I take this opportunity to say that i used this method to adjust the crochet waist of shorts that I made for my 3 granddaughters this summer. Flawless!. Love your tutorials!!
Thank you! Saved for future reference, like when I’m working in a shawl (hmmm, or a cardigan w stripes…!). If I’m making a shawl & using a larger needle (looser fabric), cutting & weaving in ends doesn’t always look the best. This technique is perfect! And bonus tip w I-cord edges! Perfect!

That's a very neat way of carrying up the yarn and it's great that it doesn't affect the stretch of the fabric.
