- It's been two years since her last album, and while we're glad she's back, Tove Lo is "Glad He's Gone." Her newest single dropped on May 31, and to celebrate, Tove came by ELLE.com to christen our Song Association chair. Her live voice sounds exactly like in studio versions. One of the best singer/songwriters if our generation, genius with melodies, doesnt get credit enough.

She doesn’t sound the same live. Her “Thousand Miles" VEVO performance makes that clear. She honestly sounds better though.

Kinda living for how she made "New Rules" and "Cry Me a River" sound better acapella than they did originally in the studio. She has a way of making every song sound like it's her own
Love is such an understatement for her. She's such a real and genuine artist. She's very simple and her songs are simply out of this world. Her lyrics are the embodiment of pain and heartbreak, longing and desire, ecstasy and numbness.
She is underrated, but she is surely creative and not a shallow act.
