Crazy take ngl. I haven't been watching the show so I've been getting the drama reviews. You also go into more detail about the show in such a short amount of time than others I've been seeing. Very interested in seeing what else you've reviewed
Hey, thank you. That is sort of my plan if I have one. You don’t need to watch it. So if I can boil things down in 10 minutes and make you chuckle, maybe once, mission accomplished. Cheers!
I sense something. A presence I've not felt since......The Parent Trap?
Lol, exactly. Maybe Lucasfilm has beat me down so much with stupidity I’m starting to accept it? I’ve lowered the bar, and now I’m just trying not to throw up when I eat my dinner.
I've got to hand it to them with this episode. I thought the music was spot on. Classic moody, tempestuous orchestral vibes throughout was a great fit.
Yeah, I agree, whoever is doing the music is doing a decent job. I’m not saying this is great, but it’s getting better. Have a great weekend.
I had the same feeling. The first time I feel something for the protagonist.I really liked the dark side perspective.
Yeah, I’m definitely on Team Smilo. I hope they can improve on the quality in the last two episodes. This might not end up being too bad. I appreciate you checking in.
Hey man, they subverted our expectations. Mr. Snifferoo did not end up outing Mae, and Sol figured it out on his own. My only question is what the point of this creature even is then lol. Did anyone else notice how his sounds changed entirely from the inhale shrieks to more traditional rodent sounds?
I agree. The last two episodes have definitely “sucked” me in. I hate that Star Wars gives me such a roller coaster of emotions 😭😂
Hey, sometimes the show just sucks and sometimes it sucks me in, lol. This actor, Manny, he’s playing a character that’s very different and somewhat refreshing in my opinion. I felt like finally the season started. If they can keep things going in the last two episodes, this might not actually be a complete disaster. #teamsmilo
the location is likely beldemnic, not ahch-to. beldemnic is at the beginning of the darth plagueis novel, and is a rocky island planet where plagueis and his master tenebrous are mining the veins of cortosis.
Jeff, you’re right. That’s exactly where they are. It’s been a few years since I’ve read that novel. Shame on me. Thanks for keeping me on point.
@@EvrydayErik i only read it for the first time recently to prep for the acolyte or i would have thought it was ahch-to myself.
I can’t wait for Smilo Ren and Osha’s new movie Fifty Shades of Red 🍷😳
Lol, thank God she didn’t go skinny-dipping with Smilo Ren. The possibilities. That said, I am ready for an R-rated Star Wars, not with these actors though.
oh it was a whip saber, SMH!
Yeah, I’m not a fan of that whip saber. It was cute for a comic book, but I’m not into it.
Manny Jacinto is really good in the series. I liked him already in THE GOOD PLACE where he played a total goofball. It all depends on the last two episodes. Let's just forget Episode 3. Nice to hear, when Erik has something good to say. 😉
Well, I think I’ve lowered my standards. If I can eat my dinner and watch the show without throwing up, it’s a good thing. I think Manny is doing a good job and definitely turned the show around, a little.
Hey Double E! I'm starting to feel bad that your sacrificing your time to watch this dumpster fire on our behalf. But, I do appreciate it and look forward to your reviews on shows and movies. I have yet to watch any of the "Crapolyte" and look forward every week to your channel review. Please setup a "Buy me Coffee" account and I would happily donate to you, "ya know, for the effort". ( to quote Bill Murray from Caddyshack 😂)
I appreciate you stopping by for my recaps. Yeah , don’t watch Crapolyte. But it was a little better this week. I sit in my chair and eat my dinner anyway, so it’s not too much trouble to watch this for 30 minutes a week. My goal is to save you about 20 minutes a week. I’ll look into that. Buy me a coffee thing. Have a great holiday!
Definitely more cinematic… why aren’t all episodes?
Yeah, I took a little peek at who directed the past episodes. I couldn’t find another episode directed by Caulpepper. We need more call pepper directing Disney+ Star Wars. She can make chicken soup out of chicken crap.
I also liked the Quimir and Osha scenes. Some You Tubers said he was being too nice, but they missed the point, he is not being nice, he is being manipulative. He allows her to do stuff because he is so not threatened by her. He is winning her to his side. Palpatine was very nice to Anakin when he was grooming him in Revenge of the Sith. He flattered him a lot. The actor is Manny Jacinto and I think this would be a breakout role for him if the writing was better in this show overall.
Sol is revealing his inner darkness and conflict. I think he is taking Mae back to Brendok to explain the past to her, so next week is the flashback. It still doesn't explain why Sol didn't know it was Mae immediately or how he knows Osha is no longer on the planet, that she was taken away by Smilo. I did like this episode in spite of the plot holes.
I agree that this could be a breakout role for the Smilo Ren actor. The show would’ve benefited from him showing up sooner. Everything about this weeks episode was better. I get it that in the end he is manipulating Osha, but he’s a good salesman for the Darkside. Cheers!
I've got to hand it to them with this episode. I thought the music was spot on. Classic moody, tempestuous orchestral vibes throughout was a great fit.
I thought Jedi can sense someone's presence but Sol can't even recognize Mae that next to him.🤣
Lol, He’s a little slow. They have to have that gerbil guy do some thing.🤷♂️
@@EvrydayErik You also mentioned he was getting wrapped up in his emotions after his team was wiped so there's a factor
