I'll probably get a lot of questions about this, so here is the amazing peel and stick subway backsplash in my laundry room: bit.ly/2MvsMbQ It is such an amazing product, I'm obsessed! Don't forget to comment below which brand of detergent you use too 😘
I love these tips! My favorite laundry detergent is Method ginger mango. It’s all natural and it smells so amazing! They also have a fabric softener in the same scent. 👍
I want to thank you for the tip regarding using the dish liquid. I had been washing a white jean jacket and white pair of shorts over and over again using different products that had stains on them that couldn't be removed. They were just about to be donated when I saw this video and decided why not try your suggestion. To my surprise all the spots came out. I was so excited that I shared it with all my friends. Thank you again.
I love Seventh Generation free + clear laundry detergent ☺️ perfect for my tiny babe and whole family! And dryer balls are a must! With a few drops of vanilla + lime essential oils.
Thanks for the tips, girl! Seeing your beautiful laundry room in the background just reminds me I still need to makeover my own laundry room! 🤞🏼 I’m able to post it in a few weeks! Thanks for the motivation and tips, love! 🥰
LOL... at 5:40, do you really have one of those hanging from your dash board... That explains a lot. Sharrah I'm super impressed by your laundry routine. I give you and Aunt Lynne all the credit for anything you've shared here today. I just shove everything in the wash and hope I remember to put it in the dryer before it gets sour smelling :-))) Learned a lot :-) Now, to Amazon Mom
I do too. Have you seen the post of some guy who had dawn in his shower? His girlfriend took a photo and said he told her if it’s good enough for ducks it’s good enough for him. 😆😆. I did get some advice off a Facebook post that said warm up a cup of vinegar in the microwave for 30 seconds, add a cup of BLUE only dawn dish soap in a spray bottle. Spray bathtub & shower, leave an hour and clean with a magic eraser. 😮😮 the nearly embedded dirt I’d been trying and trying to scrub with different cleaners just came right off no effort, cleaned the walls too. 😊😊
Thieves Laundry detergent from Young Living, just started using it this year and it’s replaced all of the laundry products I once used to buy/diy, it’s concentrated so you can use it as is for stain removing or spot treating or dilute it (which stretches is 3x fold) for regular laundry use. It doesn’t use any fragrances (which I learnt from the documentary “Stink” is another word for perfume or more technically speaking: petrochemical-derived toxic artificial smell) and turns out when you do the math is cheaper than regular detergent+any other additive products you find in the market (I bought my first bottle in Jan and I’m not even halfway through yet, and I do laundry pretty much on the daily with a messy toddler around). As a plus it’s biodegradable as it doesn’t use harmful chemicals that wash into the water systems and since it’s powered by natural essential oils it’s healthy for my skin to be in contact with and even for breathing in and I don’t need to worry about it being harmful for my child’s sensitive skin 😊 I have become quite the fan (if you couldn’t tell) so I thought I’d share my experience in case it serves anyone in this thread!
I came to the U.S. because of the smell of the cloths. :) when I was a little girl I used to smell my uncle's cloths when he came from US. It was the country of good smells for me. When I migrated here, I noticed that only laundry rooms smell like my uncle's cloths. ha ha ha. I am always in a challenge of finding the detergent that smells like America for me.I couldn't yet, but I hope one day, I finally can :))))
Parvaneh Sabbagh Awe what a sweet memory!! I hope you come across your scent! Snuggle Blue Sparkle dryer sheets always smell like the classic, clean laundry scent to me, maybe smell that one 🙂
My favorite deterget is olive soap. I use it disolved in water for everything! In a spray bottle for cleaning all surfaces around the house without having to rinse, for laundry, for moping. It's all natural and I don't have to worry if my daughter touches anything
Totally exciting, I love washing! And I use all these tips. My favourite laundry soap is earthwise unscented, sensitive liquid. I react to most laundry liquids and powders, I find liquid a lot better for my front loader, and because it's unscented I can use any fabric conditioner or essential oils and they don't clash 😊 for stains and whites I scrub off excess debris with cold water and soak in Frend oxy clean with enzymes. We don't have Dawn dish soap in New Zealand.
Laundry is my favorite Chore!!!!!! I started using the pink pebbles about a year ago. Absolutely love them. I purchase them at Costco. I believe they are the 'April Fresh' scent from Downey. I must try the unstoppable scent. Love the Dawn idea. I must go purchase the flat air dry foldable hanger. Awesome tip! I usually dry the 'lay flat' items on a towel and keep having to change towels. Love the content in this video!!!!
Unstoppables and all fabric softener contains enormous amounts of chemicals. Just stick with EOs for scent. Anything with fragrance in the laundry industry has chemicals and toxins and stays on our clothes all day and then your skin touches it. Ewwww!
Thank you for your tips! will get one of those sock docks! Never seen that before! It even eliminates the process of matching them together afterwards!
My favorite laundry detergent for performance is Tide Ultra Stain Release but for smell it’s Gain Blissful Breeze which is what I wash my sheets in bc they’re not stained
Love these tips ♥️ I love the Ariel powder detergent with oxi clean and Ensueno softener combo is the best smell and if you air dry your clothes the smell lasts for like ever ♥️ and for stain remover I sprinkle some baking soda over it and put hydrogen peroxide and rub together everything comes out.
I love the Arm & Hammer odor blaster detergent and Tandil (Tide knockoff from Aldi's). My husband is a carpenter and we have two very adventurous nature-loving boys... these detergents are my life saver.
Hi Sharrah! I loved these videos but I wanted to know if these fragrances/essential oils mentioned are bad for your skin. I know members of the skincare community avoid essential oils, for instance, and so I was wondering if there's a reason that it's okay to use them for laundry!! Thanks again for sharing everything
Gain has a yummy tropical scent, sensitive unscented softener, Shimmer Downy beads, and I always add vinegar to a pre-wash to kill any unwanted odors! I'm commenting because my specialty lies in bra measurements, fit and wash/care- CLASP YOUR BRAS even before putting them in a delicate bag to prevent snagging of any kind! (Lay flat to dry) ✨💛 Great video, thanks for the tips!
I love Zum laundry soaps, and my favorite scent is frankincense patchouli. Smells clean and sophisticated. They also have wool balls and oils to scent the balls.
I like the Oxy pods, and Oxy whitener pods. I've seen improvements with Oxy Pods transferring over from Tide pods & liquid detergent, and gain detergent.
I use Tide and the unstoppables they smell amazing. Love your channel so many great design content and your personality is so fun😉thanks for the laundry tips💕
Unstoppables and all fabric softener contains enormous amounts of chemicals. Just stick with EOs for scent. Anything with fragrance in the laundry industry has chemicals and toxins and stays on our clothes all day and then your skin touches it. Ewwww!
Great video and tips! 👍♥️👍 Here’s some of my go to items: Persil ProClean Laundry Detergent - comes in many different formulas; Dawn Bleach Alternative - I have a 20 oz bottle that I’ve been using as a spot treatment for many years, 6 or more years and still have a quarter of the bottle left!; Borax - I like to use when washing towels or have my 21 year old son add to his stinky laundry; Vinegar- used as fabric softener for 10 or more years. I have some of the plastic knobby dryer balls, but interested in trying the wool dryer balls!
I have a spray bottle of equal parts Hydrogen Peroxide and blue Dawn to treat stains! Also, I make my own dry detergent! One recipe makes 2 large ice cream buckets full, and it lasts my family of 6 nearly 6 months, so it's the more frugal option for us. Plus, I can make it smell however I want depending on which Purex crystals I use or Fels Naptha vs Zote.
Great tips! Thank you for sharing. I use All free and clear because my husband breaks out if I use any other type of detergent. I do use unstoppables for the fragrance. Love them!
As a person who has a serious skin reaction to basically anything other than very specific brands of Free & Clear detergents and can't use fabric softener, I am jealous ... lol
I use Tide regular, and Tide sports for exercise gear, the unstoppables different fragrances depending on what I’m washing. Love the lavender unstoppable for our bedding. Oxi, and or dawn for stains as well. Love the hacks, especially keeping track of socks and no more sanding my yoga pants.
What a great informative video. Thanks so much. I use the gain pods and have all my laundry products in ball jars. Its fun to have a selection of great smelling laundry products, on a cute tray with a little lamp. Love all your great videos.
Favorite laundry detergent is homemade. I make it from Flesnatha, washing soda, and borax. It really seems to solve problems with sensitive skin at my home.
Melissa McClure i make my own as well out of Cold power soap powder( an Australian brand), washing soda and borax. I don’t use fabric softener but rather an antibacterial rinse. I hang out in the sunshine until dry. Everything comes up like new and smells like clean (if that makes sense) 😂😂
There is a Mexican soap in the laundry isle called zote. Best ever soap! It even gets baby stains out and can use on more than laundry. My favorite detergent used to be Cher’s, then it was tide, and now I’m really into perfil proclean. I almost forgot it’s good to use vinegar in your towels, shout also good on stains, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Have you ever heard of blueing your whites? It works but so do the other natural items
You have some good tips here. One thing I don't think would be useful is that sock dock. Socks and other laundry, for that matter, need to have the water and soap pushed through the article to clean them. The part of the sock that is bunched onto the sock dock will never get clean. Nothing can get at it.
Hi my favorite laundry detergent is arm hammer oxi clean fresh scent and the in wash booster with the downy scent dryer beads in lavender all so good if’s on sale will buy downy infusions Calm lavender & vanilla bean dryer sheets love the wall hanging and Sox bundles so many great ideas thanks for sharing stay safe Linda 💙👍🏾
I’ve been wanting to try soap nuts. I’m shocked at how many people still use products with fragrance with how bad the chemicals are and that it’s not regulated.

Also need to protect my bras lol I’ve been a huge fan of your moms videos. I found her looking for Christmas decorations ideas. Then I found you. Looking forward to more videos. Stay safe and healthy
Great tips Sharrah! I will try that Tyler laundry detergent because I love musky smells vs. Floral. I usually use all free and clear detergent so no scent. The wool balls are genius and the racks for drying. I will also start washing my machine!
I do love the Tyler Diva glamorous wash - can only afford this for linens, not all laundry. Also, just tried and love Method laundry detergent - ginger mango fragrance!!!!
I had no idea that dawn dishes soap would work for tough stains on clothes! Genius 🥰 no issues in the drier? I would think it would bubble out like the dishwasher 😩☺️ thank you! 🌷🌷🌷
No issues there, been doing it or years. You don't need much, just cover the stain if need be and I add a couple of squirts in with my detergent..stay safe.
Hello, thank you it was a great video. I wanted to ask you if you know how to remove the smell of smoke from your clothes that have been in a fire? My house burn down last week and I was able to salvage my late wife's clothes I don't want to town them out, they have sentimental value. Thank you so much.
eos natural laundry soap in lavender or magnolia. I add vinegar for a natural fabric softener and use wool dryer balls with a few drops of essential oil. I hang up almost all my laundry to air dry.
I'll probably get a lot of questions about this, so here is the amazing peel and stick subway backsplash in my laundry room: bit.ly/2MvsMbQ It is such an amazing product, I'm obsessed! Don't forget to comment below which brand of detergent you use too 😘

g quin don’t be annoying
Sharrah with the bun and glasses!! Sooo cute, I can’t! 🤓😍
Just an FYI, hydrogen peroxide removes ALLLLLLLL stains. Trust me. Learned this working in the medical field lol!
Thanks for the tip.
Same with baking soda 😊
So does fire
I learned that going through chemo when I was a kid! Gets blood out well! And it was neat to see the blood stain bubble!🤕🩸👩🏻🦲💉🎗😷
I have gallons of hydrogen peroxide in our laundry room.. I learned that trick from a fellow patient on dialysis.
Lol at Tyler waving in the reflection of the washer/dryer at 4:25 😂😂
This is actually one of your best video posts. really natural, fun and informative
I want to thank you for the tip regarding using the dish liquid. Rebecca's, I just want you to know how much I value and appreciate you. Your videos have taught me so much!
I love your glasses and I love how you call it "duck dawn"! :D
i love this! i went and bought everything 😍 one question though, the essential oils on the wool balls.. will they stain clothes?
This was helpful Sharrah, Tyler and Scout, thank you.
LOL...

vinegar, baking soda, soap nuts. all natural, all the time.
Jules Wallace what are soap nuts?🧐
I’ve been wanting to try soap nuts. I’m shocked at how many people still use products with fragrance with how bad the chemicals are and that it’s not regulated.
Be careful with vinegar! It can eat into rubber gaskets and plastics!
@@donnawojdacz6969 Right, but nobody is careful with nasty chemicals that can eat into the skin and literally trash the life in the oceans and such...

So many helpful suggestions. Thank you! I’ll have to try some of these
Where did you get the hang up thing that you put the air dry clothes on? also the dryer balls? Great tips
