What a great spiritual leader ! I have never heard nor seen this kind of golden spiritual sincerity. This is a wonderful and amazing manifestation of great leadership quality. It is marvellous in my eyes !
Although I am not a member of Deeper Life Bible Church, I know convincingly that the Church or Body of Christ is one, hence my unfeigned and pure comment.
Heavenly Father and GoD ,continue to bless and up hold Pastor Kumuyi with You Bible Truth. In Jesus Name...Amen

Honestly there's a whole lot of "dos" and "don'ts" in Deeper life and I have always entertained this believe that those following our G. S are not where he is both in wisdom and understanding.
They misapply his intentions and are not reading like him.
Even at age 50, I shed tears of joy because this message shows genuine leadership in Pst Kumuyi. He really wanted to see us making heaven together and with this message I am in love with Deeper life again..."Don't major in minor" what a life transforming truth from the horse's mouth. Thank you sir.

Deeper life is a great church, the only problem is that some leaders over flog minors(church principles) over majors (God's commandment).. I have heard Gs correcting this error over and over again but some leaders are just so fanatical..this is why we have lost so many youths to redeem and the likes..
they are destroying the the hard labour of G.S

this is a deep interpolation of the word and by setting things right.
It is sad to know that some of our "so call" leaders are still behaving like this till date. I remember before I got married last April, how the National Overseer of my nation almost ruined that good day for my wife. Since I was out of the country. He made that poor girl cry for reasons best known to him. How can a Regional Pastor (the region where this sister was) approve a wedding gown in the presence of his wife and the NO calls her to travel from her Region to his National Office only to say the Dress wasn't good. The same design that other DCLM Members have used mostly in Nigeria! And then he was quick to say that she went and gave her gown to be sawn by an unbelieving tailor. I was like... Wow! Note that this is the same lady who has always handled my wife's sewing for years and even till date. The pastor further insisted that she should go back to another region, buy another material for an old ma in the church to sew her a gown else he won't attend the wedding (remember that was another cost all together). My wife accepted in tears and all efforts to make him change his mind failed couple with the hurtful things that he said to her.
My people, she wore that dress and trust me, it was by far the WORST dress I have ever seen on any bride in this age and time in Deeper Life. Our friends, colleagues including church members who attended our wedding were so disappointed with her outfit. Till date, we have not printed a single wedding pic just cuz of that.
That was just 1 'beef'. He, before the whole gown issue, insisted that we should print our wedding programmes from a particular printing house in the country. Now it has become like a law! If u want to get married, he starts preaching that sermon to you.
Some church leaders should stop all this double standards when it comes to marriage and leave people have a good memory after marriage. When I think about what we went through and more, I can type for hours without expressing myself fully...
God help His church and Ministers!
My brother, I know it's very hurtful! Please, since the GS has apologised and he is not everywhere to know what some of our leaders are doing, please forgive them. The important thing is that you finally married your beautiful wife. God bless you indeed.
God bless you my brother. My plea is that it shouldn't repeat itself with the younger generation. Some leaders also need to be apologetic mostly when they have willfully acted wrongly.
Bro you should have done like I did nah. Quietly take your wife out of the church and get married and come back. Nonsense. I just hope they heard the GS. BUt I think old habits die hard. I had seen this coming a long time ago and said to myself that I was not going to make the only occasion I have in life to be happy ruined by whosoever. I saw my sisters go through untold pain and humiliations and said to myself " I cannot fit". In DLBC it has become an outright law that the pains they make you go through are for your own good. Sheggeh!!!!!!
I am telling you grandfr. It is such a pity that those who are put to look over God's people are instead there to destroy it cuz of selfish desires. I grew up with that mentality that I won't get married in Deeper Life cuz of the kind of things I saw and I was working towards that... God just had another plans all together.
Anyway, it has passed but trust me, I will NEVER forget the experience. I still ask myself this question; Why will a National Overseer and not his wife be the one to inspect a sisters dress? And we have women leaders at various regions and districts. And those women are in the Marriage Committee!!!! People are just chasing shadows.

my question is this my wife got married and also got divorced and after a long time she got born again but before then her former husband also married another wife then after her conversion our pastor told her go and make right your marriage but getting the former husband's house the man said he don't want her again and when she came back our pastor told her that she can marry and she is a Good sister so based on what our pastor said I decided to marry her. Sir please tell me something thant you Sir

Judson Wesley If you want to do what is right before God, read the Bible. When will the GS get this information? Until Christ comes and then it will be too late? Some things maybe be difficult to deal with but we all have to break every form of idols in our hearts and do what is right before God.
For example, Abraham did not want to send Hagar away when Sarah told him to but when God told Abraham to send Hagar and the child away, he did so. If we want to serve God, we need to put away our emotions and feelings. God knows best and his words are the best.
I don't know the details about the marriage and I don't want to know but this is what Christ said in the book of Matthews- he that puts away his wife causeth her to commit adultery. For from the beginning it is one man one wife and what God has joined together let no man put assunder. Except the woman's husband is dead then she is free to remarry as Paul the apostle said in the book of Corinthians. I repeat, if you want to please God, let go of your feelings, emotions and all other things that may stand in the way of pleasing God.
