Marshall SLP 1959 - Metal - Hermansson Amplification

- I've rebuilt this Marshall SLP 1959. I've installed my five gain stage metal circuit, hi and low input, a tightness control, a punch control with a three-way range switch and a three-way mid boost switch. There are of course some changes done to the power amp and the power supply as well to get this response out of the amp.
I'm not using any pedals, guitar straight into the amp. No post EQ or compression.
Guitar: Hagström Swede.
Cab: Malmberg 4x12 with old Greenbacks.
Mics: Golden Age R1 MkIII, Tascam DR-40

That gallop though!!!
What an aggressive tone! Never heard that tone from a modded 1959. I also have a modded 1959 SLP ('75 JMP) but it can't compare (or compete) with yours.
One day your amps will be collector items. Damn they sound amazing, and you sure know how to play them
D M, thanks for your kind words! 🙏🏻
Holy hell man! Wake the dead! I want one!
Fuck yeah.... I don’t know what skills I appreciate most: your ability to mod the amp or your playing man. I wish sending amp overseas was not so expensive...
Wrong title. This amp has no resemblance to the original, apart from the case.. This beast is something else. Delicious!!
You have amazing right hand skills and your amps sound f'in tight with killer-clear note separation!!! It's a treat to watch your videos seeing someone like you that has electrical engineers skills and knows how to play like you do, you are one in a million.
Holy Crap man you need to start building under your own brand name
BattousaiMLT, yes! I’m working on it!
That is an amazing sounding amp...your Swede always floors me on how aggressive it can be, then so sweet and articulant ..... Great video
Jason Sapp, thank you! Yes, these old Hagström guitars are amazing!
@@HermanssonAmplificationyeah I'm suprised, what model it is?
Absolutely knocked it out of the park brother!
Amazing! Love how it cleaned up... night and day
MR DEAN V, thanks!
Pretty badass playing
You and your amp rocks
KillerRiffs, thanks! 🙏🏻
Sounds AWESOME!!!
Sounds like a perfect metal recording tone.
John, thanks you! 🙏🏻
Amazing job man its nice to see someone who mod amp that actually know how to play on them and do a great sounding demo!
The Northman Riff, thank you! To me it’s all about how the amp feels and responds to my playing.
@@HermanssonAmplification that how it should be done!
now i need both slp1959 and your version
MASSIVE!!! Viva la Hermansson!
Really lets the soul of that guitar shine Even though it had loads of gain.
jimmyjames77, yes! It’s very clear regardless of amounts of gain.
Sounds killer.
Very sexy great tone!! 1959 is the truth.
Killer!!! :)
fuck man, i have to scoop up a ceriatone or old marshall asap. fantastic playing and sonics on display here, holy shit!
Fuck. This is exactly the tone I want and for the first minute I thought it was the original.
Sincerely, severely depressed tone seeker
Vicious
Dude, that thing sounds absolutely INSANE.
where can I get one of those?
Dude, you make a grown man cry. Out of happiness. Can you do that work on a 50w Mesa Stiletto too?
Wow, that’s awesome 😄
This circuit requires more gain stages than the Stiletto has, but it’s of course possible to make it tighter and more aggressive.
@@HermanssonAmplification we need to talk. And yes, some more aggression from Stiletto would be appropriate.
Daniel Lekardal, send me an email: info(at)hermanssonamplification.com
0:03 I was though he gonna play Bleed.
Wow
Have you ever attempted or considered looking at Marshall solid state amps for mod possibilities?
I may have asked this before , if so sorry...I have a
Marshall 3315 150w head and wondered if there are any "mod or tuning" possibilities on such an amp....most of what I have read is just replace caps and upgrade pots but not much on altering the tone path...any thoughts?
Also what pick up is in the bridge position of the Swede?
Går det att bygga om en H&K Switchblade?
What year is your Swede? Amazing sound!
Jesse Crowe, mid seventies.
I WANT lol
Where's the website? Where can I find the prices?
Do you have a website??
Anyone tapping Out that goddamn Riff?
Amp has a bit of an identity crisis, feet in two different worlds
damn man how the hell you can riff like that???? those gallops were tight as fuck man ... by any chance are you a fan of Jon Schaffer?
:0
many great artist that use marshall prefer jcm800 but plexi is better.... it sound more compact even more kick ass ...... it is like someone hit you with a baseball bat on the head hahahaha......
