Positano info ..
Hotel we stayed in - Le Agavi. The view was probably the best view I’ve ever seen in my life, staff were so friendly & attentive. It was 10 min car journey from the main town but everything was super easy access with the free hotel shuttle.
How to get there - we flew into Naples and from there we jumped into a taxi that took us all the way to Positano, costing around $200. I would advise to pre book a transfer as that would be much cheaper (around $80-90), we got ripped off!
Restaurants we ate at and loved - Adoma & Eva, Le serinuse, il Fornillo, Bruno.

I'm italian and more precisely neapolitan , i know that in restaurant and in general italians like their pasta al dente , that's why they do cook it hard and it could come as a surprise to you but whenever we go out , my father has to specify to the waiter to overcook the pasta , because of this habit of al dente pasta which he detests . He likes the way you cook it soft and almost spongy
From Sorrento you can also take bus (Sita) to Positano. The stop is right outside the train station. You can't beat the price, Naples to Positano for less than 10 Euros!

Positano and the whole Amalfi coast is beautiful, but I truly can’t cope with all the tourists. That combined with the Italian chaos is a nightmare. I love Europe’s latin countries and you chose a good time to go. When I go south I always go early or late in the season to avoid the typical summer holiday crowd. In August these countries have their own vacation, schools are out and it is double crowded. Great choice of hotel🤗.
I AGREEEEE! Places like the amalfi coast/french riviera/spain too like ibiza marbella and marollca are always crowded for the summer whereas may/september time theyre usually good beauce its less hot and less crowded so thats always the best time to go to

Hi Freya, looks such a wonderful trip. I’ve been to Positano. I feel your pain with the steps 😂. I can recommend Sorrento for similar vibe with less steps. I went to Sorrento for my significant birthday and went to Capri on my actual birthday which was a great experience. Wishing you every happiness for your thirties ❤

Hello Freya, 💗I am Italian, it was very interesting to see my country with the eyes of a British person.😊 I actually live in the UK and like you, I find that I may not like something that here in the UK is very popular and very "British". With regards to pasta, no offence should be taken. Everyone has their own unique taste which cannot be judged. I personally would not order pasta in a UK restaurant because I don't like soft pasta. I appreciate you being sincere though. Maybe you could have asked the chef to cook the pasta a little more, I am sure they would not mind after all they are cooking it for you, you are the customer and they want to please you after all ! I hope this help any British on holiday in Italy : if you like soft pasta, you have to ask for it 😊 Thanks for the lovely video 💗

Beautiful Vlog. I went to South of Italy last August (do not recommend that month to travel there), it was sooooooo hot and the stairs everywhere had me using my asthma pump every damn day lol. I came back after 2 wks and joined the gym...lol I don't think I've ever walked that much in my life and I live in NY.
