      It's more flexible, but also he's good at motion graphics in general, he's going to make it look easy. He can definitely hit the ground running. Anyone already doing great things in other software, should be able to transfer the skill set over quite nicely.

    This was one of the best put-together tutorials I've seen for DR nodes. Being new to editing, the nodes were always a daunting part of the software that I was intimidated by; this helped push me over that fear. Thanks for the simple and straight-to-the-point piece on DR motion graphics! I subscribed to see what else DR content you come up with!

    This is crazy, earlier this week I was trying to challenge myself by following along with one of your after effects motion graphics tutorials but doing it in fusion instead, and now you've started doing fusion. Really excited to see you do more of this.

    YES! I learned so much from your After Effects tutorials. I switched over from Premiere Pro and After Effects. I've been able to use Fusion to remake the motion graphics I created in After Effects. I continued watching your tutorials for ideas, then translated those effects in Fusion. So, it's great that you'll be doing tutorials on Fusion. I'm looking forward to it.

    Yes please do more DR tutorials. Your ideas carry over nicely. Fusion is just a new tool, it's flexible to be sure. But you already know how to plan out and animate the motion graphics. That's the largest part, that people tend to discount.

    Yes, more Davinci Resolve tutorials, please! Perhaps take some of your most popular AE tutorials and show us how to do those projects in Resolve? I wouldn't mind a few color grading tutorials, either!
    While I have a Studio license that was bundled with my video camera, the very capable free version might help those just starting out and that can't yet justify the monthly cost for CC.

    That was great. Nice one dude. I'm sure that will work in the free version of Resolve as well. In terms of requests, it would be cool to know how to add overlays quickly and efficiently for highlighting content below - ie. putting a box around something or an arrow or a highlighter. These things are super simple but the challenge is to make it quick, painless, and reusable. So when you're making tutorials or infographics, you can whip them out real quick to create rich presentations. If it takes too long or it's clunky, you'd be less likely to sprinkle them everywhere in your presentations.

    • @Photovintageguy
      @Photovintageguy Рік тому +1

      The software is very flexible, there are many ways to do the same thing. His technique is not the most efficient. At first. People just kinda brainstorm, then later they learn all the shortcuts and then incorporate them into the daily workflow. Still quite amazing to watch. Fusion is way more flexible, but that also means you can have many paths to the same or similar result. It doesn't always turn out to be the shortest path. For people that do fusion tutorials it's almost an arns race, to do the most with the least moves. Node based is almost like a visual version of writing code. Just watching looks complicated. Try following along with this or something simpler. Fusion can get very advanced, but nothing he's doing is particularly complicated. Just follow along and actually use the nodes, it immediately makes way more sense. It's definitely a hands on learning experience. It mostly just looks alien, but once you set a few up like a logo set it the weirdness goes away. Building a simple project using nodes doesn't make you a master. But you won't be afraid of nodes or even be confused. Finds a simple text tutorial, then just follow dumbly, like a robot. Within a few minutes you see what's going on, just by working with them.

  • @SebastianFriedrichVisuals
    @SebastianFriedrichVisuals 2 роки тому +3

    Great tutorial! However, I have one suggestion (to make this more easy to use) - for example, if I have a shorter text or a longer text, I always have to manually adjust the length of the yellow background and that's not efficient. You could (on the text node) go to the "Shading menu" and then under shading, select element #2 and activate it. This'll give you the option to create a Background for each individual letter, each individual word or the whole text. If you set this to "whole text" no matter if you shorten the text or make it longer, the background will automatically adjust according to the text. And another tip: publish your polygon points and make an expression from the polygon position to the textbox position so they will automatically adjust with the textbox! Hope it's understandable what I'm trying to say! :)
    Anyways, great tutorial! :)
