But we can compare from information that is available in the public domain. For example, China has around 200 J-20s in active service. Their nuclear powered aircraft carrier, Fujian, has EMALS, a technology that is only available on the Gerald R Ford carrier of the US. The range of the ballistic missiles on their SSBNs have a range of 10000 KM while the K4 nuclear ballistic missiles have a range of 3500 KM. We have to be realistic about our situation and admit that on some critical military technologies we are behind China.

1) Donot wants new weapons for indian defence forces . ( Anti India lobbies)
2) No purchase from foreign cunteries (, without getting a big amount privately)
3) DRDO big obstacle ,donot wish to buy new weapons by Indian defence sector from foreign countries. Wish to attempt to make every weapon, which is not possible practically.

India's biggest defence export is to USA, interestingly
We are not exporting much of weapons but mostly ammunition to some countries like UAE, Saudi Arabia, Armenia. Brahmos to Phillipines. Lets give a correct perspective. We are World second largest arms importer. Our defence eco system is in the nascent state. Gun Carriage factory Jabalpur is not headed by any Brigadier. Its now a part of Munitions India Limited after corportisation of OFB. Its a defence PSU. A long way to go as far as our defence eco system is concerned, First time private sector is getting involved. Our fighter aircraft Tejas is only 45% indigenous. China is far ahead in technology. Brahmos is joint venture with Russia. I find large amount of inaccurate factual details in this interview.

Never brag against or underestimate a potential adversary. China is well above in the Global technology curve as on date. They make their own chips, electronic PCBs, computing devices, optronics and weapon grade machinery. They may not as yet be on par with Western synergy but they are definitely in a higher technological threshold than most other countries in Asia and many countries in Europe. They also have infrastructure and skilled manpower and an education system focussed on necessary " practical applications and technological solutions".

Tejas uses best in class Israeli made electronic warfare suits and radars. And the engine is also made in the USA by General Electric. GE is a very reputed company to develop engines. It is natural that Tejas is able to intercept Typhoon. But the problem is with the elimination of the adversaries where Tejas lacks.

India itself had also increased Nuclear striking capabilities, not harm other but to provide a nuclear umbrella to 🇯🇵 Japan.
