It’s been that way for 20... damn, 30 years. Time flies. 30 years since the end of the glory days. My children and now grandchildren have known nothing but disappointment from the Redskins. I figured they’d get rewarded with a championship because they dropped the name. Time will tell.

Havent watched many Washington games but whenever I do, Heineke looks solid, accurate, decisive and faster than youd think, their O-line is solid, they have two solid receivers in DeAndre Carter and Terry McLaurin, two solid RBs in Gibson and McKissic and Logan Thomas is good enough at TE...if they had the D from last year they could be a problem
The O line is one of the best despite being on a 4th string center
The D is slowly coming back into form, they're getting to where they were last year.

As a WFT fan Im glad for the win, but no way should a game where we dominate the other team this much come down to a 2 pt conversion. Need to capitalize on opportunities and put these teams away if we wanna go anywhere.
We would've if we had our kicker to get a FG. I believe if we went up two scores the seahawks wouldn't of stayed in the game the way they did. And Bobby McCains gotta stop making mistakes too

That was a catch on 4th and goal… refs fault it came down the wire not the teams
A kicker I'm the end. However we had 3 or 4 3rd and 1s were we tried the same run and it failed. It worked early but not late, a fake and Heineke keep for a run is what should have happened. And we dropped 3 interceptions during the game. We had 35 more plays on offense. Oh and 41 minutes in time of possession, to 19 !! That game should have been 41 to 13. It should have been a blowout and not a game that came down to the wire. That was a catch for a TD and yet I knew they would call it incomplete cause that's how it goes with NY in the review booth. And I'm sorry but from the 3yard line anyway I'm sending in way to kick. It's a 18 yard kick with a punter who said he has a 35 yard accuracy kicking field goals. I mean it's a extra point ! They train punters as backups to kick those short little chip shots just for emergencies like thi. he can punt like he can he can kick that little a.. field goal. They need to capitalize more on there opportunities. Heineke looked good was a great plus. But it was obvious that Russell Wilson is not 100%. If he was 80% those dropped interceptions would have hurt us because he scores more than 15 points..

Heinicke is good but I think he is more of a short passer. He does complete a few long throws but they are also wildly inaccurate too.

What makes you think Lynch would have made it in on a Belichick stacked run defense? lol. Many HC's (including Belichick) think Carroll made the right call for the defense that was on the line. If you watch Butler's interception in slow motion, you will see that Wilson missed the throw to Lockette by a foot. Thank you Wilson. lol.

The play before the slant route pass interception, Lynch tried to run it in from the 5 yard line, and was stopped by the Patriots defense. The odds of Lynch making it in on another run against a Patriots stacked run defense weren't good. Which is precisely why Carroll called for a slant route pass. Carroll made the best odds call. Wilson made a bad pass, and the rest is history.

Forty years of playing and watching and I'm still learning the rules, evidently. Just like the bizarre rule applied earlier this year where you can punt twice on the same play if the circumstances allow it, now I know the players nearest the kicker on a kick-off must be outside the hash marks, but inside the numerals of the yard-lines. No wonder outsiders say it's too complicated for them to understand.
3 or 4 years ago all the players could line up on one side for the on-side kick and Bowl there way for 10 yards and knock everyone down like Bowling pins but they made the new rule to prevent injuries
I was surprised yesterday watching the Pittsburgh vs Cindy game. Defence players ant undercut lineman when there pulling and running at defensive backs at a buck 50 miles an hr. But offensive line can cut a pass rusher. Just getting sick of these rules.
I don't understand how that wasn't a catch. There was no ball movement at all. I noticed they didn't have the guy chime in like he usually does. At the worst it's inconclusive ,but should've been a catch.

Nick Bellore, #44 of Seattle, is who ruined the onside kick attempt. He's supposed to be outside of the hash marks, but when he lines up for the first attempt, he's inside of the hash marks. Wasn't even a factor during the recovery, but since he doesn't know how to line up for a kickoff on the NFL, he was the reason an onside kick recovery was forfeited. He's making 4 and a half million dollars, by the way.
They're professionals and they know the rules. This looked like an intentional choice by the staff. Lets assume the first onsides attempt failed as planned, the refs would hopefully throw a flag and make them re-kick it and the kicker could have kicked it better the 2nd time. Unfortunately the 1st one was successful and the whole plan backfired.

If they play good football and lose, fine. But if a QB is obviously not giving a damn and losing, then that should be a problem.

So explain why the Falcons Jaguars Texans Raiders Panthers are perennial loosers they cant make the playoffs are they outdated?
Are their philosophies about offense and defense? Are their players pulled from the same pool as everyone else's? This is the most blanket generalization I have ever heard. Will it be true if the Steelers run the table and make the playoffs? The best answer is: It is hard to sustain an above-.500 record year in and year out while absorbing injuries and aging and sudden drop-offs in production. Every team fights those things. Fact is, Seattle and Pittsburgh have been two of the best at maintaining high quality against the odds, and they have done it for years.
Add Mike Zimmer to that list.

This Seahawks defense are some hard hitters, a little flashback of a certain era of Seahawks defense. They need to get their act together all round and this team is back to being super bowl favorites
So in other words they need to get better i almost every facet of the game and then they'll be super bowl favorites?

They're in a weird situation. Their D has been playing very well lately, but their O has been crap. If they had a better OL and their running backs were healthy I think they'd be a contender. As has been the case for years, the OL is their most significant liability.

Knew WAS was going to win this one because 1. Heinicke has played really well past 2 weeks and 2. Seahawks biggest weakness (o-line) was up against arguably WAS's best strength (front 7/d-line).

I am a Niners fan, but am utterly shocked to see the Seahawks with 8 losses. Yes, there running game has been iffy, but they still have Russell Wilson, who is a duel threat, Lockett, and Metcalf. You can still execute plays with these guys.
There are other factors as well, such as the defense having holes.
It does seem like ever since Super Bowl 49 with the interception at the goal line, the Seahawks have not fully recovered and have been fighting an uphill battle since. Occasionally, they do make it to the divisional round, and that is about it.
With Washington winning, that shakes up the play-off picture a lot. Maybe the Cowboys better start looking over their shoulders.
