okutaviof This is the way the composer wrote the piece. You should talk to him about the missing words. The choir is just faithfully singing what is on the page.

Great song, great performance, but I don't see the point of making walk the singers like if they were in some sort of esoteric or initiatic ceremony… It's a little ridiculous… Jesus isn't even there.

You have to be in the church to realize the acoustic effect it creates when singers walk up to the front from the side.
