Halo 3, the best game of the franchise and one of the best games ever made.
+Tigo625 imho, good game, but weakest in the main (first) trilogy. it really had its epic, great moments and in many ways WAS the most polished game in the trilogy, but at the same time, it failed to impress me like Halo: CE and Halo 2 did....but maybe I just had way too high expectations. And trust me when I say this, no other game in history got me as hyped as Halo 3 did. Overall I have very mixed emotions about Halo 3, it was good, but I wish it had been so much better and completely fullfilled my expectations, which it didnt do.
Balnazzardi Honestly, I think Halo 3's campaign was kinda weak, when compared to Halo CE (I like Halo 2's campaign too, but I think it's at the same level as 3's). But the graphics, gameplay and multiplayer of Halo 3 are all too lovely, it just is a great game.
Speaking of campaigns, my favorite will always be Halo CE's.
Tigo625 ye, same CE is my favorite as well....though I think Halo 2 comes close to it, thanks to the MP, I think that game has the best maps, and Halo 3 imo was the weakest in both aspects, its campaign wasnt as strong as CE and its MP maps were not as great as in Halo 2.
Still a good game, but ye I really expected lot better from it, especially from the campaign, so ye....there are some aspects I really love about Halo 3, but in so many others it just failed to fullfill the huge expectations. And I quess that's why after Halo 3, I lost most of my interest in Halo, with the exception of Spartan Assault, I havent really played or finished any Halo game since.
I mean Im still gonna play them, but after Halo 3, the franchise kind of went from one that I really had hyped to just one other franchise among countless of others.
Balnazzardi As someone who has finished Halo 4 and Reach, I tell you, I got really disappointed. I think that if you don't want your faith in halo to be destroyed, you shouldn't play these games (Reach has a good forge mode tho).
I don't know, Halo CE may be my favorite overall. I think 3 was the best, but CE brings me a bunch of nostalgia because I used to play it when I was a kid.
Tigo625 ye well Im going to give them a try some day, but I really dont expect much from them (or from any other Halo game) at this point.

Halo 3 had its time, while we replay it's music. No one will take our beloved, favorite memorys of our childhood
This was a memorable moment. I don't how, but by some miracle, I managed to get through that Warthog run with no deaths on legendary. It was ridiculously epic... just the whole of it all.
The beginning and end always get to me... I love this game so much
the greatest journey i've ever been on... was starting my fight on halo reach, pushing through on halo CE, 2, and ODST, and finishing the fight on halo 3. thanks for the memories, bungie.
So true. There's something amazing about this game, involving me like no other game does. It gave me something that was missing in my life. Halo is the best game ever!

the last level always makes me think about all the poor souls that were lost in that war, i know its a game but just imagine it, its pretty amazing.
I loved the warthog run so much! Especially the part where ur going thru the first tunnel- if you go down the middle pathway, it will take you to an under-part of the tunnel (like a big catwalk thingie), and then you hit this small ramp which launches you in the air thru a pillar of fire!
That comment. I'm sorry if I get teary eyed but that is definitely the most well thought out carefully planned and mutually entertaining comment in UA-cam history.
I'm sure you spent hours of your time thinking up such a meaningful and pleasing comment just so that we could enjoy reading it.

The beginning part is so sad but my life will never forget the fight.
i remember driving the warthog through the ship at the end of halo 1 and see the ring explode to this music... the most epic moment in gaming ever

I honestly don't know how anyone could hate on the halo universe in any way. its beautifully made, well thought out, and perfectly knit together. Mind boggling to think that people could find fault with it.
Halo 3 is my favorite game ever it's a masterpiece! And it also has such amazing epic music it's awesome!
Thank you for reminding everyone of that. Now let me remind you that the reason people hate on it isn't because of the game itself, but because of the people who like to tell EVERYONE that the game is perfect all the time when anyone whose actually played and liked it already knows that.

It's finished.
I did with a few friends. Time of our lives. Anniversary, 2, 3, ODST, and then Reach over one kickass weekend.
It's fine in the end because honestly I share your views on halo. It's just always good to understand that people who are like that, already know what's so great about halo.
And yeah, definitely money well spent.

you know when Johnson says that he actually references the poem Cortana mentions you know the one that says "This is the way the world ends" the end of the poem says "Out with a bang? no out with a whimper." So Johnson basically wanted the exact opposite of the poem

@CliffDiverBOA It was kind of implied that as long as a single Flood lifeform exists, the Gravemind, or at least its consciousness, still exists as well. So yes, the Gravemind on the Ark was destroyed, but it could easily be replaced, especially considering the fact that there were still a few rings left... I imagine there might be a number of Flood organisms in god-knows-what kind of laboratories there...

Guys at the end of halo 3 master chiefs ship goes to reach. at the end of reach when you see noble six's helm after 30 years or so, you will see a ship crashed at the left of the helm!
no if you read the books u will learn how johnson made it off halo without being infected by the flood. its pretty amazing. its revealed in the thrid book "first Strike"

The final warthog run is the most manly thing i have ever seen. There you are riding across squares that erupt into molten lava at a moments notice. jumping off big ramps, litterally jumping over laser equiped deathbots fighting zombies and did i mention everything behind you is collapsing and then this music is playing. DOES ANYONE DISSAGREE?
Even though I don't play true halo and play the demo on my computer it's still an awesome game.

True, but the three points he made about why he likes Halo so much are all present in Mass Effect: Deep story, good characters ("friendship"), and good music.

yeah I know! i thought i was the only one that enjoyed Halo 2's story, it provided a more in depth look at the convenant (though limited) and the arbiter. I wish the could have done more with Halo 3 because there was alot the could have done. (I mean what about the ghosts of Onyx, i thought there would be a mention of that sentinel planet since it is linked to the activation of the ark but alas it wasn't there). I hope Halo 3 ODST makes up for this by adding more story.
Of course he'll be back. Halo 3: Recon is going to be a prequel.

Don't know why it always has to be a choice between Halo and COD. Personally, I think they're the two best gaming franchises out there, and I enjoy both. Plus, most people don't realize that COD actually has a pretty incredible soundtrack itself. Hans Zimmer shredded in MW2.

with the slip space rupture he could be anywhere inbetween at any time. look at it as he when't through time and space... he just was interupted. he could be on an unknown planet at an unknown time... past or future... if another game was made it couldnt be called halo because there are none, there, and they are not a problem for him anymore.
