Who are we kidding, these kids don't pay their loans anyway.
💯
When they say help those who in need they mean themselves.
@vodoo child Their mommies and daddies do.
@Vodoo Child Not sure you're from. But here in the United States, normally the "mommies and daddies" take out loans and pay for their little babies to fingerpaint and learn how oppressed they are. Community college is normally where you find the kids who actually care about their education. Go be condescending to someone else.
@Vodoo Child That's true, at least for me. I paid my own student loan debt.
My parents contributed all they could afford when I was in college, but I also had one or more jobs while being a student and I personally paid as much as I could directly to the university while I was a student.
I didn't party during the summers, either -- I worked at jobs in my field of education and would stretch one paycheck to last one whole month to live on and one for rent and the other 2 paychecks each month went directly to my university bursar bill.
I graduated with $40,000 in debt in 1995 and it took me 12 years to pay it off.
If you don't what to pay don't take the loan.
That makes way to much sense
@@gp6314 That would work but we have to change the law first to allow it. As it currently is in many states, especially if loan is back by the government you are not allowed to declare bankruptcy on student loans and it only applies to student loans.
The parents of these children should be jailed for the culpably bad job they did raising their children.
@Darwin Graves Average income in 1973 was $10,500, in 2019 it was $75,500. Typical LeftistLoon... A liar.
@@maverickbowles6 Well we were all quite stupid when we were young as well. I feel bad ( I know feels) screwing over people just as they are starting out trying to make their own way in life, giving them sense that the whole system is against them and just wants to screw them over.

I would like to hear their answers after they are working for 10 years paying taxes to pay for their utopia.
They wont find any job.
Wojtek Czemas it will be a useless job & they’ll complain they’re not paid more
@Dwayne at that point, they will not be paying for their own utopia, they will be paying for other people's utopia that they wanted, and complaining as they are forced to do so.

Not surprised she doesn’t know what saving and investing means
I think that girl is autistic
Or being able to decide what cause they put their money towards like churches, communities, charities, and scientific research. Many people aren't thrilled with the education young adults are receiving at college, and videos on this channel support that view. Why should we force taxpayers to give more money to colleges that are clearly failing to teach our next generation?
I have a mortgage, utilities, car payment, car insurance, phone bill, and I need to feed my kids. Why should I (with no college degree) have to suffer a tax increase that will screw my budget because you feel privileged to an education and assume "I have nothing better to spend my money on"
i had that part also help someone i need sorry but if you can go to college and get a debt your not i need i do agree with that part that people with more money could help people that are i need like homeles but its stil choice of people if the someone with a lot of money wants to safe so hel wil stil have that money 10 years later then go ahead you workt for it enjoy it
Girl at the end actually had a brain “if you keep taxing the rich, nothings gonna change” you’ll make em run or hide their money.
or else theyll say fuk it and stop working and live off the system too. why socialism dont work. everyone becomes a receiver and there arent any givers.
The rich or the 1% own most of everything primarily big business and banks. If you go up on their taxes they will just raise their prices and we will still pay more. The middle class is the correct answer. Yes, the middle class always pays the bill.
@@subzero3116 yea pretty much. People always want to be like oh look at Sweden but I think middle class income in Sweden has like a 60% tax rate. @@FlyingUnosaur It's same here in Finland. I'm 21 years old and have student benefits. I'm working at the same time and can barely live while studying. I fucking hate these commies saying that they only want free education such as in Scandinavia. Everything comes with the price and basically if you earn over 24000€ year, your tax rate is nearly 30%. No you don't. My uncle never went to college and started his own business worth millions. He was just able to put a $100,000 down payment on a house. My brother graduated high school, went to work for him and will inherit his business in just a few years. He could be a millionaire before hes 30.

I'm 24. Went to college at a liberal arts school and got my degree in Mechanical Engineering, I graduated with 10's of thousands in debt. You know what I did? I worked my ass off and put all my extra money away, no partying, no excess spending, living within my means at all times. Paid off all my debt in under 2 years. Now I'm in the process of opening my own company while also working 50 hours a week as an engineer. Not all people my age are like this but it makes me sad that so many are....
I can’t surround myself with these people, plus college is expensive. Going to trade school to learn something actually useful.

1:12 - 'Our society doesn't need money in general'
There you have it everyone, this guy doesn't need money, let's hope he feels that way when he gets a job or needs to buy his hair dye
His idea is to go back to something like barter system, basically remove money all together and use some type of trade system instead. As stupid as he is for thinking that's how world should look going forward, you aren't much brighter when you completely misinterpreted what he was saying. Or you're just one of those ..."Kathy Newman - So you're saying"... garbage humans
@@TheKoxy1995 - "they would receive the things they needed virtually" His words verbatum, not things you WANT but things you NEED. So if you wanted Hair dye or the latest phone or even just a best quality product tough, those are not necessities. Those apply to food, shelter, utilities.
@@lostsoul2508 You are arguing completely different point now. You should also be aware that word need is not used only in its original definition. Have you never heard people say: "I need a better car", "I need to get a haircut",... Jesus man... That's clearly how he's applying it.
@@TheKoxy1995 - He had better be careful with his wording or they can be used against him and my point still stands, he wants to remove money for things that people need, and I have pointed out why that is a flaw, if you cannot keep up that's on you, not me.
@@TheKoxy1995 - Let's stage this out for what you need to understand.
1. He says people don't need money, money being a form of currency used to barter later for things we both need AND want.
2. He says instead people should work and in return get what they need, on paper this would mean people only get what is a necessity not a luxury, doesn't matter the nuance, on paper that is what it would mean.
3. Ergo if he doesn't think society doesn't need money then it doesn't need luxury by his own wording.
The lack of understanding of how things work is scary
Government is laughing all the way to the bank off these fools.
why "work " if everybody get the same for " doing nothing "
Let's go back a few steps and ask this question. Why is a college education so sky high expensive in the first place ? It certainly wasn't always that way.
We need my fellow students to understand that going to a four-year university is NOT the only option for getting an education. There’s community college, 2+2 between community colleges and four-year universities, or you can go straight to work and learn a trade (you get paid for your education if you’ve been hired by a company). Plus you can make real good money from your trade. Our high schools are terrible at making these other options present and it’s setting people up for debt and failure.
I love the guy who doesn't want to have money, everybody just gets what they need. He can't answer the question about why anyone would put in the work to be a doctor instead of just being an Uber driver. Truly, under his way of thinking, there'd be no need for anyone to put in the hard work to be a doctor, educator, engineer, or anything like that. What would be the point?
that's how socialism works
That whole concept is why Karl Marx was a deadbeat.
The lack of clear logic for a college student was stunning. He was incapable of providing evidence supporting his argument that Communism and Socialism could be appealing.
It really doesn’t bode well for our country if this an example of college educated people in 2020. I think my grandparents generation who mostly dropped out during high school to work and help their families were far wiser and certainly had an abundance of common sense which is lacking in this representation of young people. These kids may be more “educated” but they are very dumb.
Mind blowing. But the real question is why is getting a college education is so expensive. Ohio State remained under budget and operated at a profit of $700 million in Fiscal Year 2017. That's profit AFTER operating costs.
Amazing how they don’t realize if you increase taxes in the long term they will be paying more then if they just paid off the student loans.
Two words...Personal Responsibility!
Amazing how much in la-la land these kids live (and quite sure rest of this age group)!
These kids have no idea how the real world works. Once they start the work force and see 30% of their paycheck go to the government, they will change their tune. My husband and I have paid 35% in taxes for years. It’s ridiculous.

The girl in the green shirt what's her number? Asking for a friend.
Who tf you asking?
It's a good thing they're still in school, because they still haven't learned enough about how the real world works.
It's a shame that they haven't learned how things work, because it's costing them so much.
It's fortunate for the school board, directors, administrators, investors, and content creators because they're making bank.
I wish I could invest in colleges. Like a mutual fund.
Then, when the bubble pops, short it.
I find it to be totally amazing how these students somehow believe that government money is anything different than the money collected from taxing citizens. We are screwed if these are the people that will eventually control the levers of power in our nation.
How can you go to school to get 'educated' but literally have zero economic common sense. I just graduated college and I had to deal with these airheads on the day to day. It's so sad.
CAMELLLLLL T_ _ !!!!!!
Another question to ask is - for the people that have gotten the education, gotten a job (perhaps a lower paid one than they expected) and who struggled to get that student loan paid off, should they also be refunded for their college expenses? I've been paying my University expenses off for the last 15 years, would I also get a refund? Who would pay for that?
You don't need a degree to make it, trades people are killing it and that will multiply exponentially, because this generation doesn't want to put in that type of effort.
Nor do they have the skill set behind it, regardless of training.
If nobody has to pay college tuition, how do they expect the schools to pay the professors and staff who keeps the buildings & grounds maintained?
Will they be expected to work for free?
Better question would be " where should we plant the moneytrees?"
The title confused me so
I think the professors that taught these kids this type of thinking should be paying the student loan debt. I will bet they change their curriculum real fast.
Wow just wow!!!!!
So mom’s and dad’s who did NOT take vacations, buy new cars, cut coupons, scrimped and saved every dime to send their child to college should then be further punished for making good responsible decisions? It kinda feels like that is their solution. I’m not paying for your choices, and I won’t ask you to pay for mine. That seems fair to me.
The federal government guarantees the loans so the loan companies/banks will never lose money on the program. Schools figured out they could raise tuition and housing costs astronomically because students could "afford" it because of the loans; the lenders can't lose because if the student defaults, the feds will pay it off. Ironically, the students are rabidly going after the only one of the three that doesn't unethically make a ton of money off the program -- the federal government.
'You mean actually pay for my own education like every generation before me? So unfair'
Ironically, when I went to college, I studied Economics. Obviously that stuff is no longer taught.
Doctor here. Graduated in 2008. When am I getting this mythical high wage? If I was motivated by money I certainly wouldn’t be a doctor, I would have done law or another STEM maybe. People generally become doctors as a vocation, it is categorically not for money (unless they were lied to, or are idiots)
I get paid a lot and I would like to help students with their debt and support scholarships for top students. USA is falling behind the rest of the world because we do not have enough people getting PhD's and going into sciences. I am really terrified about some of these little shitty countries over taking us because we do not have enough local people getting higher degrees. Look at the biggest companies in USA, a HUGE majority of the workers are from abroad, why? because not enough people in USA are educated enough to fill those positions!
Did he actually cite Cuba, as an argument?
In my honest opinion
If we forgive student loan debt & medical debt
Wipe the slate clean
Get the government out of the business of guaranteed student loans
I mean we just authorized the federal reserve and department of treasury to do full on corporate socialism like what we did in 2009-2010 so yeah 🤷🏽♂️
This is what you learn in school! I am scary...
"Our society doesn't need money" yet we need money to go to school to get good money from a high paying job so just make the people who make the most money foot the bill.

So short version and I know this will shock all of you.... They only want this to pay THEIR way and then when its time for the next generation they WONT want this to continue... Go figure. And even if they did, let them start the pay for those behind you crap. This idea of pay for "me" changes when they are the one who has to pay.

Remember, things are generally worth what you pay for them.
I have a great idea, why don't they pay for college themselves as it has been done for decades. Many of my friends got student loans and worked hard to pay them off, wasn't easy but they did. How do they expect to get along in life if they can't take care of business now?
I remember when I was in college and stupid
Not sure whether I should laugh or cry at their answers......
What's with the microphone stand, Steven Tyler?
Talking about the difficulty of paying for student loans while wearing an apple watch, airpod and possibly an iphone 11 max pro. Unbelievable...
If they did get free education would not only taxpayers have to pay but it would also bring on inflation making the earned income worth-less (not that being paid with debit notes could ever be worth anything other than slavery)?
Go out to dinner with your friends and either a) each pay your own way or b) divide the bill equally. In the second scenario, people will order more expensive food and the bill will be higher.
All I can say is wow the future looks very dim.
This is what happens when you have a generation of people getting everything handed to them and zero consequences or discipline their whole lives.
Hey geniuses here's a new idea since you probably never had to do this while you were going to school. There's this thing out there they call it employment you go out there and trade your labor (another name for work) and they will give you money to do this and if you turn around and give the money to the people you so eagerly took money from before it will lower your school bill try looking into that .

The top 1% possess 65% of the wealth and paid 37% of taxe reported last year.
This is major wealth inequality, even conservative mostly agree on that. You can't be taking the part of the lion and not pay your share, if you possess 65% of the wealth you should contribute to 65% of the tax system. Putting the burden on the middle class has got to stop, they are the only class who constantly contribute a high % to the tax system than the wealth % they possess.
Your education is on you!!!
I think we can all agree that the colleges are not doing a very good job educating. If students don't want to pay for their education, I say they go ask for a refund..
