It is so frustrating to find just the "perfect" sunscreen. Some brands formulate the ingredients right but than they add fragrance in it, some brands make fragrance free sunscreen but than they don't provide the full ingredients list or add some suspicious ingredient in it, Some brands make good fragrance free sunscreen but than their price is high and quantity is low, and some brands make that "perfect" sunscreen (i.e fragrance free, good ingredients, affordable price and satisfactory quantity) but again the texture is unfavourable. Not to forget that we need to apply generous amount of sunscreen over our face and body after every 2 hours, so it's obvious that the sunscreen gonna get exhaust more frequently than any other products, keeping that in mind the brands should provide satisfactory amount of sunscreens to the consumers wrt the cost.
I really don't trust some of these brands, especially the newer ones, with their SPF/PA claims. The textures are really sketchy. I wish there was a proper testing they had to go through by a third party and get a stamp of approval that confirmed that they in fact did provide the protection they claimed to provide.
@@Siya12592 I still haven't found myself a perfect sunscreen so far that's also affordable. I have been using neutragena one for a while but it can at times sting quite a bit. I thought of Qurez but it has an ingredient that's too comedogenic and I know it'll break me out. Sigh :((

Last time I emailed few brands for their sunscreen certification. Some of them provided me with the info and some of them refused to do that. I will email these brands and let you know about their responses 🙋🏻♀️
On full-face makeup, you can apply powder sunscreen every 2 hours I think that would be enough and you can apply powder from a good powder brush so it would be more even 😊

Please review the Fixderma Shadow SPF 30 Transparent Silicon Gel. It is a truly transparent gel sunscreen, is fragrance free also water resistant. Honestly im rooting for this sunscreen as ive tried so many sunscreens but sadly left with a slight if not ghostly white cast.
Please suggest an affordable mineral fragrance free sunscreen. It's really difficult to spend 600-700 on a suncreen that last for 10-15 days. (if reapplied)
It's very hard . If you want an affordable mineral sunscreen, we have Lacto calamine, a classic you see, but it has some fragrance. So what you can do is, use other skincare products that are fragrance free (like SIMPLE face wash and moisturiser) , so even if you use a sunscreen that has some fragrance, I think it would be fine . By the way, simple is quite cheap plus very trusted. We have it on nykaa I guess.

❤️I use simple refreshing face wash and then apply PHA toner from Minimalist and wait for 5-7 minutes then apply 2% Salicylic acid from Minimalist and 5% Niacinamide from Minimalist and then again wait for 2-3 minutes and i apply Reequil under eye cream and then i apply simple hydrating light moisturizer and then wait for 2-3 minutes and then apply biotique lip balm( I don't apply this communication more than 3 times in week at night ) and at day time i use simple refreshing face washthen only 5% Niacinamide from Minimalist and simple hydrating light moisturizer and then apply Reequil under eye cream then apply Reequil ultra matte sunscreen and then apply biotique lip balm ❤️i have combination to oily sensitive skin type and this combination is doing wonder to my skin ❤️ i also drink a lot of water and i excercise in daily basis ❤️i also take collagen suppliments ❤️

I go out everyday. Usually when I'm in the sun, I wear a helmet that covers my forehead and I also wear a mask. So do I really need to put sunscreen on my forehead? Because the sunscreen transfers to my helmet. I use fisico.
Hey I never tanned while wearing helmet . ( Scooty rider since school) And it's so hot inside the helmet in summers . EVERYTHING gonna melt away anyway .. so in my opinion you are good . That's what I do . Rest upto u to follow

Re'equil ultra matte dry touch sunscreen gel might be my favourite. I am just using it for past week and it works amazing. Not drying as other mattifying sunscreens, and suits well for my oily skin. I tend to breakout a lot with sunscreens but this one is amazing and I faced close to no breakouts. Wish they remove the fragrance component though.

@@risikabora5065 sadly i haven't found out a perfect one yet, i'm allergic to aloevera so can't try a lot of sunscreens as they have it. I still use this sunscreen but it sometimes stings my eyes and also i do break out in my eyebrow/hairline region using this one. So double cleansing is really essential with the sunscreens.

@@risikabora5065 it's highly recommended you see a good dermatologist, they can study your skin and recommend a good one which suits you and your skin type. Plus they can also tale care of your acne. Btw do you use sunscreen everyday even when you are inside?

And seeing a dermatologist is not really an option my mon would not allow it (and i seriously don't get why) and i don't trust my district's doc. La shield (orange and white packaging one) it gave me really bad breakouts. It took 2 -3 months to get rid of those breakouts. It felt so heavy and greasy on my skin. It felt like it was clogging my pores. And now I am horrified to try a new sunscreen and invest soo much money. And I have dry skin type. But I dont know which sunscreen should I use. I have my eyes on bello photostable and requil( blue packaging) . But I am scared to order any of these.
I can totally relate to what you're saying... After watching so many youtube videos, i found La shield to be the most suggested one. So, I decided to give it a try and Oh my God!!!! thinking about how the sunscreen felt on my skin, I still get nightmares. I don't even look at the tube anymore, it's so scary....It felt so heavy, greasy and it made me look horrible. Right after applying I used to start sweating profusely... Worst purchase ever. Loved the sunscreen recommendations but i have two doubts , first how do we know that the number of filters are enough for the sunscreen to be spf 50,for example u said the skinkraft had only titanium dioxide which is a weak filter and the second thing even if has one filter how much percentage it has should be mentioned on it. No bad ingredients & so calming to the skin. Super affordable. Doesnt cause sweating. Available in flipkart. I think there is another variant of Arata sunscreen but go for the gel one. Thank you for the first impressions and the texture shots of the sunscreens Samapti. My skin type is similar to yours and I really enjoy the Blynds emulgel SPF 40 sunscreen, white cast goes away in a few minutes and it leaves a dewy finish. For a matte sunscreen I really like the IPCA acne UV gel SPF 30 sunscreen, it has a mousse like texture similar to re'equil blue sunscreen. Will try the re'equil one as well. I am also interested in trying the bello photostable gold sunscreen.

Hi🙋🏻♀️ If benzyl alcohol is used as preservative at a low percentage then there should not be a problem unless your skin is allergic to it. Though this particular ingredient is a known allergen but I have used products with this ingredient and I did not face any issue so far.
I don't trust any other brand other than these renowned big brands. They launch products after due r and d. Neutrogena is my fav as well. I'm also waiting for the good brands to launch in India at affordable prices.

Sandiva and requill tinted sunscreens are good those doesn't give whitecast and provides foundation look on face But I usually prefer and I say la shield fisico spf 50+++ is the best Bcoz I have been using it since my school days , so I always love la shield Skin craft is just a gimik I think it's a worse skin care brand Cosiq could be better if the formula is thick Because sunscreen should act as protect barrier on skin Gel and serum formulation doesn't acts as thick barrier

But the issue it that it'll start to look really cakey after a while.. I don't apply powder even after foundation because it becomes really patchy

Some filters can sting. I think it's the zinc oxide that stings. I had used a chemical sunscreen once and it never stung.

Yes, the cosiq sunscreen stings on my face also. I put it one day on sensitized skin and had to wash it before 5 s cuz the burn was horrible.

Salicylic acid should only be applied at night

Re'equil ultra matte dry touch sunscreen gel might be my favourite. I am just using it for past week and it works amazing. Not drying as other mattifying sunscreens, and suits well for my oily skin. I tend to breakout a lot with sunscreens but this one is amazing and I faced close to no breakouts. Wish they remove the fragrance component though.
Thanks for the recommendation. Can you recommend a few more for oily skin cuz I break out a lot. Recently i brought minimalist sunscreen and the rest is history.
@@risikabora5065 sadly i haven't found out a perfect one yet, i'm allergic to aloevera so can't try a lot of sunscreens as they have it. I still use this sunscreen but it sometimes stings my eyes and also i do break out in my eyebrow/hairline region using this one. So double cleansing is really essential with the sunscreens.
@@souradipmanna even double cleansing does nothing for my skin. I really have started to hate sunscreens and exfoliating serums. I want to use spf 50 but they have the most heavy texture😭
@@risikabora5065 it's highly recommended you see a good dermatologist, they can study your skin and recommend a good one which suits you and your skin type. Plus they can also tale care of your acne. Btw do you use sunscreen everyday even when you are inside?
@@souradipmannai am mostly inside and i do use it but sometimes I have to take a break cuz the breakouts becomes worse. And seeing a dermatologist is not really an option my mon would not allow it (and i seriously don't get why) and i don't trust my district's doc. He could not even slove the skin problems we had one time
La shield (orange and white packaging one) it gave me really bad breakouts. It took 2 -3 months to get rid of those breakouts.
It felt so heavy and greasy on my skin. It felt like it was clogging my pores.
And now I am horrified to try a new sunscreen and invest soo much money.
And I have dry skin type.
But I dont know which sunscreen should I use.
I have my eyes on bello photostable and requil( blue packaging) . But I am scared to order any of these.
I can totally relate to what you're saying... After watching so many youtube videos, i found La shield to be the most suggested one. So, I decided to give it a try and Oh my God!!!! thinking about how the sunscreen felt on my skin, I still get nightmares. I don't even look at the tube anymore, it's so scary....It felt so heavy, greasy and it made me look horrible. Right after applying I used to start sweating profusely... Worst purchase ever. Like you mentioned, even I am scared of ordering a sunscreen now. As it is necessary to apply a sunscreen so I ordered UVdoux sunscreen, I just really hope that it turns out to be good😢🤞
@@jenn1332 using the uv doux one prescribed by my dermat and my face started breaking out my eyes started stinging I don’t know what to do now .. it’s 575 rupees I guess and it’s all gone waste .. it enhances my pores soo much though I have dry skin and after washing off my skin had irritation .. I’m done be dusted trying and spending money on sunscreens
@@szshaza So sorry😞 you had to go through this... The UV Doux one arrived yesterday and I haven't tried it out yet as i am not going out these days.... I have extremely oily skin, most of the sunscreens i tried out until now has atleast one major cons and every time i buy a new one thinking it to be a better, that too turns out to be unlikeable... I am heavily disappointed and sad too 😞 I don't know what to do anymore.
@@jenn1332 I used to love the purito one was my favourite until the studies showed it hardly had spf 19 in it … so I didn’t know what to do bought few sunscreens and nothing has been good since I used purito either redness , either burning sensation or breaking out though I have dry skin ..
Hi samapti how r u... i was mesmerized by the greenery around your house!!! Loved the sunscreen recommendations but i have two doubts , first how do we know that the number of filters are enough for the sunscreen to be spf 50,for example u said the skinkraft had only titanium dioxide which is a weak filter and the second thing even if has one filter how much percentage it has should be mentioned on it. I hope u clear my doubts and i also love licorice root extract!! :)

I saw cos-iq sunscreen in shark tank India, i wanted to try it but when i checked their website for ingredient list i found ethyl hexyl methoxycinnamate in the list, when i googled about it ,i got to know that its an endocrine disruptor. Its so hard to find a good sunscreen, i wonder why do brands make such harmful products.

Hey samapti please watch dr dray why to reapply sunscreen because she told there the sunscreen is reapplied to build up the product so it can give full protection so I am not sure but you should not clean your skin or remove pre -existing sunscreen to reapply sunscreen.

I don't know why no one talks about The Arata Sunscreen gel. Its a mineral sunscreen & ingredients are completely mentioned. I have super sensitive skin & i loved using it. No bad ingredients & so calming to the skin. Super affordable. Doesnt cause sweating. Available in flipkart. I think there is another variant of Arata sunscreen but go for the gel one. It deserves attention

Thank you for the first impressions and the texture shots of the sunscreens Samapti. My skin type is similar to yours and I really enjoy the Blynds emulgel SPF 40 sunscreen, white cast goes away in a few minutes and it leaves a dewy finish. For a matte sunscreen I really like the IPCA acne UV gel SPF 30 sunscreen, it has a mousse like texture similar to re'equil blue sunscreen. Will try the re'equil one as well.
I am also interested in trying the bello photostable gold sunscreen.

If benzyl alcohol is used as preservative at a low percentage then there should not be a problem unless your skin is allergic to it. Though this particular ingredient is a known allergen but I have used products with this ingredient and I did not face any issue so far.
I use spf compact powders over make up as a reapplication process. Could not find any other options.
