They thought their meeting with Kazuma's party had ended peacefully, but..."You promised me you would tell me more adventure stories, didn't you?" Princess Iris had become attached to Kazuma!? When Kazuma opened his eyes, he found himself in none other than the royal capital!
As he stayed at Princess Iris's request, he became captivated by the luxurious life in the royal castle and decided to take advantage of the opportunity and stay. However, around the same time, a series of incidents involving a righteous thief began to unfold in the royal capital...

Well, Kazuma being Adventurer-class means he can get skills from *any* class, his growth chart ain't that good as result but it honestly doesn't matter when he can get any of the bullshit abilities of other classes
Foooooor example Auto-evade from Monk-class, that triggers based on luck, guess what stat Kazuma has maxed out?

He doesn't have to be strong, just fast enough to make the enemies weak enough.

That's basically how i see it.
Kazuma is smart but not strong enough, but with his skills, he doesn't really have to be strong, just fast and smart enough.
Mitsurugi on the other hand has strength and brute force, but just like Kazuma said, he's a bit of a narcissist, over confident and overall, not that smart.
He's perfect for crowd control and big monsters but if his enemy is smart enough, he'd fold like a wet towel... 😂
Kazuma with his party : 50% of his full potential
Kazuma with Chris : 99% of his full potential
His party's bad luck cancels out his good luck so it rarely works when they're adventuring together. Chris is the only character whose luck stat is high enough to beat Kazuma in rock-paper-scissors.

It;s actually more like 190% potential. The girl he was with has even higher luck then he does...for reasons I can't say as I'm sure it's spoilers. So her being around him gives him a buff beyond his normal potential I would say. :P

Always assumed Darkness was playing up deain touch because of her predilections but after watching these mooks she was actually being pretty restrained...
Drain touch can almost oneshot any human. aqua and darkness have crazy resistances one due to bad stat point allocation and the other due to being a goddess. So that makes the power of drain touch decieving.

When Vanir gave the limited edition mask to Kazuma he mentioned that it boosts blood circulation when you wear it under the moonlight, this explains Kazuma being in top condition.
If you can't remember it go back to episode 2 at around 6:00 mark, everything in this anime likes giving out small details.

He probably foresaw Kazuma fighting the entire castle's defenses and figured it'd be entertaining so he gave him the mask.

Because that was just partial to what he actually did in LN. He was spamming Create Earth + Wind Breath (both beginner tier magic) to blind the guards in front, Create Water + Freeze to those who pursue them. He then binds one guard then Drain Touch the other to immobilize both. Then binds the free one and Drain Touch the other that has not been sapped yet.
Kazuma has no openings in his peak condition.
When he fought Mitsurugi, he didn't just flooded him with water. He closed out to him first when he got distracted by the frozen hilt of the sword. Kazuma covered his mouth with his hand before shooting Create Water directly (which should have no effect on him) but when he Freeze the water he shot directly to his mouth, that's when he started to panic for not being able to breath at all. It required both Claire and Rain's attention to tend to him first before he dies allowing Kazuma and Chris to proceed to Iris' room with no more pursuer.
It’s like a cramped leg. It hurts and you know it’s going to continue to hurt but you’re still in denial that it’s happening.

I never thought i'd see the day kazuma is a competent fighter.
Always has been
he always was... but hes a luck based character and his entire party has REALLY BAD luck... so his luck based build is completely useless in their presence..
100% Vanir's Mask was giving him a huge confidence boost and/or he was influenced by Vanir or his character.
Because all of a sudden he was acting and gesturing like him.
Vanir actually can boost one's ability to astounding level. In the movie, Darkness possessed by Vanir can face three Demon Generals alone while doing impossible movements and actually hitting her enemy. I guess Kazuma also receives some sort of physical buff from the mask, not just his confidence.

he might not be able to one shot an rmy tank an explosion or revive but he pretty much can do literally anything else, i think theres a side story where he switches his team with dust and he goes on an actual adventure gets to show off and be praised for being REALLY good at what he does.

While the episode was amazing, its unfortunate that so much of the actual raid was cut, like them only being caught because Kazuma tried stealing an adult book, or how he almost killed Mitsurugi by freezing the water pumped into his lungs.
