LEON HAS BEEN AROUND FOR AWHILE....MARVIN GAYE, SOME OF STAX ARTISTS, WHEN I HEARD IN THE BEGINNING THAT MAX REQUESTED HIM, THERE WAS NO DOUBT WHERE THIS YOUNG MAN SIGHTS WERE.
This my 1st seeing him live although I've heard his name throughout my 58 yrs. But when I heard Body Heat years ago...Leon's voice Had me. I'm sure there are other songs out there with his voice. I'm about to go on a journey finding ALL his music.
Leon Ware, "A Black Man's Invitation To His Black Woman: Sumthin' Sumthin'," You Tube... "....so we can kick a little sumthin'....rock it 'til it's cool...groove with you..."
I think Leon would have been fine with this song as with the Marvin Gaye songs from the 'I Want You' album. However, sometimes writers never get to reap the full benefit of performing their own songs.
So Leon is the one responsible for all the incredible music behind MARVIN and Maxwell. Wow!!!!!!!
Truly one of the greatest songwriters of all time

Leon Ware, "A Black Man's Invitation To His Black Woman: Sumthin' Sumthin'," You Tube... "....so we can kick a little sumthin'....rock it 'til it's cool...groove with you..."
did he write this?
Mitch Monroe Absolutely Max requested him for Urban Hang Suite
Is that Patrick Mijnals on keys?
Is this HIS SONG. ....or its original to MAXWELL? Cause he is seriously butchering it.....lol
I hear ya..even tho it's his song (writer) it took Maxwell's voice with the IT factor to give that song life.
This is Leon's song and he can do it with the best.
I think Leon would have been fine with this song as with the Marvin Gaye songs from the 'I Want You' album. However, sometimes writers never get to reap the full benefit of performing their own songs.
Sho ya right.
He wrote the song WITH Maxwell, and Maxwell produced it. Y’all trying to rewrite history.
