I think they were marketed as a boy band for boys. As a teen I certainly used to think they were cool and would (and still do) sing along to their tunes.
I always preferred them to BSB and *NSYNC. I loved all 3 because…teenage girl…but they were always my favorite. Although…I always got “4 bad boys and Rich” vibes. I dunno why. He always came off so adorable and innocent compared to the others.
The fact that I still look for this song in 2022 proves the big love I have for this band 😁 They didnt get the fame they deserved back then. Despite their style and songs are unique comparing to other boybands existed in the same era. Oh, I had huge, huge crush on Scott Robinson!

Because BSB and NSYNC are american boybands which will get you alot bigger worldwide if they promote you in the US if FIVE were promoted in the US im sure they would have been bigger

Is it me but in a lot of 90s music videos or in the era in general, guys look hot when they dance? Sounds weird, but at least they know what dancing is. 😍😆
Ashley Victoria Can't agree more with you. I think their style also helps them to look manly too. I mean, they're wearing clothes like how the men should be, not too much shocking-colour stuffs. And the most important thing is they don't set any makeup on their face😁😁
This song brings back memories!! Me and my friends, loved dancing to this. I was the only one, that actually had their album. I listened to it all the time. Lyrics (don't mind me, i put this for myself) :
Five bad boys with the power to rock you
Blowing your mind so you gotta get into
Five, whatcha waiting
Four, if you wanna
Three, three
Two, two
One let's do it
Do you wanna get freaky
When the five of us make one
You gotta push the good vibe on
If you really wanna feel it
Got da flava in my soul
But I really need to know
Do you wanna get down
Do you wanna get funky
Do you wanna get down
Get on down
Slam dunk da funk, put it up
(If you got that feeling)
Slam dunk da funk, put it up (put it up)
Slam dunk da funk, put it up
Slam dunk da funk, put it up (put it up)
You gotta shoot, pass, slam baby time to set it off
I'll be up, up away, above the rim and hook a shot
Ally oop, baby, whoop, there it is and now I got ya
Three seconds left, it's just enough for me to rock ya
Now check it, how I flip it rock a beat cos
I get with it and everybody wants to be the man
With a hey, yippee yo yippee four quarter slam
Everybody grab a party and just get on down
Do you wanna get down
Do you wanna get funky
Do you wanna get down
Get on down
Slam dunk da funk, put it up
(If you got that feeling)
Slam dunk da funk, put it up (put it up)
Slam dunk da funk, put it up
Slam dunk da funk, put it up (put it up)
You wanna know what hits you like a fork lift truck
We got J, AB, Rich, Sean and Scott rocking the extra
Curricular ladies love particular fella
Who knock da meter get the boom shake regular
Five bad boys, honey no, we don't quit 'til we hit
The rebound sound with a kick
So come on everybody, everybody in tune
As I boomshake 'n rock a boody
Gimme room
Clap your hands
Move your feet
Push it in, pull it out to the beat
Clap your hands
Move your feet
Push it in, pull it out to the beat
Slam dunk da funk, put it up
(If you got that feeling)
Slam dunk da funk, put it up (put it up)
Slam dunk da funk, put it up
Slam dunk da funk, put it up (put it up)
Slam dunk da funk, put it up
(Do you wanna get funky)
Slam dunk da funk, put it up (get on down)
Slam dunk da funk, put it up
Slam dunk da funk, put it up (get on down)

I❤️this song reminds me of my college days so much members of the 90s l ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I am thirty yrs old an I remember this song comin on during commercial break on the disney channel.
Angela Payne haha same have cd with me still
Is it me but in a lot of 90s music videos or in the era in general, guys look hot when they dance?
Sounds weird, but at least they know what dancing is. 😍😆
Ashley Victoria Can't agree more with you. I think their style also helps them to look manly too. I mean, they're wearing clothes like how the men should be, not too much shocking-colour stuffs. And the most important thing is they don't set any makeup on their face😁😁
OM!! 😮.. Yes still listening 😊
These British boys still melt my heart! 🥰
The most underrated boys band ever , being on the top only in the uk was not enough, meanwhile a wise man said "life is stupid".
I’m 36 brings back memories , look at their dance moves and baggy trousers 😂
This song brings back memories!! Me and my friends, loved dancing to this. I was the only one, that actually had their album. I listened to it all the time. I remember, getting to play this album in gym class. We had an awesome gym teacher. Five was so talented and totally underrated. I miss the 90's!!
I have been looking for this song for years and I finally found it! THANK YOU GOD!!!!!!
