Thanks for the review. I love the vertical picture of a man sitting in the street, wearing a white hat. This is the kind of atmosphere and vibrance that I'm looking for in my photos. Definitely putting this lens on my list.
This pushed me over the line to pick one up, the 25mm range on APS-C is my favourite so I'm glad the image quality holds up! Thank for the comprehensive review Dylan. Also, big love for the Phanerozoic shirt ❤
Glad to hear it. This little lens has been in my mind ever since I sent it back to Laowa after the review. One day, I'll find the spare cash to buy one and the time to use it again. Oh, and yes, The Ocean. Hard to beat!
I'm sure logistically, it would require quite some work. But I would love to see your vids in higher res some day! Your work is amazing and I really enjoy your style! Keep up the great work
One of these days. Right now, my machine couldn't handle it and I don't even have a 4K monitor to play back on! We'll see what happens! Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the review. Very interesting lens! I had the Mitakon 33 f0.95 which, I guess, is it´s sibling and I loved the rendering. However, it was very difficult for me to manually focus. Although I´ve gone back to FF Canon for my pro work this looks like a very nice lens to play with on my remaining Fuji body (X-Pro 2).
So with this price it puts this lens more expensive than a used 23mm 1.4 from Fuji that sells for about 350-400 usd. What would you recommend for a all around lens for taking shots of family, street and occasional zoo visits? Using an X-Pro2. I have the Laowa 65mm Macro so I do like their brand.
Hi Dylan, Your review is what's pushed me towards this lens. How would you describe the "focus falloff", how it transitions from the in focus area to the out of focus are to the front and/or back . Thank you!
I’ve only recently purchased a Fuji X-S20 body. I want to start shooting street coupled with architectural photography. I have recently relocated to Cuenca, Ecuador where these very old and quaint buildings and monuments are so prevalent. With that said, which of the Fuji X mount lenses would you recommend? Laowa 10mm, 25mm, or a zoom as my first lens? Thanks for your recommendation.
Nice review! Question: Does the hard stop at infinity correspond to true infinity? This has been the weak point in the inexpensive manual focus lenses that I've bought from TT Artisans.
Can you tell us how does this lens compare to new Fuji's 23mm, image quality wise. I know it is different kind of lens, but still, really cant decide on that 35mm equivalent.
Hello Dylan Thanks for the review. Difficult to distinc any sharpness in your reviex through as UA-cam is killing any 1080p upload know... Your review would greatly benefits from upload in 4K. Take care ;)
I don't understand why they haven't made another focal length, this is very close to the 33mm... Laowa is loosing me, a bit. They could make some interesting things : a macro X2 for GFX, a tele-prime for Fuji-X, a ultra-wide-angle zoom for Fuji-X... I'm not into their multiple versions of close focal ranges. Sorry to be the grumpy watcher. ha ha ha Thank you so much for your great review, as always !! Take good care, Dylan ! Colin
Nice one ol' Dylos - but just my thing with a new Laowa - where were the f8 stop plus - sunbursts, natural or street lit streaking shots. A native ability of the brand... thanks matey

I love your reviews, Dylan. You are very transparent about your experience with the gear, and you don't seem to oversell, like some reviewers do.
Thanks, Immanuel. Just trying to be helpful. I don't want you to buy something you don't need. :)
Great review. Truly helpful. Thank you so much!!

Great review! Love your videos. When will you do a full XT5 review? Also, just to clarify, does this lens only have Manual focus?

But the great thing about the TTartisans lenses is that you can adjust that. It's the first thing I do with their lenses.

I believe it was too hard for them to make this optical quality with f 0.95 wider, like 23mm or 20mm
Does it have a hard-stop infinity focus setting?
Does it come with a normal round lens cap too? I don’t like the square hood because it interferes with filters.
Yes, it does.

The product link doesn't work (as of 11/6/2022)
Fixed. Thank you!
