  • Angela Wylie reads her original poem, "Gramp's Barn," which recently won first-place in an annual competition at Northeast Texas Community College. This is Angela's third year to place first in this prestigious event. The poem celebrates the legacy of a barn once owned and mainained by Arvin Newton, Angela's grandfather ("gramps") and displays her unique talent for word choices and deep understanding of family and rural values. This reading was done at Tinney Chapel UMC, home church of Angela Wylie and her late grandfather, Arvin Newton.
