Dogs pick up our energy. We pass it onto them. I have big and small. Now adopting A Jackie too. Will be integrated with Pitt, Kelpy and Lab. I believe that love and discipline combined with leadership are our only tools.

Im no trainer,but i got a jack russel mix with beagle. Got him from the animal shelter wanted a puppy, but also wanted to save a dog. But long story short I've taught him give me either paw,lay down, get ur leash and he even understands cookies on my head and he climbs to look lol. He's a good boy but who ever had him 1st i think abused him,because he was skittish around ppl and if u moved he would hunker down. Poor guy but now he's a beast and pulls my wife on his leash lol. But he's a good boy

Sorry folks you can't train a jack Russell.they are working dogs that are bred to hunt and kill. same way as hounds.they are loyal and intelligent at getting their own way due to their size. they will be happy to be part of a family. one thing they do like is extra walks and exploring.
I had a 14 year old jack Russell who passed away 2 months ago and he did sit paw and down, he was very well behaved and did not bark unnecessarily they can be good dogs if trained properly from a very young age puppy club or a training club is a must.
My fiancé and I had a pit bull/chihuahua mix that got hit by a car and we decided to not only get a JR puppy but 2 of them. Big big difference in behavior we are trying to be patient but I’m feeling like a fool for getting 2 puppies without gaining a better understanding of 1 JR puppy
