I seen that same post on IG and immediately knew it was fake because when you build a c8 the price doesnt show up
And I think the nose lift is standard
The nose lift is standard from everything I have seen on the 2020 Vette, I don’t know why this guy says it’s an option!
It should be the same with the upgraded cooling some vids have talked about that should not be extra.
I just put in my deposit for a C8 with Chevy Dude.
he said in another video that you couldn't pre order until august and it would be 1000 down so someone is bs.
The only man I wanted to hear from about C8 Pricing 😌👍🏾
Canceled my mustang order yesterday and placed deposit for new c8. Can't order yet in canada but very soon I am told. They are taking deposits now though.
Don’t let this corvette distract you from the fact that Hector is gonna be running three Honda Civics with Spoon engines. On top of that, he just came into Harry'sm and ordered three T66 turbos with NOS and a Motec system exhaust.
**again my pricing is theory
“This is 100% DEAD ON.”
Lol
Why worry about pricing. If you cannot afford a Porsche, they produce something cheap like a Vette.
@@achristian7015 Corvette has never been cheap. People are saving up until 50 years old just to buy one.
As Dad said, if YOU’RE paying for the tires...light em up...😅🤣😂
Before seeing your video, guessed $75K for Z51 3LT, mag ride, two tone interior, NCM delivery "a must" best time one or two will ever have buying and receiving a Corvette. Thank you, makes sense. NCM1730
I gave the video a thumbs up (but gave it one demerit for the burnout; not a fan of just wasting rubber and don't even get me started on drifting as a sport). Loved the other commentary of pricing which made a whole lot of sense. And I hope you are right (on pricing) as I still may be a 'player'; pricing too much higher just puts me out in never-never land.
Thanks for doing this video and debunking the fake news about C8s costing over $111,000
No disrespect...but, he hasn't debunked anything. He's currently speculating just like everyone else...just say'n
Not to mention I think the guy that made that post might actually be correct. Maybe he was off on the z51 package but otherwise it looks good. We’ll see.
@@nwbklr : without supporting data, everyone's speculating. Will know for sure in a few days...
I don't know if/when the Grand Sport is coming but that's the model I'm looking forward to
Aehso B same here. Looks of a ZO6 with the 6.2 of the stingray. I don’t need 700+ HP(I’m nowhere near the driver to drive all that power), plus I live in bumper to bumper traffic with stop signs and red lights and speed cameras on every block . 500 HP with a good old corsa exhaust is all I need.
yeah, that's my car too! First Vette I bought was a grand sport off the show room floor at age 22. I was busting my ass working long hours at a good paying job and just started producing music for commercials. Loved that car! Such a sleeper and it's fast enough! Let's be honest, no one can't really push these cars unless you are on a track!
@@ricky3506 actually, they do beef up the engine a little (between a stingray and a Z06) plus some other added refinements. The special interior options for Grand Sports are down right SEXY AS HELL!
2020 C8 is a 2 year goal for me. I am retiring from the Navy in November and hopefully will have a lucrative career already underway by the middle of September while on terminal leave. I love this new Vet, but I also need a truck and wife wants us to get an RV. I hope I can figure it out! Thanks brother for all the great info, and until I get mine I'll have to live vicariously through you and Mike (Streetspeed717)!
@Paul Paul Retiring from the Navy, then starting a new career. Between my new salary, retirement, and disability I'll make a lot more than I do now!
Do deep research on the RV you choose to buy -- a lot of them are piles of junk, and the manufacturers are almost impossible to deal with, and you have little to no recourse against poor workmanship. Look up the Lehto's Law video on RV's here on UA-cam. Also, you probably won't make enough to pay for a Vette, truck, *and* RV.
If I were you I would trade in the Camaro. The C7 is a manual and you'll want to hold onto that indefinitely. Daily the C8.
He daily’s the Camaro. See him coming home all the time. Guess he be using the vets to daily. I daily drive my c6 more than my SS an that’s why I bought the ss. So he made right choice IMO
Isn’t the magnetic ride included in the Z51 package?
Can’t wait for this to come out! Looks amazing.
Nope on a C7. My 2016 2LT, Z51 has mag ride, and it was a $1795.00 option over the Z51 package
WOAH!!! I thought my $111,000 estimate build was a joke but it seems closer than I thought! If you do true carbon fiber ground effects (not carbon flash) I’m guessing it’s almost double so let’s add $3000. Then $2000 for a true carbon fiber rear wing. Then $1000 for interior carbon fiber. Front lift is probably all of $3500. I bet the 3LT goes up a lot because of all the new safety technology, let’s say $2000 more. Plus let’s do a 10% increase in costs of options over the C7 for add ons that are the same (inflation).
So now we take $93,000-$59,000 and get $34,000 in C7 options after base. That now becomes roughly $37,500 on our new C8 build... nothing crazy there but now let’s do the math.
So now some new C8 Corvette estimate build math... $60,000 base car plus $37,500 in old options is $97,500. Then we add the new goodies that could be roughly $11,500 more if you want them all bringing it to $109,000!!! Less than $2500 off! 😳😳😳 and that didn’t include Tax, Title, and License...
Interesting... if anyone wants to message me further and have a friendly debate I’m open to it at @Z06Realtor on Instagram 🙂 and just for the record I love Corvettes, I have a Corvette, I bought my dad a Corvette (wanted the best son award), and I’m just doing this for fun because I love the discussion! I hope my estimate is off because I would love to make the C8 my next Corvette 😃 but maybe I’ll wait for the Twin-Turbo monster coming in next year or so! 😈
You should make a video on the cheapest C8 with all the basics stuff. The cheapest C8 version
Im still driving my 93 SL1, 310k miles
I didn't realize you were here in Louisville. I won't be going first year on this, but seriously considering picking one up the following year. I'll have to come by and see you.
You have just convinced me to order a c8 with no options at all........
Torch Red w/ gray I interior.
Do they have a rubber floor mat option, w/o AC?? :) j/k I will have to wait for a 2025 carryover.
Yea, I'd have to pick gray or tan interior, I don't like the black interiors a whole lot.
@@Dylan-xj8tb Z51 is a great option, I don't need that option. I did not have it on my '14 & did not miss it. The only option I might consider is the Camaro looking spoiler.
Can you do a video on the financings of the c8. Do you put deposit down and secure financing when the car arrives or do you place order and persu financing immediately and start paying on it before you recieave it? Thank you local buyer interested
Honda NsX?? Ferrari 488??? This Corvette looks good because it's a blunt copy of those other cars..the price if truly around 50k$ will make it fly off the shelf...but why kill an icon to copy so evidently others?
Forgot delivery and dealer prep / mark up?
Dude, you’re videos are awesome! When will you be taking delivery on your C8?
corvette club here is going to go nuts for the C8
Yeah I was just wondering about burning out those tires and how much it would set you back.
You should talk about how the engine maintenance and repair is going to be. It seems like it will be a lot more labor intensive, simple things like spark plugs or water pump could be very expensive.
avsfan50138
I bet it’s designed to be mostly worked on from below on a lift
And you will want to take it to a dealer, rather than your neighborhood mechanic.
All new car, new technology, first year Corvettes not particularly reliable using proven technology, what could possibly go wrong. I will wait a couple of years while the eager buyers are test driving for GM.
Do you think trading in a 2005 Pontiac GTO with 28,000 miles would be worth buying a new 2020 Corvette. Man its so tempting
Hey ill buy one if I can get a 30 yr. Mortgage at 4%.
Navy federal will finance new cars for 7 yrs. You can put down good money get low interest rate for long term double your payments every few months and technically save bucks AND drive a bad ass ride. Do a UA-cam channel on your vette and let UA-cam pay part or all your car payment lol
Actually, if you own a home. You can take out a home equity loan to buy a car and you will be able to write off the interest on your taxes.
@Malcolm Reynolds It works until it doesn't and then they will blame the big bad banks...
Chevy dude, thanks for all your videos on Vettes. I have a question for you, so are the C7 prices at the dealerships (the outstanding inventory -both used and new) declining now that the C8 is out? what type of leverage do we have in negotiations around C7s if any? I appreciate any pointers. I love the C7, not really big fan of C8 style.
"Only $98K"? Add the nose lift at $3K and it's $101K. The big assumption here is that the pricing on the xLT levels being the same as C7 and the really big assumption is the Z51 being only $5K. I think he would have been off just saying "Wait for the pricing on 8/15."
When the ZO6 comes out do you think it will pretty much fall in line with that MSRP prices for the 2019
If you have 93k for a car then you have 111k anyways. The point it that no one is going to drive off the lot in a c8 paying anything close to 60k. You also didn't factor in any deal markup that we all know is going to happen as well. 100k+ is very probable.
Haywood none of our local dealers are placing mark up on these cars. Three dealers around us required just $1000. Just got on the list on Saturday!
This is why you have a relationship will your dealer. Mine knows not to pull any of that crap and to sell me the hot car at sticker or I wont be coming back.
spazzman90 sticker? If I don’t get my discounts they can keep it. In six months they’ll be giving them away. Always turns out that way regardless of make or model.
@@jimbeam4111 yeah, no way you're getting any discount on the first units that roll off the truck.
spazzman90 no discounts? Well then they can keep it. With GM ramping up production of the new vette, IMO they’re going to over produce them. This will saturate the market not only devaluing the ones that will sit on the lot but also the ones the fools who bought at launch as well as the complete financial idiots that pay a dealer markup. That’s like lightning money on fire.
From England, just subscribed, we could do with more salesman like you here. Loving the new C8!
Corvette has been around for 60+ years and mass produced not a set of 1,000 Furrds they keep harping on. Corvette is available to all unlike the handful of niche cars.
What will the Z06 start at without any options? Car and Driver says $85k, is that right? 🙏 Thanks.
Regarding the C8 I will never have my car on the track. For resale purposes would you recommend the Z51 or 2LT interior? Depending on the price and staying at a budget of $70k which would you recommend? Thank you
I never buy a car not to enjoy it resale never ever crosses my mind I have a c7 z06 and track it every chance I get I enjoy my cars and I will be buying a c8 z06 and yes I will track it .
Don’t know how true it is, but there’s a lot of claim that dealers are asking like $5,000 up charge? If I didn’t already have a $1,200 mo truck payment, I would try to get a new 18 or 19 z06
50calprepper if it was limited production but since it’s just a regular entry level corvette it’s highly unlikely they’d try to mark it up
blackassassin 5 Lol .. I feel ya, but it’s hard to drive a $70,000 truck for $700 or $800 mo. If it would have put us in a paycheck to paycheck situation, would have never done it.
That’s a good price on the new vet though!
Is there financing for this type of car? If so what would be the steps to order one and have it financed?
Nice car . . But
Why did not you think?
You can manufacture it
with a weight of 1300 kg or even less weight with a four wheel drive system. . The car will be a very difficult equation
......
If they made it with less weight. . After modified will compete supercar
I’ve had three Corvettes in my life and I’ll buy one of these 2020 stripped basic it’ll will still be cool 😎
The real question is are y’all gonna be liquidating those leftover c7s or what 👀
Here is something that dawned on me yesterday. Being a mid engine and that engine is sandwiched into the engine bay, do you think that the maintenance and repairs on the engine will be at exotic car levels? I'm sure oil changes won't be too bad but what about water pump, serpentine belt?
Still can't believe Gm couldn't design an Intake manifold they didn't need to hide with a plastic cover.
Hoping there’s easy access to engine via rear trunk. Looking forward to seeing factory maintenance on this.
Put down my deposit for one of the first allocations a couple days ago. Super excited
I know its really early but do have any info or opinions on what the maintenance costs or extended warranties will be? Since this in GM 's 1st Mid engine corvette i have heard labor costs will be higher due to the engine?
Sounds like base = 58-88k, Z06 = 65-100k, ZR1 = 120k-140k
Never understood the museum delivery. They want me to pay extra to move the car from the assembly line across the parking lot to pick it up? If I can pick the thing up at the factory, then why can’t I just buy the car directly from gm and cut out the middle man?
jim nielsen When I bought mine in 2011, I think it was $800. I never did it as I thought it was foolish then and believe it’s foolish now. There is absolutely NO reason to go through a dealer to buy a car and then pick it up at the factory/museum. This guys wants you to do that this way the dealer never inventories the car.
Most dealers are going to start with the addendum 10,000 over the sticker and then have you haggle them down!
djwlopez they can keep it then. Only a complete idiot would even speak to a dealer on a marked up vehicle. Even at 60k it’s a tough sale. Vettes just aren’t practical unless you live in a warm climate and are single.
Most dealers wont be marking up the vehicles, gm doesnt play that like ford
Quite simple! Don't buy from them!!!!! Buy from a honest dealer! Then make the dishonest dealer do the warranty work.
Hey Chevy Dude I have a question! This dealership I’m talking to says they can hold a car for me but I’ll have to put money down on the car for them to hold it, which makes sense, but is it worth it?? And how much is it usually.
Local Dealers Already Saying $10,000 ABOVE MSRP
Think I'm making a road trip to buy from the Chevy Dude !
How much do you think the 2LT pricing will go up because of how many more things they added to it, including NAV/PDR?
Your tire guy must love you Mike.🤣🤣
I have a question how many test drive miles can you put on a new car on your lot until it’s considered a used car?
In 50 years the coolest Corvette will be the C8 one with no options with original sticker under $59G.
I'm seriously debating investing in one. I would only drive it for about 5,000 miles a year at most.
@R May , It seems like it's probably a moot point anyways. My sales buddy just said he doesn't think it's even possible to get a first year car anymore
D Rock 75: What???? Are you saying that all the first year cars are already spoken for?? Holy cow!
@@BrassStacks ; that means all the first year mechanical problems will hopefully be fixed and we will get an even better car... :)
Mike, I've been looking at my options, on GM site, picking out colors, options on a new 2020 Corvettte, trim level 3, whatever it was called. In bright orange color, with full length black stripes, and the full tan, or natural color leather interior. I know you said you didn't like that interior color, but I don't care for black interior, and I like a tan colored interior. With black upgrade wheels/rims. Carbon roof panels, and larger size carbon spoiler. It looks frickin sick dude! GM knocked it out of the park with the new mid engine Corvette. The best looking Corvette ever, by a long shot. It's sick man.
Ford just freaking out is all that price sheet shit was. C8 is a serious steal and I say they feel kinda somewhat damn stupid with the price for the new GT500 and that damn 500k GT...beautiful cars but, come on.

Wasn't the C7 a mid engine technically? True The engine sat behind the front axel, which by definition, made it a mid engine car
Hey Chevy Dude, been looking to buy a new car recently within the next coming month. But the MSRP is still around the 28.5 to 29.4 grand range, but the truecar and KBB lists the price around 25.7 to 26.3 grand. I can guarantee those prices listed are accurate, you're looking to spend at least 100k unless you get it bare-boned. Looks like i'll be keeping my c7.
Yes, but what will be the “Regional Markup” be on the C8?
I think you should keep your Camaro or sell both the Camaro & your Corvette. Once you get your C8 I think your interest in your current Corvette will drop. You'll be driving your C8 instead.

Does GM give employee discounts for specialty vehicles such as the ZR1? I know that Ford doesn't give any discounts for any of theirs, not sure about FCA. Just curious if they're sticklers about that or not. Personally I'm not a fan of things like that but it is what it is. 58k is a really good starting price for what you're getting with that car though. Even if it is a base model.
