Man, you are a great teacher who knows what he's talking about. I've just installed the Arturia V-Collection and your tutorials offer me a fantastic insight. Thank U so much for charing your knowledge. It's a joy the sea and gear you explain. Groetjes...V
THANKS ANTHONY!! Just received notification of your latest tutorial...I've been waiting for this. Looking forward to learning about this monster synth. Thanks again.
Do you cover the modulation page somewhere? I want to connect cc2 (breath) to vca and filter cutoff, preferably without midi learn of the plug-in but in the preset.
There isn't a specific episode on it, because (I think - it's a while ago now), I'd concluded that I'd covered its functionality in the other episodes... sorry. As for your question, I think you'll have to use MIDI learn - it's the only way I know of to map CC data to a control in the plugin. I appreciate that that will require you to save the MIDI Config, but at least then you'll have that config available for every preset you design with the instrument.
@@OneManAndHisSongs thanks Anthony! I already concluded the same thing, it will only work when using midi learn to connect cc2 to filter freq and vco volume for instance. Thanks for your reply!
@@OneManAndHisSongs I noticed that Arturia has macro support that I can assign in the midi controller area. I however don't see where to create/define those macros? There seems to be a restriction to how many targets a CC message like CC2 can be routed. It only allows 1 AFAIKT. So I want to see if I can route CC2 to a macro and then route the macro to various parameters like cutoff, amp etc.
Well explained. Arturia just released V2 of the plugin. In the original SOS review, Gordon Reid remarked on phase cancellation issues with the oscillators. Have you found an improvement there?
The Matrix 12 is a fine beast. This tutorial series hopefully will help you navigate. Not a beginners device but well designed initially by Oberheim. Seek out artists that recorded the Expander, such as Steps Ahead.
Good one. I googled the original Matrix 12. Yikes! Seven knobs, a lot of buttons and a third of the top panel taken up by routing diagrams. I'm glad Arturia weren’t slaves to that. I wonder why so many 80s synth designers used these unintuitive layouts? Cost?Or maybe they're the same sadists who give us light grey script on a dark grey background today. 😊
Lol, yeah, humanity stumbling from one dumb design idea to another ;) I particularly loved the postage stamp lcd displays of the Japanese synths from the 80's. They were the best...
blindin! i was hoping you'd do this one!
Cool, hope you enjoy it :)
Really really looking forward to this!!
Thanks, hope you enjoy it :)
Thanks for this tutorial
You're welcome 😊

That's really kind of you to say, thanks very much :)

Thanks for the feedback. It's not something I've investigated, but I'll give it a look
Thanks very much for your valuable videos. I would like to suggest you a series about Dune3 synth.
Thanks for your kind feedback - unfortunately I don't own the Dune3.

It sure is. What a run Oberheim had.

Thanks! One more sub!
Thank you too, much appreciated :)
