Thank you SOOOO much. I was hoping someone did a video comparison of these two floatation devices. Thanks for being so thorough with the testing and including the landing, wind resistance, and downward views. I was already leaning toward the orange one (Christmas Ornaments) ;-) and you sold me on it. Thanks again!!!
Thank you for a comprehensive review. I want fly in a conservation area, where flight permission is only allowed if you can prove that your drone won’t become rubbish at the bottom of the ocean and a danger to wildlife. The Christmas tree balls seem to be the best solution that I can find and you confirmed it.
Great job making this video. I’m surprised how well it still flew. I’ve still held off on a drone because I know it will dunk eventually. The ornaments look like the better option. That deployment ballon option you showed definitely isn’t an option.
... yeah so far the Christmas Ornaments seem to be the best bet. Least wind resistances and you can swap out batteries quickly. The DJI Care Refresh plan can’t be beat, two full placements in one year and only $79 deductible, the only catch is you have to return the old one.
Check out another video about the Christmas tree bulbs. He was testing it in a pool and the back one came off yours had the Velcro which I believe is the fix. Nice video.
Hey chris I watch your videos as I watch lot of fishing channels I came across a channel I thought it was you he could be your twin the channel is creek fishing adventures keep up the good videos thanks
Informative video. Thanks! I'm certainly not a fan of the pool noodle style. Way too much drag. I'm actually watching this video and others observing flight characteristics because I want to design my own. Pontoon Style, but much more streamlined both in terms of forward flight and thrust from the propellers.
@@SaltyStrikes I don't get too nervous around Open Water, rivers on the other hand make me nervous. Small limbs and twigs that may not have leaves on them prove difficult to see. And old fishing line hanging from said limbs have put a drone of mine in the drink.

WOW! GOOD VIDEO !
… tried to be fair and thorough 👍

Can the ball floaters fit the Mavic 3?
… 🤷♂️ I have no idea. Check the link in the description area.

Nice video, safe flying! Cool for pools idk about a lake lol
... thanks, like I said, I don’t ever plan to land this thing in water, just for emergencies.

… must have for peace of mind when flying over water, wish I knew about them before I lost my first two drones 😂

Or 3 drones

It's more fun flying over water....Especially Salt Water.....It's either sink or swim....or maybe cut bait.....LOL!!
.... it weird because I just have seen three fishing channels lose there drone in the water and couldn’t recover them. Hope this helps someone.

are you actually special needs?
Why in d hell don't DJI just add some Styrofoam in the drone??? Been searching for 3 days now 😠😡🤬😤😫
… these seem to work pretty well, haven’t had any issues since.
Go ahead..... stress those motors and ruin your drone ! 😅
Working perfectly for 3 years now, zero issues.
