- Baha’i Blog’s Jordan Raj briefly explains the meaning and significance of the twelve days of Ridvan. Ridvan, also known as the Most Great Festival, commemorates an incredible period in history: it celebrates Baha’u’llah’s time in the garden of Ridvan on the outskirts of Baghdad in 1863 where He publicly declared His station as a Manifestation of God.

Good explanation of Ridvan Festival. Lots of non Bahais do not know, why and how Bahaullah got to Baghdad, Iraq.
After Bab's death, Bahaullah came into the scene and it had to be the continuation, as to fulfil the Prophecies.
Bahaullah was such a dynamic speaker, extremely knowledgeable in Islam and Bahai Faith. He could explain everything that people questioned him. He would teach from town to town. And like Christ, he healed alot of people. This up set the Ulamas and Mullahs and the requested the Shah to imprison Bahaullah and the Shah imprison to the most foul prison. This prison was so foul, that bird fly over the prison, the birds would die. They put such a heavy chain on his neck and legs. That years later, Bahaullah hunched. Bahaullah was with the worst criminals and murderers. A lot of prisoners became Bahais. The guards slowly learned to love Bahaullah too. They would question, why such a kind and knowledgeable man is in prison. The authorities, Mullahs and Ulamas were so upset. Then they decided to banish Bahaullah to Israel. Is real then, was very backwards country. Bahaullah and his family, had to walk on foot to Egypt, I think. Read this story, years back. And only from Egypt, did Bahaullah and his family sailed to Israel. At Israel, again he was imprisoned. After a few years he was released from the prison.

We Bahai's believe that Christ has come back in the Person of Bahá'u'lláh (the Glory of God). Through His Teachings humanity can reach world unity and world peace.
