There should be a rule that the packaging can’t take up more than 20% extra volume than the item.
It’s so damn wasteful and deceptive.
Why you keep commenting many different comments to same video? Couldn't you put all them to the same comment?
@@jaime7658 hello friend!!
I want people to know my name. :D
Funny Daily is interesting channel about shocking, funny, and crazy facts .
@@funnydailyofficial Why are u advertising your channel to me?
Oh but they got to have their fucking money. God i hate capitalism
@@anonymous-sus406 well, let’s start a revolution
I think we should start taking these false products back, demand our money back, and refuse to buy their products until they show what’s honestly in the package.
Based. You should start a petition.
Feel free! But they DO tell you how much is actually in there🤷♀️.
My thoughts exactly. Honestly, I would definitely take it back to the store.
Take them back of you feel you’ve been deliberately deceived. If the store says it says how much a product weighs on the pack, reply by saying that the only true guide you have to what you’re buying is the size of the package. If a box is 12 inches long and it says there’s six chocolates inside, it’s perfectly reasonable to expect that each chocolate will be something approaching two inches long each, not half an inch.
If the store still argues, challenge them why the packaging is so much larger than the product that’s inside.
I went to a "Blueberry Festival" once, and I bought a 9-inch diameter blueberry pie. There were exactly 3 blueberries in the entire pie. For those unfamiliar with them, blueberries are slightly larger than peas.
What else was the pie filled w/?
@@AlmaSpiteful some sort of dark blue sugary gelatinous pie filling. Worse than even when you buy a commercially prepared pie at the store, and picture on the box shows a slice with couple dozen berries visible, but you'll be lucky to find that many in the entire pie. What irritated me the most about it was that the blueberry harvest that year was more abundant than usual.
@@georgeadams1853 Thanks for answering me. HOW. GROSS. No excuse for that!!!
Several of these aren't "deceptive packaging", but rather manufacturing mistakes (like the mint chocolate chip ice cream with no chips, or that Oreo ice cream bar.
2:58 actually the "missing" gum piece location is where the automated machinery grabs the foil and plastic package by the little set of 6 nubs and inserts it into the overwrap sleeve.
Most of the other examples are pure sliminess though.
Minor enough to not be a deception.
Yet still, if they had to pay more for space used they would promptly find a way to fill to 100%.
Couldn’t they do that on the outside?
The chocolate bars at 3:24 was a terrible idea. What were they thinking when they came up with that? Are they trying to get people to get their dogs sick or die?
I'm glad we have a law in germany which says that the packaging must not contain more than 30% air😦 It's not perfect but better than nothing. What some people do to make a little more profit is really unbelievable...
A real in the rear for the SCUBA industry…
they should put a tax on unnecessary large packaging. For environmental reasons maybe. Then we'll see change. Those people are only acting if money goes in or out of their pockets... So let's take out again what they have stuffed in!
why ? so they can charge you for that too . return the product get your money back and don"t buy their product again.
Dude stop sending a trillion comments
"Comparable to the feel and touch of a"

It took me a while to find el problemo LOL
4:30 , smallest line.
Barely legible even on a 19 inch screen.
Thank you. I needed help with that one. Too small for these old eyes.
These items should be returned to store for refund, that'll stop dishonest manufacturers!
Nope. Because they usually supply the shops wholesale.
On the other hand, public quartering done the trick more than once in the past.
The irony of this video talking about deceptive packaging when neither of the pics in the thumbnail are in the video. 😂
Good observation 😂
😂🤣
Maybe that's some sort of meta-message...
That is my biggest youtube pet peeve.
I bought a pumice stone recently, in a box. It used to fill the box, now they are about 1/2 the size in the same box.
I love how the thumbnail image is ironically missing from the video, much like the packaging the video is about.
Quotation Marks are not used for emphasis. Apostrophe S ('s) indicates ownership. It must not be used for plural form.
I blame the word 'videos' but yes, everyone is using an apostrophe for plurals. Drives me crazy. ' Videos' looks fine to me. Never mind as one word is second
There is only one RARE occasion where apostrophes are used when pluralizing, and that's when you need to separate the "s" from what it basically an image or symbol. As in, e.g., "Count the number of i's and t's in the preceding sentence." Or "Check the Internet cables on the PC's in the programming lab." For all other instances that I know of, there is NO apostrophe.
This is why we have laws about this sort of thing in the UK and other countries. It amazes me that the US apparently doesn't.
There should be a law about this flipping packaging
1:00 - The fact that this is Digorno, the people who pride themselves of the fact that their frozen pizzas are supposedly better the the chain stuff, does not surprise me. My preferred brand frozen pizzas had are wrapped in pure plastic so you actually see that you got full toppings all around. At least until COVID hit and and the parent company had to discontinue the product.
You have to be really careful buying bed sheets. They try to sell you polyester disguised as cotton, and polyester is terrible to sleep on, it makes you hot and sweaty. Cotton keeps you cool. You have to read labels really closely. I bought and returned 2 sets of sheets once, because of the labeling. What's so hard about clearly labeling things???
Labeling the stuff correctly would make it harder to cheat you...
That TV stand is simply the hardest of the easiest to assemble. Nothing more easy, except the easier one.
Just more pollution in packaging 😔
They can spend money on all that extra, unnecessary packaging (see fruit & Nut cookies), but they can't put 4 more cookies in the package.
1:33 I mean they are separated that way because it's luxurious or something
I am a guy and I learned many many years ago to look at how many pounds/oz. etc it is before buying. I have a digital scale that reads up to 70 pounds for shipping things and on heavy items, I will weigh them at home after to verify I got what was advertised. I don't fall for the trick a second time. If it is egregious and costs more that $20, I will return it if what it is is too far off from what I expected. In almost all of these, the weight was listed and showed you wouldn't get much. ( the bag of dog food the only exception )
The kitchen scale is meant tell you that whatever it is you're weighing weighs approximately "this much". Duh.
This video should be included in its own list. Neither of the images in the thumbnail are actually included in the video.
Idk, it’s pretty sleazy but I think if you read the package and it said 3.2 oz, how much candy did you really expect? Some of those were pretty bad though, like the cable being about 3in when the picture was of a cable that could have easily been 8-9in.
I can't comment on a great many of these, never having heard of them or seen them (even though I was born in, and have lived in, the USA all of my nearly 70 years), but I can say that over the almost 7 decades of my life, I can count only about a dozen times when something I purchased didn't meet expectations. Unfortunately, most of those disappointments have been in the 21st century, when business practices have become a foul practical joke with dishonesty ruling everything.
Anything with the WallyWorld “Great Value” label is a well known ripoff. Another reason why I no longer patronize any “business” affiliated with the Walton family.
No, the giant tub of peanut butter is delicious and incredibly cheap. A staple in my life! And the BBQ corn chips are cheap and better than Fritoes, but they don't ship to my zip code anymore
3:48 this made me cry
The Power Aid is like half gallon ice cream where some have cut it to 3 pints with the same shaped container. I have not bought any since then. I was told to check margarine tubs to see if they're no longer 1 pound.
Frozen Fruit, when half the bag is Air!
Humanity is so disappointing. No wonder all the billionaires don’t wanna stay on earth.
'Candy' can also be used as a plural form
Packaging probably costs more than the crap inside it.
I agree with the vast majority of these, but in their defense, I could put that TV stand together in under ten minutes. Literally a child could do it. Some people are just helpless.....lol.
I think the point was about the scale on the packaging. Easy/easier/easiest is a sneaky way to set up false expectations. 🤣
This is a great post showing partly, what makes me not give a flying fuck about most businesses having to mandatory close due to the Pandemic.
These packages are like Adopt Me Roblox thumbnails.
CONGRATS ON 70K!!!!!!!!!
its almost like people cant read the weight on the box of chocolate..compare it to price per 100 grams. its really not hard.
I’d be perfectly happy, ecstatic, actually, if the “gum chewing community” would see the injustice of the price of chewing gum, and cancel/strike/stop buying it.
5:48 it didn't say there was 12 flavors. It says 12 bottles. And u got 12 bottles. Thats like saying "here is 12 bottles of ketchup" which only has 1 flavor.....im sure there are others with additives but still.
if a person checks the packaging, it's done by weight not volume,
The beauty cream thing is so annoying and real.
2:49 Flicker Control 50 Hz, at first glance I thought it said "F*cker Control"
5:39 we r just now discovering this? I dont own an iphone and i knew about this......
The toilettpaper task is a real disaster....i'm feeling dumb, after pausing the video and thinking for minutes, which package i would choose....i gave up....who needs toilettpaper...i could buy it at the next shopping trip. My brain cancelled working on the math solution....
Thankfully, there is no longer a Toilet Paper Shortage!
That is not toothpaste, it is Calmoseptine Cream. Why say it is toothpaste when it isn’t? Toothpaste NEVER comes in a box that size.
Physical version if clickbait

I don’t get the bed sheet one…
What is this channel’s problem with captions and kerning?
HD labeling, means nothing
Check out jumbo sized lip balms. Big time hoax. Hardly any balm at all in the jumbo swivel stick.
Labeling a product as "Made In (country name)" is also deceptive!
What' s up with your ' s?
The white chocolate is the BLM version.
What makes me most angry is how wasteful all the extra packaging is

Agreed

A lot of it, especially for high priced small items, is actually to make it harder to steal.
They make an all pink Starburst package.
Got one for my birthday best day ever
YESSS
They used to make an all-chocolate Necco wafers roll. Is this still made?
@@josepherhardt164 haven’t seen those in a while. You can try a retro candy website.
@@lisatrautner9426 Back when I went to high school, late sixties, you saved the chocolate discs until you accumulated a roll's worth and then sold them at a premium. :)
If these con artists spent as much time and money on the quality of their products as they do on unnecessary B.S. packaging, then we'd be getting somewhere.
I just saw a Christmas mug in a store that was "filled" with hard candies. There were literally six pieces on candy taped to the top of tissue in the mug.
Make-up packing is one of the most deceptive.
If even the packing is false advertising, imagine what shit that food has inside? What could we be eating? 🤮🤮🤮
The container at 0:41 reminds me of the candy containers sold by Walmart. The middle is raised higher so there are fewer candies in the container.
Happiness to all 💕
This is what happens when you have crap consumer laws and companies are allowed to do whatever they like. One of the many prices of "freedom".
I wonder how much more product you would get if the packaging was made slightly smaller... gloss-printed packaging can't be cheap.
At 6:53 my family got the same popsicles and they look sooo unlike the box and taste awful
TO the starburst, my bus found the pinks. there was a double pink in every package oppened
Weren’t there laws against wasteful packing?
I like the "FUCKER CONTROL" at 2:50...
I hate the pink starburst.
For two years it’s all I got for Halloween.
I was not happy.
I’m not in Happy Land
Even they trick this too 😵😵 ( 3:35 )
OMG i havent watched the video yet but the cover has already happened to me, BOTH
1:04 I think you got the description wrong.
Meat is bad for you anyway so be glad most of that pizza is somewhat edible.
