Video demonstration of how to remove a rear suspension sway bar.
Oh man, my rear sway bar bushings are broken into several pieces, and this is not what I was hoping to find out. Thanks for posting. This is the price of balling on a budget. 😢
You made it sound so difficult. But this job in fact is fairly simple.
PERFECT time to replace the two suspension arms that can’t be gotten to with the subframe attached. Guarantee they are worn enough to do since it’s all down and open
dammmmm, drop the entire rear sub frame? might as well replace every dam bushing while your there,,, wow huge job,,, thanks for the video
How much did that job cost
Same thing I’m wondering because I just left Mercedes in New York they want $1700
Bloody big job mate :-( I hate the Mercedes as they always make things extremely difficult to exchange... I think their policy is like "ohh yeah your sway bar is faulty, alright then its so big job to replace it is better if you just buy a new car straight away..."
Can I ask What the noise was sounding like? I have 08 s550 making rattling noise. Have replaced Arnott struts twice. Still persists. I’m going insannnne
I've been trying to remove the exhaust but I can't, and I don't want to cut it. One side has a clamp and the other side just slides out?
I don't know if you got this fixed for you, but I had the same problem as above, but I just detached both end links and pushed and pulled that sway bar as I twisted it and I got it to pull the bushings back into place. It took about 20 round trips of strenuous push and twist on the passenger side and pull and twist on the driver side to get it back. It was pretty hard work, but free. It took about an hour.
woah, can't change the bad part, need to change whole bar that's totally fine. That's weir....err german
