Krishna is nimisa and animisa. His eyes are wide open to our insignificant services and closed to our shortcomings. Krishna is ever-waiting, ever-willing and ever-working - He is always waiting for us, prepared to forgive us and works to get us back to the spiritual world. Meditating on His wonderful qualities should increase our love for Him. Thank you very much.
In bhakti, we utilize the body to serve Krishna. We have to consciously train our mind to remember Krishna in the present moment. The dominating thoughts of the present moments will decide what we will be thinking at the time of death. Baldev Vidya Bhushan's commentary on Animisha and Nimisha (Vishnu Sahastranamam) is so beautiful! And your examples were amazing! Krishna is in our hearts to not catch our mistakes but to coach to differentiate between the right and the wrong. Present is all that we have to remember Krishna; to learn the art of leaving.
Bring urgency to our life, shouldn`t think that something will happen in future and we`ll become serious. Offer the present moment to Krishna. Thank you Prabhu. Wonderful points to meditate on and actually implement it in our life. Hare Krishna
Thank you Prabhuji. If we want to have devotional activity now is the time. We should not postpone our spiritual activity waiting for a better time. We will always have distractions, now or in future. The problem is not the lack of time but lack of proper attitude.
Thank you so much for the inspiring lecture. These classes have really unpacked the Sri Isopanishad and given me a far deeper understanding of this book than I have obtained from previous readings.
Nice lecture prabhuji, interesting to note following words; Mind shuffle between past and in future. Not being in present. That attitude needs to change. Time to purify is now, distractions will always be there. Do it whole heartedly, bring urgency in devotional life.
Beautifully explains the all merciful nature of Krsna as to how He is ever-waiting, ever-willing and ever-working. He overlooks our faults and takes into account even the smallest of the services we do. We have to realize and understand this love of Krsna and relinquish our pseudo-shelters and work towards achieving the highest perfection - love of God. We have to make the best use of our available time and cultivate the attitude of committing to Krsna whatever be the external circumstance. There is no use waiting for a rosy future and not putting our best effort in the present. The present is all that we have and all that we will ever have
Love based motivation helps us to remember Krsna at the time of death. Krsna opens his eyes to our sincere service and closes his eyes to our mistakes. Hare Krsna
Hare krishna prabhuji, very well explained the attitude towards the body and the art of leaving the body. the last thought at the time of death, how imp it is and for that we have to practice life long.... thanks a lot....
Krishna wants to coach us. Not catch us. He always keeps His eyes open to see our service, see our devotional potency. Eg: Putana came as a demon to kill infant Krishna. But Krishna closed His eyes for her wickedness but remembered her motherly love in her previous life and also a tinge of motherly love when came to feed Krishna. She was liberated and promoted as Lord’s nurse in the spiritual kingdom.
Prayer at death bed. This is not the prayer at devotee level prayer. The material body is a foreign (to soul) dress that must be given up. The best way to give up is by surrendering to the Lord & not by merging with Brahn Jyoti. The importance of last thought Krishna never forgets our service to him Krishna service is ever available through devotional service. Prepare for death by devotional service Attitude towards body: For Karmiks- Romanticize- Body is source of pleasure, it’s purpose of existence is enjoyment. For Jnanis- Demonecizes- Body is filthy material & hence to be rejected extremely. For Bhaktas - Utilize this body in devotional service like Ambrish Maharaj Body’s capacity of enjoyment is limited. It seems to be a road to pleasure that turns into road block to pleasure. Body is filled with urine, stool & pus. What is the difference between worm & this body. This is demonicizing the body. We have to take care of the body to utilize for bhakti. That is the steady position others are extremes. We are dressed by our desires. Soul takes foreign dress i.e. body as per our desires. Art of leaving the body : The body will give us up, but we will not give up the body for bodily attachment. Till our subtle body becomes purified. We have to detatch from desires to give up desires of enjoying through this body. Process of Bhakti is purifying subtle body. All species don’t have capacity to purify subtle body, only human form can alone can. The last thought at death: We will remember that in which we have sought shelter the most during our life. Krishna is true shelter, others are pseudo shelter. If we do bhakti whole life and we do not remember him at the time of death but he will remember us to make us remember him. Krishna’s eyes for devotees: Animisha- Keeps eyes always open to our service for him- Like Draupdi put a piece of saree when Krshna got injury on his finger, he remembered that service and provide draupdi tons of sarees. Nimisha- He closes eyes to devotees mistakes- like Putna who was devotee in her past life, Child Krishna closed his eyes while sucking Putana to send her to abode. He is not catching us, he is coaching us- Krishna is not finding our faults but he is guiding us to raise our spirituality. Krishna’s unfainting love: Ever waiting: We need him, we should wait for him but he is waiting in our heart as Parmatma when we will look forward towards him. Ever willing : Even if we turn against him, hi is loving us. Ever working : He never gets tired. He again & again tries to bring us to spiritual life. By meditating on Krishna’s love, we can keep ourselves away from love with materialistic world which is temporary. Nine types of devotional service: (1) By hearing of the Lord, Mahārāja Parīkṣit, the hero of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, attained the desired result. (2) Just by glorifying the Lord, Śukadeva Gosvāmī, the speaker of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, attained his perfection. (3) By praying to the Lord, Akrūra attained the desired result. (4) By remembering the Lord, Prahlāda Mahārāja attained the desired result. (5) By worshiping the Lord, Pṛthu Mahārāja attained perfection. (6) By serving the lotus feet of the Lord, the goddess of fortune, Lakṣmī, attained perfection. (7) By rendering personal service to the Lord, Hanumān attained the desired result. (8) Through his friendship with the Lord, Arjuna attained the desired result. (9) By surrendering everything he had to the Lord, Mahārāja Bali attained the desired result. The present is all we have and all that we will ever have. Attitude for present will affect to our future. We should take present seriously to purify ourselves. We should bring urgency to spiritual life, we should not postpone to future. We don’t have lack of time but lack of attitude.
