I actually had this idea in my head for a while about if Sonic.exe was a completely original character instead of being an evil version of sonic, that would honestly be really interesting, like imagine all the other exes as original characters like Xenophanes or Lord x, or Fatal error, now that would be a cool idea!

Fatal Error just seems to have encountered Sonic first, Needlemouse Sarah was buried in a spot where a SEGA headquarters was later built, and most of the others either inhabit Sonic games due to random chance, being actual video game characters, or out of tradition because the first void entity did so. Basically, it’s tradition. But others may exist, and have entirely different forms to suit their liking.
I mess with X as a dolphin for some reason it feels very cool design wise and especially since it’s Ecco The idea that he’s much less talkative and lures you into the planet’s core already gives off great ideas for how the setting should look like and feel. Hope you have a wonderful day!

In this timeline, he'd experience a delusion similar to "Sonic," but rather than believing he's a certain character, he believes nothing he is doing is wrong in the slightest. He sees humans as tragic, having gone too far beyond what we were naturally intended to be, so he takes souls into Super Monkey Ball as a means to effectively liberate them of their unnecessary consciousness and return them back to their roots as apes, just as nature intended. However, this means his victims are mindless and act purely on instinct, and that he is the only cognitive one in his world, ironic considering his existence is a mistake of the void rather than natural evolution. He's a hypocrite, basically.
Quiet ironic since I'm pretty sure even other primates aren't purely instinct-reliant. Does X in this scenario even know about the high intelligence of other primates like orangutans?
Seeing Vector Man was SUCH a nostalgic trip, I played the game on Sonic Gems Collection when I was younger and always found it so odd for it to be included. I feel that for a Vector Man.exe take, that (unfamiliar game included in a sonic games collection) could lead into an interesting angle for his story.

I'd bet each one could be interesting, considering that I'm pretty sure you normally don't play as any other character, so it could be neat on who'd you play as. Plus, it is very interesting how X uses human victims, and is aware of the game, instead of just being overpowered character IN-universe. One day while I was thinking about whether the Sonic.exe’s eyes are supposed to be a black sclera or empty eye sockets, it occurred to me that the glowing red pupils would make sense as the ends of eyestalks coming from within the hollowed-out head. It lead me to make up my own headcanon about Sonic.exe’s true form and how it’s possession works. In appearance, the true form resembles inky puppy-sized slug with those bioluminescent red-tipped eyestalks and a gnarly maw lined with grotty teeth. To begin possession, the parasite slips in through the mouth, hollows out the head (discarding the original jaws and eyeballs in the process), and nestles its body at the base of the neck. At its vantage the parasite can extend its eyestalks to act as pupils in the empty sockets, and its jaw can protrude far enough to fit in the host’s oral cavity like a wicked pair of dentures. From within it generates fungal-like roots that spread throughout the body, replace the nervous system, and further alter the host’s physiology to the parasite’s desire. When it decides to, the parasite can still eject itself from the corpse of its host, leave behind its roots to decay, and begin the cycle anew.
X wouldn’t need to change much about Quake tbh, his ability to make the game real for those who lose is enough considering how Quake is already one of the most horrific games you could ever be in. I’d like to see what a ranger version of X would look like and how he’d taunt players trapped in the madness of the dreamland.

With dark purple crystals being a large plot point of multiple post insomniac games. With both OG and fanon Xenophanes having crystals growing out of him.
i love that we now have several variations of X, 5 (technically 6, if you want to include God Z) to be exact: Sonic.EXE, KiloByte, and now the Alex Kidd, Vectorman and Ecco variations. all the same guy, but yet so different at the same time. base X is just some self-proclaimed God, KiloByte not as much, but potentially having the same motive, Alex Kidd X being a greedy entity who will always screw anybody over, either you lose, or a previous victim loses and gets eaten. Vectorman X being this strict and intimidating general who constantly breaks down his victims until they eventually become obedient and mindless, and Ecco X being this strange, pseudo goblin shark that lures and feeds on other sea life. all of which are so different, but yet they're all the same exact X we've known since 2011. it's so unique, i REALLY love this!
Idea for part 2 (This is gonna be a long one lmao) So basically I was thinking of Boyfriend from FNF as an idea! Since sonic.exe kinda got its resurgence from FNF. Anyways, it’s kinda like Alex Kidd but instead of Rock, paper, scissors, it was a rap battle! And here’s how it would go. The player would be “pico” from Picos school! And X would challenge you to a Rap battle! And if you won, you get to keep playing the e “pico mix” tracks! But if you lost, he would kill you and make you apart of his “girlfriend” and so yeah! That’s my idea, also I’d see this version of X be kinda generous I’m letting his victims have a chance. (Sorry if this was super long!!)
Then, if each conduit effects X in different ways, would you also be willing to go into how exactly the sonic conduit also effects X? It may seem obvious, but I can't help but wonder in what ways exactly he was influenced in that regard. After all, the sonic series is built on going fast more than anything else, right?
Sonic is the type of person who has an ego and prefers doing what he wants. Sonic's personality fits with how Lord X has a god complex, and the desire to make whoever is unfortunate to meet him play along to the rules of his games. (Which are skewed towards Lord X's favor.)

Echo fangame wise would make sense as an exe for Sonic USB. Cuz the main mascot is Selphy, a dolphin. And Echo is in the game too. So makes sense

i love that we now have several variations of X, 5 (technically 6, if you want to include God Z) to be exact:
Sonic.EXE,
KiloByte,
and now the Alex Kidd, Vectorman and Ecco variations.
all the same guy, but yet so different at the same time.
base X is just some self-proclaimed God,
KiloByte not as much, but potentially having the same motive,
Alex Kidd X being a greedy entity who will always screw anybody over, either you lose, or a previous victim loses and gets eaten.
Vectorman X being this strict and intimidating general who constantly breaks down his victims until they eventually become obedient and mindless,
and Ecco X being this strange, pseudo goblin shark that lures and feeds on other sea life.
all of which are so different, but yet they're all the same exact X we've known since 2011.

Idea for part 2 (This is gonna be a long one lmao) So basically I was thinking of Boyfriend from FNF as an idea! Since sonic.exe kinda got its resurgence from FNF. Anyways, it’s kinda like Alex Kidd but instead of Rock, paper, scissors, it was a rap battle! And here’s how it would go. The player would be “pico” from Picos school! And X would challenge you to a Rap battle! And if you won, you get to keep playing the e “pico mix” tracks! But if you lost, he would kill you and make you apart of his “girlfriend” and so yeah! That’s my idea, also I’d see this version of X be kinda generous I’m letting his victims have a chance. (Sorry if this was super long!!)

Then, if each conduit effects X in different ways, would you also be willing to go into how exactly the sonic conduit also effects X? It may seem obvious, but I can't help but wonder in what ways exactly he was influenced in that regard. After all, the sonic series is built on going fast more than anything else, right?
Sonic is the type of person who has an ego and prefers doing what he wants. Sonic's personality fits with how Lord X has a god complex, and the desire to make whoever is unfortunate to meet him play along to the rules of his games. (Which are skewed towards Lord X's favor.)
