- NEW UPDATED VERSION - Very pretty hymn written by Cesareo Gabarain, a Spanish Basque priest, in 1979. He wrote about 250 hymns during his life.
There are different versions of the lyrics, here are the lyrics for this version:

My mother wanted this for her funeral, but it was summer and no one was available to sing it. For my Father, he got it! God is good!

My mom just passed away a week ago. My wonderful cousin superimposed the lyrics to this song over a photo of my mom floating in the lake we all grew up on, and the picture is hanging in our hallway. Had never heard of this song so felt led to look it up. Very special indeed. ❤️🙏

We used to sing this in church every Sunday. The words were different though.
