i decided to listen to Britney's old songs and i found this song after idk hw mny long since i was a kid, felt like i found a GEM. i missed it sm, crazy how i still rmb every dance moves, lyrics and fave scenes from this.
This song hits different after the documentary. I always wanted people to let her be herself and leave her alone but now even more I understand her struggles.
It's so weird to me... as a 10 year old all I thought when singing to this song on repeat was how catchy it was and how bomb she looked in the video and dance routines. But today reading the lyrics it's so obvious some of her songs were like a cry for help and her way of expressing her struggles and frustration in her life. It's so sad... I wish I knew the context when I was a kid :(

The paparazzi and media made her out to be a crazy person and drove her to insanity so that they can make MONEY but Americans are so fucking ignorant that they DONT realize that money has to do with anything, they eat up everything they read and its pretty sad. Nobody else could have lasted a day in her shoes, if I was in that much personal and public stress in the negative light 24/7, my morals compromised with the music that the industry wants instead of what I want, my childhood taken away.. She can't drive, getting married, have child, vote, seeing the people she wants to see, she can't make decisions for herself legally, this woman has no human rights and is abused all the time for 12 years, her life before the conservatorship was extremly horrible she didn't have anyone to help her going trough what she had to, instead the entire world mocked her and called her crazy when she was just rebelling against her perfect image...it was constant harassment from the media to paparazzy 24/24 at a point she did multiple suicidal atteimpt... and the conservatorship absolutly don't help her now.
