    When she touched on her parents having two separate views of their past struggles kind of remind me of what Tamera and Tia Mowery said about their parents in that her father said he never noticed any struggle; yet their mom was certain of the struggles she went through.

      Some people are like that. You often hear it with couples who have been together a long time and one person says or does things that other people are shocked by, but their partner doesn't even notice it any more. They sometimes even brush it off with "That's just how s/he is..." It can be with race or sex issues or anything.

    Ooof. My new boyfriend is biracial similar skin tone to her exact hair like her, I’m brown Asian also similar skin tone to her. I honestly don’t understand this. I’ve had black and white boyfriends at the end of the day love is love. People also stare at me bewildered when I’m with him, he has a huge fro, maybe a little bit lighter than her (I’m her skin tone). I feel jealous when I see someone of my race dating one of the guys I have eyes on, but other that’s because I see it as competition. Outside of this I don’t understand human nature, love is love, attraction is attraction. Why are people so judgemental?! Let people be. I acknowledge all the issues that went on with black lives, but people generally stare at anything that’s different which is annoying!! You can be brown brown but two different types of brown and they’d still stare. This has happened with every single, white, black, biracial boyfriend of mine! Innately people tend to gravitate to what’s different.

      Quila Quila Its true as a mexican-american living in El Paso Tex. I really see it from the outside. It's funny how there is so much racism end insecurity coming from the very same people who love to cry racism from the white man. To the point though it is very pathetic how not just black folks but caucasian/anglo saxon(yes that is the correct word not "white") folks are trying to delegitimize this woman's race because she has two sets of blood running through her vains which make her...her. DNA makes people who they are it is a set of genes that are passed down through generations. So if she has African and Indo-European DNA in her it does not make her black or white it makes her her. That is the magic of humanity and its DNA. How all these different ancestral genes coming from both your parents come down to make you who you are. So when I hear these people talking all this shit I am just "pshhh bitch please". A lot of mexicans like to diss on the European man especially the Spanish since they conquered Mexico but a lot these uneducated self-centered millennial generation do not care to learn that the Spanish interbreeded with local indigenous population. Whence you have todays complex population of Mexicans who's DNA contains both. European(spanish to be precise) and Native Americans including me. Does that mean I have to choose between being white or being brown? Fuck that I am myself I am proud to be who I am. Which my DNA connects to two sides of the world. So the nerve of someone telling me I am not mexican brown enough or spanish enough is repulsive. So I find it pathetic when you have a human being telling another human being that because they do not fit what they think is acceptable behavior in a race that does not make them part of them. Actually genetic science has more validity in letting educating us of who is who. Fuck these insecure people that is what it really is. Angry and insecure people who want to put down other people especially people who have the same african blood running through them, so they can feel good about their own selfs. So they talk shit on you tube(since that is all they can do) and then feel accomplished how they to analyze someone and figured how who they were. It id actually stupid.

      No. Men worship at the altar of the almighty white woman. Black women date black men more because we feel like we're responsible for the continuation of the race. Black women also desire black men more to the point of sharing them. In reality, black men tend to interact with women outside the race through work or school. Black women don't interact with non black men as much in those same circles.

    In life, anytime someone or something is different and the individual doesn't know how to deal with it because they're limited, then the first thing that happens is bullying. It can be in the form of exclusion, verbal, emotional or physical attacks. It's not only regarding race but also if there's a different personality, religion, in dressing, traditions or customs, size, etc. We need to do better in widening out and teaching our children as well. During my stepson's virtual class there was a Hispanic high school student who asked the teacher if he could play the audio in Spanish because he didn't want to listen to a white woman speak, it made him uncomfortable. One student spoke up and said that it was racist. It was. I'm a black woman and I totally agree. Either he's gotten this hate from his environment and his parent(s)/guardian(s) hadn't corrected it. He'll grow up to be prejudice and hateful.

      @Ms Prestige
      I'm not African-American, so I can't pretend to understand your situation but I don't think that interracial relationships of any sort last longer than relationships within the group.
      The notion that black women/white men relationships last longer is based on a small sample size, so it's inadmissable.
      African-American women are more educated, successful, more loyal and have been subject to assaults and degradation internally and externally, so your position is understandable.
      Your people were enslaved for 400 years. Your communities were redlinned and destroyed (Black Wall-Street) and your communities were flooded with drugs and guns, so it's not surprising that these "providers" are in a better position than your own men.
      People should not be constrained from dating, loving and marrying whoever they so desire, but I don't think this should result in sniping at your own people.
      Your love for *your* white man/women should bring you joy and be sufficient, but cheerleading for their race is a little strange.
      You can love interracially and still love your people. The two are not mutually exclusive.
      If you don't have any regard for a segment of your community then it makes sense to attack them and to socialise your (pressumably biracial offspring) into doing the same thing; your sons should marry white girls and your daughters should marry white men. This should result in the descendants becoming white over time.
      I say this because hatred directed from outside is a lot less dangerous than hatred emanating from within.
      I'm so sorry for the obscenely long response.
