Radio Chatter From Spaceship Bridge & Alien Planet Rain. Sci-Fi Ambiance for Sleep, Study, Relaxing

- Scene Story: We continue to scan the surface from the air. The teams set out for the ancient artifact we found. Stress signals from Artifact are a bit vague due to the storm. We may have hit the lottery. It is quite comfortable to come to such missions with a big ship.

I like to name them and pretend they are my mission buddies and It’s my turn to sleep while they are doing field operations on the planet.
For some reason this is my favorite type of night ambience to sleep to, radio chatter.
Congratulations on creating this scene, it is alien but heartwarming at the same time. I think it is because when outside is hostlie but you are in a small safe space, it feels very natural. So nice!
That's the atmosphere I wanted to capture. I'm glad this video make you feel that.
That's why Valheim is so fun.... Lol.
You're welcome for your new addiction if you've not played it yet.
This ambience really is the sci-fi tech equivalent of sitting by a fire in a cabin, on a stormy night.
Valheim is brilliant for this too; perhaps the best version in a computer game.
Yes, that is why I want to build my own van and travel north America I always related that fantasy to a spaceship
The chatter takes me back to evenings at my patrol base in Iraq and feeling safe while hearing friendlies talk calmly on the radio. If they were calm, things were ok. Only thing missing is the steady knock of a HMMWV engine.
I'm glad you like mate. Cheers :)
Or sat in the Ops room on night shift hearing the radio chatter of the guys out on the ground, generally was fairly quiet and relaxing to hear in the background, we'd take it in turns shutting our eyes, at least until something kicked off and we had to react.

As a teenager I enjoyed a lighthearted sci-fi adventure by James Schmitz called "The Witches of Karres," and one of my favorite scenes was one in which the protagonists had landed their ship on an undeveloped planet and were simply sitting in the control room listening to the sound of rain falling on the hull. This has been great for me to have in the background when I'm on a reading binge. It's Friday evening and everyone is out. It was supposed to be a routine trip back-and-forth to pick up the last cargo before the weekend starts. You are three hours away from the base with just enough resources to return.
Kind of reminds me being on radio watch when I was in the army in the late 80's. Sitting in the back of M-113 late at night listening to radio chatter while searching in bottom of MRE for something sweet to eat.
Just landed on an unknown planet. No idea if the rain would melt your skin or not. Nothing but the sleek futuristic metal integrity of your hull keeping you from dying on this random planet. Man I wish I could explore the stars.
Ive always wanted to travel to other planets.... the space chatter (+) sleet or rain helps me imagine it and it looks warm and cozy in that cockpit

I'm going into aviation as a career and have been listening to a lot of similar radio chatter to get used to it. I'm also a life-long sci-fi fan, so this is exactly the kind of stuff I need to doze off to. Hats off to ya, thanks for the perfect ambience :3

Great Chatter for SCI Fi games! Thanks 😊
i put this on when playing starfield, makes it super immersive and soothing :) great video!
Few things are as comforting as being inside and dry while it's raining. It's an instinctual thing, I believe; predators tend to not hunt in the rain as it messes with scent and hearing, and humans with ill intent also tend to want to be dry. Hearing other people talk in calm voices helps as well, because you know someone is keeping watch and as long as they're not freaked out it's safe.
I'm glad you like mate. Cheers :)
This is fascinating. I really struggle with sleep. I found the fact that I could hear the words being spoken on radio distracting. I'd prefer a version without the chatter, or with chatter that is noise rather than actual words.

I spent many years listening and participating in this chatter…can’t wait to let my kids see what I used to do, thank you!

Have this in the background when you are playing some sort of sci-fi/techy/futurish/industrialy game e.g. Factorio, Dyson Sphere, KSP, Stellaris, Rimworld,ONI etc.
This stuff is the chefs kiss ambient sounds for those sort of games slow burn sci-fi games, love it.
I like this ambiance because it is unique.
Nice looking spaceship cockpit. 👍

i love the sounds its so soothing❤❤❤
What i love is the volume of the radio chatter dipping in and out could be seen as a weak signal or putting you in the pov of someone drifting off half awake in a ship the words becoming an unintelligible mumble so repetitive and mundane to the senses you almost stop hearing it all together only the odd word as you dip in and out of conciseness
Very impressive work!!!
I'm glad you like. Thank you for your generous support mate. Cheers :)
There's something comforting about the orange glow of the ships lights. The mixture of rain with slick barren rock devoid of any sign of flora or fauna captures the sense of an alien world while still feeling welcoming.
Remember, just because there's no sign of any flora or fauna, doesn't mean it isn't there. Lichens bloom on the tops of the rocks, colonies of protozoa breed and evolve in the microcosm of a puddle, a million different microscopic specks of life drink in the rain, blissfully unaware of your presence or what it means. Whether you succeed or fail, they carry on the same as they have for the last ten thousand years, just the same for ten thousand more.
Orange is a relaxing color. It releases your serotonin as it resembles sundowns.
I like that chair and the windows. It makes me feel cozy 🤗

4) Our Commanding Officer wasn't a direct descendant of the world's WORST kamikaze pilot.
5) Our Navigator wasn't Commander Jim "Wrongway" Noonan.
6) We had ANY cook but "Typhoid Mary".
7) The ship's dentist wasn't also a blacksmith.
8) The screen doors outside the airlock.
9) Instead of depleted uranium for the railguns, they sent us 10,000 toilet plungers.
10) Not one scrap of toilet paper aboard. Just these three seashells....🤔

They mostly come out at night, mostly !
Reminds me of overnight radio 'watch', (I know radio, watch. But its the Army). I'd sit in the M1 Abrams Tank's Commander Chair and try not to fall asleep. Or, I'd recline on top of the tank with a long radio cord. I was on the captain's tank, so I would call the platoons for radio checks every 30 minutes or so.

Amazing!!! we need these sounds in star citizen, while landed i sometimes just stare out of my ship, and sounds like these will complete the experience.
Now This I vibe with~ I like that there's no heavy bass thrumming/humming sound in the background like there often is with the usual sci-fi/spaceship ambience. Those always make me anxious for some reason. But this is just very chill and relaxing.

This is really cool. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't half expecting a jump scare - especially when the radio chatter said something about tracking something they found. You should totally do an Aliens-themed one, outside of Hadley's Hope on LV426. Maybe some colonial marine chatter and pulse rifle-gunfire randomly. That'd be oddly soothing to me, no clue why lol
