I was just typing that in comment and I see you already requested. I really liked Anthem AVR but it was so old and not updated with all new bells and whistles. Also I have two subs and able to calibrate both subs separate was missing in older AVRs
Love to see more companies making dedicated processors. Lets hope this interest will lower the prices in a few years. I really want to get a 9.1.6, cuz that's the best you will ever need in a home. More channels will over the top for home.
I would jump on this in a sec ($10K is pricey but its doable) but the whole HDMI 2.1 chipset debacle has me scared to get any receiver until it gets resolved with a new chipset supposedly coming Fall 2021.
Why don’t more people talk about Yamaha...the 5200 has 2 ess saber pro 9026 dacs..the oppo has the same 9026 and it sounds great..the new 9038s will end up there I assume..is it because people relie on room correction too much and the Yamahas don’t have good correction..nice video can’t wait to see new room
You are correct... people rely on room correction. Pioneer also has ESS Dacs and no one talks about them. All you here is Denon/Marantz this and that because of Audyssey. Marantz and Denon are nothing without Dynamic EQ on. You won’t get much LFE Without Dynamic Eq on, and the only way around it is to run your subs hot. UA-cam reviewers can say whatever they want, but There is nothing like hearing it with your own ears. In my personal Opinion Yamaha and Pioneer sound Better than Marantz and Denon.
Totally agree. Yamaha room correction isn't bad either they know DSP better than anyone which is what room correction does. Plus Marantz and Denon have better marketing presence which helps with that perception of those brands.
@@BrianGarside every room correction has flaws... Dirac and ARC aren’t perfect either and will need some adjustment. if you know how to calibrate your system properly, rom correction shouldn’t matter as much.
@@dadevastator24_77 Agreed. I think room correction is overly emphasized solution for room issues by itself. I think Yamaha is better craftmanship than those two popular brands.
@@dadevastator24_77 I calibrated our Marantz SR5600 and it sounds awesome & can get pretty loud at negative 25 too! With JBL satellite speakers & sub.☺ Thanks. No issues at all same with our SR8500 with Wharfedale Diamond 9.5.
Uhhhh ahhhhh, that front strip LED takes me back but to a modern version of KIIT in the 80s show Knight Rider with David Hasselhoff. But does it speak to you?
"You know you hurt maestro's feelings?" 🤣. Awesome video as always man👊. And that's a very beautiful looking processor. I guess the asking price says it all. I mean it looks well built, high quality. Looking forward to seeing that demo👀.
Audiocontrol puts side jokes in all of their products. Just read threw their manual. Always good for laugh. "This is the best product we know how to build, but if you strap it to the front bumper of your Range Rover, something might break"
Does it have the vertical stretch capability for use with an anamorphic lens or has this feature moved into the projector these days? In my old theater it was in the Anthem D2 but I see the new Anthem processors don't have that feature anymore. Thanks, mk
Drives me friggin crazy, why do none of these "experts" know the difference between spdif and toslink? Spdif is coaxial, toslink is optical. The TOS is short for Toshiba who developed it, Toshiba link. Toslink is nothing to do with Sony or Philips, they developed the electrical coax digital interface. Your welcome.
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude Wow! what a short sided position to take and makes them sound elitist or whatever. Makes me not to want to buy them I was considering the AVM70.

I dont know why but i HATE that font of the Audio Control name and the blue light just looks cheap to me anyone else? but the rest of the unit looks great!
This thing is a piece of shit. Put it into an install and nothing but constant problems with it. Went with an Anthem instead and sounds and performs light years better.
When you can ... Put this one up for performance versus the Anthem AVM 90 ... I'd like to see that.

I’m sure the Anthem will at least work properly
Awesome! I've got an older Audiocontrol Maestro M4 7.3 and absolutely love it. I can only imagine how great this X9 is.

That HTD is a serious piece of gear and a BEAST!!!!
Looks like a Arcam avr40 from the back and also the lcd screen
That new intro is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Lol @14:48 doesn't bother me but I think you forgot to edit that out
haha, looks like I did. nice catch. Videos up so it would be hard to snip it out now.
Life is best when it is imperfect
You just humanized yourself, congratulations my friend!! Could tell it was accidental, and gave me a great laugh.
I might be wrong but aren't these based on the Arcam's AV41 that retails for $5,250.00??
Pioneer Elite SC series AVr’s also have the ESS Dacs
also yamaha aventage series
@@junior-OG the flagship Yamaha’s do.
Dammmm that intro is dope_ulicious!!!!! Great job.
Sweet! Dirac is awesome 🤩
This isn't for your weekend warrior to listen while watching the football game. Mic 🎤 drop 😅🤣😂

How well built are the internals ? Caps resistors etc.
Does direct mode bypass room correction? That would be a change from other processors.
I still use a datasat -- it gives me AES/EBU outputs and I use external DACs.
Any update on its performance yet? Keep us posted. Thanks
shortly. stay tuned

Audio Control or Emotiva which is better??
Quick question.does your blue led on the front of the x9 drop in brightness from time to time? My x7 does
Send it to Amir on audiosciencereview and let’s see how it measures
This or Storm Audio isp mk2? Thanks.
I wonder how it does compare with a Lexicon MC-10...

Hey I have a question can I paire a pair of klipsch RP 600m with the Center Speaker RP 450C? Thank you for your time .
Yes you can, all RP(reference premier) speakers match with any RP centers.
A serious piece of equipment with a serious price tag. Overkill for 99% of the enthusiasts out there..

Hey man, when are we gonna see your finished home theater room?
is the maestro x9 better than Denon X8500HA ?
Id say so. The DACs are super clean and have tons of dynamics without the distortion :) Looking for one? give me a shout :)

Hit up anthem for the avm70.
Anthem has made it very clear they dont want to work with me and the team. So may be a longer wait to get a review

$9600 and HDMI 2.0b. Seems a bit overpriced for something that is, or at best, will be outdated directly.
