Hi Juliet. Could you kindly give your opinion on the 2023 1,5 XR Auto Urban Cruiser. Do you think the old 1500 engine is powerful enough for the heavier body?
I really wish this car had at least an extra gear or two in automatic for the open road, then this would be perfect. I guess I will have to pay more for the normal Vitara withe less ground clearance then
Oh god i thought Toyota only sells this urban cruiser a rebadged car from Maruti Suzuki called Vitara Brezza only in india market but now began to sell globally
Toyota resold BMW, Daihatsu, Subaru, now Suzuki and use Mazda V6 in bigger SUV's now. Isuzu used to build Diesel engines for them in Hokkaido. Toyota is just a reseller.
Since Rebadger sucks at after sales service and doesn't always go right, as per my 23 own case studies, I would rather buy the original brand and not the badge bruiser. Big brand is banned from wherever I set my foot. Small brand deserves more love anyways.
Mark my words: Toyota will sell five times more than the Suz -badge and all the Toy sheeple will have long rationalisations of why they bought the better vehicle.
Toyota will sell more because their dealer network is so much bigger. I for one prefer the grill of the Suzuki but would get the Toyota because there is no Suzuki dealer in my town.
Another manipulation by one of the giants in the motor market! Why don't Toyota release their version 1st and then Suzuki thereafter. Then this manipulation of product and price would be more obvious than the current situation. To say that it's fair to buy a Suzuki for this price and in the same breath say it's likewise for Toyota is a joke. Does badging a Toyota product really cost R5000-00? It's a insult to faithful buyers to continue this move by Toyota and Suzuki, 2nd time around.

In India Toyota gives a better warranty and service experience compared to Suzuki and hence my vote for Toyota..

Its name says Urban. That doesn't mean open road. Yes, Suzuki loves shorter gears, as their engines then don't labour and last forever and a day.

A few Suzuki dealers will give you a “complimentary” warranty / service extension to match that of the Toyota.
Its actually the other way around. Suzuki's got the longer service plan.
This car's inside feels even more plastic to me compared to the Kiger. And then the Kiger's shape is just awesome
How can the Brezza feel cramped with baby seat but not in the urban cruiser as they meant to be the same car???
