Ty for this video. This is exactly the problem I have right now. Lately I have been forcing trades everyday because I am attached to the outcome of a winning trade everyday. This has caused me to lose sight on the process of developing good trading habits. I started trading impulsively, and took trades that didn't meet the criteria. I will focus more on the process of the trade, instead of the outcome.

I was definitely attached to having a green day, but the challenging part of that was me learning that days have their own personality. It is not necessarily the case that if you have positive expected value in backtesting a few trades per day, that trading more than that will net you more EVERY day.
If you trade more on weaker days (trying to get back to green), but stop trading early on strong days after getting a win or two... the numbers don't work, PLUS you're setting yourself up for failure if that stress is allowed to compound, because it only takes ONE day of you getting exhausted digging a deep hole and deciding "fuck it I'm going to DCA, size up, martingale etc.", in order to blow up.
So you have to commit to the sustainable approach in advance, and always know when to walk away, and be okay with that, even if you miss a huge play sometimes for doing so.

It's very hard not to think about p&l, specially when trading micros...I need a lot of mental training and the ability to look at a chart w/o a bias...trade what the mrkt is telling you...
