    The crowd just sat there cause they were in a bit of a state of shock cause he got super real with everyone in that last part and was literally like melting down on stage. After that performance he quit doing comedy because he was having severe panic attacks on stage. In interviews he said he was done. Those of us that loved his performances were sad but wanted him to be happy. 5 years later in 2021 he released the special “inside” where he talks briefly about this but in that moment, all of his fans realized, BO WAS NOT OKAY.

      @Angivel Рік тому

      I made that observation myself. The sad thing is, That crowd, just didn't Get it, they didn't hear Bo.
      It's weirdly telling that every time Bo jumps back into his "job" and goes back to burritos, the crowd erupts again, because they can identify that as a Joke, a Funny, only further proving Bo's point; You can say anything as long as you say it funny and make it rhyme, no one really wants to hear Real shit so I might as well just dance like a good little monkey.
      Crowds dont care about the person only about what they can Get from his person.

    "L crowd. Why are they just sitting there?" Well, probably because they are actually listening to what he is saying. Dude is pouring his heart out about his struggles.

      Ughh. I've had some extremely bad anxiety attacks before. I could t imagine having one on stage in front of people. You can hear it in his voice when he screams at the end. He said he went backstage and bawled his eyes out for over an hour because of it. And this was his last show. He cancelled the rest

      @@madwheelsgaming2360 This genre is called mockumentary. Bo si talking introspective in his songs. But it isn´t about his real life. Some pieces are inspired by his real life, but its just Art. Art is a lie nothing is real!

    This song is like a litmus test for whether or not someone’s mental health is symptomatic…it’s so catchy and vibes so hard that getting the undertones of what he’s saying can easily go overlooked. But if your mental health is symptomatic, the catchiness gets overshadowed by the undertones. I’ve watched A LOT of reactions to this lol, it always seems to go one of those 2 ways. Both are totally fine by me. Sometimes it’s nice just watching someone vibe with it and enjoy it for the performance and composition without getting caught up in all the mental health stuff.
    Keep ‘em coming!
    Cheers

    Bo isn't a musician. He is an artist. He actually doesn't like his crowd to interrupt his music because it freaks him out. And seeing as this was a Netflix special the audience probably had more strict rules to follow. I bet they didn't even serve liquor.

    Bo is a seriously good musician, it's no wonder someone who enjoys this kind of music is focusing more on the production than the message itself. I mean, he's sort of perfectionist himself, so he absolutely would not mind seeing a reaction like this.

Whenever we hear something dope we both do exactly that, you've made hella impact on us, and I wanna see more Bo Burnham content.

    this song is the anthem for every type of content creator be it music, youtube, twitch, etc. There is not one who does this type of work who doesnt go through this pain and fear and depression. Its easy to quit. Its harder to keep going and trying to succeed. Success comes at a cost to ones self. Keep that in mind when you blast someone trying to make something of themselves. Its easy to be mean, its respectful to give respect and support. You have no idea how just the words, great job or thank you for doing this, means to someone. Its what gets them through and not want to doubt themselves.

    This song is amazing but it breaks my heart every time I listen to it.
    Being a fan of Bo since his very first upload on youtube, I watched this kid (he's only like 3 years younger than me lol) grow into a magnificent artist and then his special "What." and then this one following it, really showed how much he was suffering.
    I completely understood him stepping away from performing after this.

  • @LongandWeirdName
    @LongandWeirdName Рік тому +7

    "Why does he have autotune, bro?"
    Have you listened to the intro at all or were you busy thinking about ninety dollar t-shirts?
    He clearly said Kanye made a rant and had an instrumental in the background and autotune on his voice. Bo is simply doing the same thing Kanye did. Ranting about random things like Pringles and burritos. Until he isn't ranting about random things, of course.
    Edit:
    I've been looking through your video list and saw a few I found interesting, but after watching this one, I don't think I will give you a second more watch time.
    A man is opening up and you're just vibing to the instrumental and autotuned voice? Calling a crowd of his fans that was just hit with the truth about his mental health an "L Crowd" because they're sitting respectfully silent after hearing what they've heard instead of being hyped about the tunes? Disrespectful af.
    Gonna be deleting this reaction from my watch history, so I'm not recommended any more of your stuff.
    And before anyone asks why I'm leaving this comment, it's called constructive criticism. Helping someone realize why some people have a negative reaction to their content so that they can improve and reach a wider audience/get more subscribers.
    Have a nice life, dude. I wish you success with your channel, but this is just not for me.
    Peace.

      Just a response to your criticism, he has no reason to realize that thats an actual panic attack, hes been presented with Bo as a comedy musician who puts on an act, he doesnt know Bo yet so he has every reason to think this was another act and not a moment of real, so he sees a good song and is wondering why the crowd not vibing to it, its a pretty normal reaction for someone whos only heard 3 songs from the guy and only knowsthe act, heck, i remember my first time hearing this song watching the special, i thought it was part of the act, didnt find out til later about how this was his last show before a massive hiatus and that after he left at the end of this song he went backstage and broke down, if youre new to Bo's stuff youre not gonna realize that this wasnt just an act
      All in all i think youre being a bit harsh here

    So the burrito and Pringle can are both metaphors to what he can not handle. He has taken to much to handle and it cannot fit (burrito) and he wants the goods at the bottom but they are just out of reach and he cannot grasp them (Pringle can). Now that is poetry.

    Why do ppl think holding auto tune is impressive,
    It’s literally made for bad singers.

    • @jimstanley_49
      @jimstanley_49 Рік тому +4

      Auto tuning to a key signature live is slightly more difficult than auto tuning individual notes in a recording or even a note by note programmed performance. If you're bad enough the single note you're trying to hold will warble between two notes.

    • @Roanoak
      @Roanoak Рік тому

      When you’re generating autotune for bad singers, it’s runs specifically through a program that pushes it towards the writing notes so the notes are already pre-designed or sometimes out of tune is just slightly enough to slide the notes to the proper pitch… live autotune is a whole New World. In fact, the often use not to correct pitch, but to create pitch like making your voice into this crazy instrument and if you control it wrong, you can make your voice horrible sounding completely off pitch
