The way he phrase it is like "We'll meet each other again anyway"(probably saying that they will meet again at work the next day again), and hence strongly suggesting that there's no need to go out together with them

Kakihara wasn't exactly a fluent Japanese speaker at that time even though he was Japanese. He grew up in Germany and only went back to Japan to visit his family sometimes so he didn't use much Japanese when he grew up. He learned Japanese through manga and anime because he wanted to be a seiyuu so when he started becoming one, his Japanese skills were still a bit rusty so I guess that's why he accidentally used a different term than what he was thinking he said lol.

In Japanese Senpai-Kouhai culture, newbie(kouhai) should have more humility than veterans. His quote sounded like he had conviction that he would get a lot of roles of characters enough to see Sakurai in other recordings soon. it sounded he is overly proud for a newbie.
