bernina instructor tell me I was wrong for putting my entire foot on the pedal! Years later, I’m still doing that… good thing since it turns out it was designed to be used that way!

    How can I lengthen the cord? My table is big and I'd prefer it to go to the side rather down in front of me. Is there some sort of extension I can get?

    • @BerninaInternational
      @BerninaInternational  2 роки тому

      Thank you for the feedback- we currently do not offer an extension for this cord. We have heard some feedback like this before and are sharing yours too.

    I have a Bernina 1130 machine with retractable cord for the foot pedal. My foot pedal is not working. I press it down and nothing is happening. Sometimes, if I move the plug that connects to the machine, it might work. Sometimes not. Sometimes if I can get the heel press to lift the needle and turn the machine off, then on, it might work. I've had it worked on, but it's still not working. They replaced the fuses and worked on the boards. It worked briefly, then stopped. Do you have any ideas? Thank you.

      Hi Bonnie, sorry to hear about your foot pedal trouble. That sounds like a loose contact. Unfortunately, we cannot judge this from a distance and would ask you to have it checked by your dealer.

    Will these newer pedals with the back kick option work with the Bernina 350PE the way the older identical back kick pedals did? Thanks.

    • @BerninaInternational
      @BerninaInternational  8 місяців тому +1

      Yes- they will still make the back-kick needle up/down functionality work on the B 3 Series, as well as the Activa models.

    my pedal won't stop, its stuck on when I plug it into my machine. How do I get to to stop?

      It is probably worth taking your foot control to the dealer to check. The foot control should not activate without being pressed. Make sure that is is not wedged underneath the lip of a cabinet or something.

    My foot control suddenly slowed to a snail’s pace! One speed only. What could be the problem?

    • @BerninaInternational
      @BerninaInternational  3 роки тому +1

      Sorry to hear about your foot control trouble, please have an authorized technician take a look and see to diagnose the problem. You might also check to see if your machine has a speed control that you may have inadvertently set to a low speed.

    Having a problem with the same controller making my machine beep😢

    • @BerninaInternational
      @BerninaInternational  7 місяців тому

      This is likely a setting on the machine that is preventing stitching. I’d try to run the machine with the Start/Stop button (if present). If the machine refuses to sew then, it’s not the foot control. Otherwise, I’d take the machine to the BERNINA tech to have it checked.

    Where is the socket on the machine!?

    • @BerninaInternational
      @BerninaInternational  7 місяців тому

      On almost all BERNINA machines, the socket is on the right-hand side, see for example page 18 of the following document: www.bernina.com/bernina/media/Support/Sewing_Quilting_Embroidery/5_Serie_NEW/BERNINA_570QE/Documents/EN/1028835_20A_04_web_manual_B570QE_2022-09_EN.pdf (number 1 shows the socket on a B 570 QE)
