One review wrote that this was like "'Death Becomes Her' if it was directed by David Cronenberg" and I've never been sold faster.
I'm glad to hear that Dennis Quaid is good and weird in this. He's one of my favorite underrated actors and I love seeing him in movies. Good, bad, and freaking bizarre. I hope this film is number one and three.
It’s cool that 2 very popular 90’s actors are showing up in this. I’ve missed both of them.
Hell yeah. I really wanna see this asap. Hoping it gets a fall festival run in some of my Texan horror fests!!
It's nice to see Demi Moore get a real comeback.
Her name is Cora-lee far-zha
😊
Is that Demi Moore? 😊
Is this film the Titane of this year?
answering either yes or no to that would be a spoiler
What your criteria?
Titane was a little divisive from what I remember. Everyone seems to be loving this one
Considering it's a body-horror/genre film by a female French director who's making her sophomore film on a much more wild scale than her already-bonkers previous film... More or less, yea. The only thing that would confirm it is if it wins the Palme D'Or.
Titane tackles different subjects and in a much less typical manner, from what I can tell.
Sign me up!
So excited for this one
I love to hear this and will watch closely to see the awards attention it will/won't get.
Looks splendid
Great movie, very bold, great vision. It did take from many films and at times felt like a black mirror extended episode, but you can forgive it for that. Needs to be seen at the cinema.
Is Demi Moore a Oscar contender?
No
I'm gonna need that Anora review my guy
Sounds like it will make my top 100
Really looking forward to seeing this - I'm just hoping the body horror is not an orgy of latex, jam, sponge and general cheap looking muppetry (the kind that mars most of Cronenberg's work including The Fly).
That's the one I'm most excited about, can't wait!
Is there a chance this is the “Cannes director pick”
I see Anora or Emilia Perez more likely
Do you think Moore can win Actress at Cannes?
If it doesn't win the palme d'or, it might win best actress or director i think
@@lovenparanoiaUnless it wins the Grand Prix (second prize).
Demi Moore: Oscar nod, for sure. Probable win.
Oooooo, now that has piqued my interest. Can't wait to see it.
where is your emilia perez review
Psh. I’m not a coward. I’ll take my 64 year old parents to see this. 😂
He's cute.
I love the director’s previous movie and have been waiting for her to make another movie. It sounds like she’s 2 for 2.
A24 please pick it up and release it to use asap!
Mubi bought it before it premiered
My life is a shit.
Waiting for Emilia Perez review
Gosh I hated watching this. Felt like 5 hours of gratuitous violence, gore, and disgust with no underlying drama of interest. Paperthin characters. Nothing about this is original. Literally every element I have seen in something else before. Most overrated of Cannes this year imo.
I’m so glad I read your take on it! Thanks for having the courage to post a dissenting view. 🙏🏻
no.
Due to the nature of body horror and shock value, some people will undoubtedly dislike this film.
A nice review, but please learn how not to butcher the director Fargeat's surname.
Yea, the r is silent so it's actually pronounced as "faggot"
it's a proud tradition of this channel to have an absolute rolodex of butchered names lol
@@evienicksexcept when it's Chalamet.
@@antoniodjordjevic9493 That's because everyone knows him
