Hi there. After many tries I just wanted to share what worked for me. I used SKETCH PAD medium weight paper [Walmart] instead of cardstock. The sketch pad paper was more pliable for my old laser printer. Next I used a Glue Stick to make a thin line around the 4 sides of the sketch pad paper, then I attached the Tracing Paper to it. I decreased my image about half an inch prior to printing as this would allow me to use a pair of scissors and just trim the edges of the finished print without worrying about tearing the tracing paper. Thanks again for giving me options.
Thanks for the tip. It finally worked for me. I never had a problem printing on tracing paper in my old Epson L220. Now, I've got an L4160, it would print without need for any backing but only about 1 inch then completely stops without finishing the job. It finally finished printing when I added a backing but it's a problem when I'm trying to do a borderless print.
Exactly what I’ve been looking for to preprint images onto tracing paper to transfer for paint n sip classes but maybe bigger with bigger machines at Staples maybe. Thanks for sharing.
Girl, it wouldn't be an Epson ET-2803 would it? Because, if it isn't, you have hope, if it is, I'm gonna have to say you're screwed, like me. My printer is now acting a total fool!😬
You have to WAIT until ink fully dries, which on a very humid day can take "forever" , say 15 minutes to half an hour. Tracing paper will NOT absorb ink so you depend on evaporation only. Once it is dry it will not smear. Set printer to "transparency" , not plain paper.
Dumb question - I don't have that clear purple (gift wrap?) scotch tape, but the green one that's still clear but more of a frosty clear. Can I use that tape through my HP OfficeJet without ruining the printer? I also have clear packing tape
so Happy,I found you and THIS video, may be a year later, but ITS THE BEST TUTORIAL,ever! Thank you😊
Thank you so much for the thorough and clear instructions. I could not find this anywhere else so you are a blessing!

I used an HP OfficeJet. This process should work with any printer.
You mean it works on an inkjet printer just like most of epson? Doesn't it create smudges? Thanks
@@menbocabizares433 I did not have any issues with smudging on my HP Officejet Pro. Worth a try :)
Nice
Really helped me. Thanks a lot ❤️
Thank you. Debbie

Any tape will do as long as you use a small piece.
Is it possible to do this with carbon paper
inkjet or laser printer?
Hello This is applicable to canon pixma G1030 (inkjet) ?
I have an HP Officejet Pro and it works fine. I don't know if this process will work on your printer or not. Give it a try and let me know.
Hello,
Isn't it the G3010? And did it work?
You forgot to mention the type of printer used.
hp officejet inkjet !
I used an HP Officejet Pro printer
Thank you for sharing your wisdom.
