According to X's manager blink was one of his favorite bands and X was good friends with Travis (blink's drummer) and even recorded a song together (Pain = Best Friend), so i'm pretty sure they got blink's blessing for this. blink was also one of LiL Peep's favorite bands and influences, he sampled a few blink songs and even covered i miss you and dammit live 😍
