I had mentioned this before on the discord, but the Instant Fortress provides an absurd amount of damage when used offensively. I had an imp familiar effectively destroying encounters by popping that item on the field.
Solid list! I would argue on the right character, the Illusionist’s Bracers from guildmasters guide to ravnica are quite broken. The ability to cast a cantrip you used on your action and again as a bonus action just makes the DM cry. Fighter 2/ warlock x, a machine gun from hell! Playing a bladesinger? Now your dealing twice the booming blades or green flame blades a turn.
I got one for ya! Illusionist's Bracers from Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica. While wearing the bracers. whenever you cast a cantrip, you can use a bonus action on the same turn to cast that cantrip a second time. Doesn't seem very overpowered does it? Until you realize that it can effectively give classes like Rouges and Clerics for example, Extra Attack if they were to pick up either Booming Blade or Green Flame Blade. Not only that, but then they get the extra damage from the Cantrips as well. Both Cantrips scale with character level. Paladins can smite off of both Booming Blade or Green Flame Blade, and they could take either Magic Initiate or a single level dip in Sorcerer to get both of those spells(and Shield). Or you could just give them to a Warlock... Eldritch Blast go Brrrr...
@@ThisCrits Yeah, I always wanted those for my Bladesinger. Three attacks per turn, with added damage on two of them, that`s as many attacks as a 11th level Fighter, but with the added damage on two of them it`s more than a 20th level Fighter... Did you ever read up on Transmute Rock from Xanathar`s? Lots of great spell combos with that one... In a lot of ways it acts like Plant Growth from the Druid spell list, only for Wizards. A movement speed reduction that's NOT Difficult Terrain, and also NOT concentration, so it stacks with difficult terrain... and also 'pseudo' Difficult Terrain effects like Caltrops and Ball Bearings, as well as spell effects like Ray of Frost, Spirit Shroud, or Summon Shadowspawn.
Id argue the oathbow is more deadly on a rogue than the cloak of invisibility. The oath part of the bow means they have guaranteed sneak attack, and the additional damage adds to sneak attack. Do the xbow and sharpshooter feats along with some enchanted ammunition and it's even more damage than the gauntlets on a fighter/monk with up to 11 attacks in a turn using action surge and furry of blows
Honestly, apart from the cloak of invisibility i wouldn't call any of these Items "Broken" they are still strong tho! And it is also nice to not just see all the same items listed as always (looking at you staff of power, cube of force and X of protection.)
Yea I get it, but I am beholden to the search terms of the platform unfortunatley. I am glad you enjoyed though, I try to include items that I haven't seen before myself to keep it interesting because literally everyone and their mother has talked about the deck of many things, the staffs of power, etc.
Outstanding choices, Lee! Love idea of pairing Aura of Vitality with Armor of Safeguarding! Bloodshed Blade... blood smites... gross AND powerful! Oathbow, in a way, gives you Sharpshooter x 2 in terms of damage... except it gives you advantage to hit which is, of course, 🍌🍌🍌. If you play a Champion Fighter, you can extend that crit range too! Your Gauntlets of Flaming Fury basically turn short swords into great swords. The build you put together for Aradel Brightmaw is brutiful. Serious-Lee, anyone reading this should check it out because we've never seen a build like it before! Cloak of Invisibility is incredible for anyone that loves Great Weapon Master or Sharpshooter too. Nothing offsets that -5 penalty to attack rolls quite like advantage does.
2d6+10d12+Str.+Con is on average 72 + Str. + Con. If the Barbarian has +5 Strength and +3 Constitution that would be 80 damage or 155,5 on a crit (The decimal comes from +3,5 brutal critical since it is a barbarian) I gave the Monk in my group the gauntlets (allowed that it works on his unarmed strikes) it is great ^^
@@ThisCrits I mean you did hire a "mathematician" ^^" Yeah only problem is I gave it to a pyromaniac. Well not a real problem but I didn't think this through
If you didn't like the gauntlets I gave you extra fire damage then you wouldn't like the Helm of brilliance. Besides giving you powerful non-reusable spells. If you don't use one of each gym then you will have: Fire resistance from Ruby 1d6 fire damage from fire opal ( add shed light) 1d6 radiant damage to Undead within 30 ft radius from diamond( add light) Each of these effects are powerful.
I love the helm of brilliance! I have it on my list but havent spoekn about it much because its more well known and I like to provide people with new stuff they havent seen yet! That being said I might include that in my next one because its so cool!

Well they're screawed.😊 Look point is there is a lot of ways to get pass theos "op" magic items. Let players have their fun make them feel powerful and if you want to give them a challenge you can.
Not really a cloak of invisibility doesn't mean that you're completely undetectable. So it's not like a fighter could use this cloak. Mostly rogues Secondly if someone or a creature has true sight they will be able to see them. There also magic items that make people see invisibility as well. Yes in the right hands this cloak could be devastating. But it's not infallible. And the rogue will be able to kill most people. However do you really think someone powerful will be that easy to sneak up on with their body gards? Not so much. Now they can pull it off but then it's about strategy and timing. And if they get that right I'll give to them. 😊 Oh ya and Don't for get. Spotting someone isn't only sight, there is Hearing, smell, touch as well If someone has blind sight they could still possibly see the invisible player. And if they have their listen turned up to max? Well i doubt it will be that easy. And because they are already blind and it they cast a spell like Darkness or deep Darkness. The rogue will be blind as well but one has blindsight and the other doesn't. 😊 I gave one of my players a cloak of invisibility once. He wanted to assassinate the Empress however the Empress body gard was my old charater She is a blind Samuri that is lvl 57 With blindsight and a listen of 35? I think? He actually thought he could do it just because he had the cloak. He was lvl 17 and that's where it ended.
I had mentioned this before on the discord, but the Instant Fortress provides an absurd amount of damage when used offensively.

Totally thought this video was about repairing damaged magic items
